To everyone criticizing him for his list: IT IS HIS OPINION. I don't agree with some of the choices here and there are some movies that I would add, but that doesn't matter because this is his list, not mine.
Guy Simchony Completely agree, people can disagree without being nasty and just give him your Top 10, don't give him shit for stating his own opinion, I felt Hawksaw Ridge>Civil War in my opinion but I can roll with Jeremy cause it is HIS OWN OPINION,
Ernst Stavro Blofeld It really wasn't. In fact it changed nothing at all, the movie was a mess from the get-go. Before you accuse me of being a Marvel fanboy, Batman is my favourite superhero, so hush.
Your crazy if you think the extra 30 minutes didn't change the film. It went up significantly for it filled in most of the plot holes and turned a messy story into a coherent one while also strengthening the character motivations while overall feeling like a complete experience. Even the editing became great.
10. Beautiful film. 9. Didn't see this movie, but I'll check it out later. 8. Love it. 7. Didn't see this movie, but I'll check it in January. 6. It was great spinoff film. 5. Love it. 4. It was okay, but too overrated. 3. Fantastic epic war film. 2. Love it even more. It's so good. 1. Love it.
Here's my own top 10 best films of 2016: 10. 10 Cloverfield Lane (2016) 9. Deadpool (2016) 8. Kubo and the Two Strings (2016) 7. Zootopia (2016) 6. Captain America: Civil War (2016) 5. Jackie (2016) 4. Arrival (2016) 3. Moonlight (2016) 2. Manchester by the Sea (2016) Honorable Mentions: - Bleed for This (2016) - The Conjuring 2 (2016) - Hacksaw Ridge (2016) - Hail Caesar! (2016) - Hardcore Henry (2015) - Hell or High Water (2016) - Kung Fu Panda 3 (2016) - Moana (2016) - Nocturnal Animals (2016) - Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) - Trolls (2016) - The VVitch (2015) - X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) and...my number one... is "Someone In the Crowd to be one if you want to know!" 1. La La Land (2016) (My favorite film of all time and number 1 film of 2016) Thank you and see you next films of 2017. Goodbye
I'm not entirely sure that makes sense.. if you were surprised they came out this year that would mean you thought they came out last year which would be even longer ago and you would be more surprised at how fast the time has flown since those movies came out last year
***** well, gravity is an illusion too, space doesnt exist. we are all a simulator for gods to test their true product. we are all a character, 1 each assigned to each god.
1. La La Land 2. Moonlight 3. Edge Of Seventeen 4. Everybody Wants Some 5. Arrival 6. The Nice Guys 7. A Monster Calls 8. Sing Street 9. Hell Or High Water 10. Civil War Everybody Wants Some is a masterpiece of dialogue , the way the characters talk with each other is incredible and so real , nothing can touch La La Land though , movie from beginning to end was perfection
its so sad to see ppl just blindly jump on the bvs and suicide squad hate bandwagon i doubt most of them even watched that. i liked dc movies and marvel movies this year
It is one of the best movies I have seen in a few years. It has a good story, great characters, beautiful choreography. The set design is very good. Excellent acting from pretty much the whole cast.
+KRYMauL actually a lot of stuff is still gonna be changed. Sure Tony can contact Steve, but they're not friends. Russos have said that civil war will still be very relevant int infinity war and be not biding we'll for the avengers relationships
1. The handmaiden 2. The salesman 3. Arrival 4. Nocturnal Animals 5. The revenant 6. Moonlight 7. Kubo and the two strings 8. Tickled 9. Graduation 10. Hail Caesar Note: The revenant got a different release date in my country, that's why it is in my 2016 list.
hXc Marc I thought it was pretty good. I haven't seen Moonlight, La La Land, or Silence yet, but Manchester, Hell or High Water, The Wilderpeople, Nice Guys, Arrival, and Hacksaw Ridge are all amazing films. Zootopia and Deadpool are some of the best blockbusters of the decade. I also really loved The Accountant.
Batman v Superman (Ultimate edition), Rogue One, Don't Breath, Jungle book, Fantastic Beasts, Dr Strange, The Magnificent 7, Star Trek Beyond are all better than Deadpool. Deadpool is overrated and the storyline sucks
the storyline isnt what deadpool is about. You go to see a deadpool movie, you want to see deadpool doing deadpool things, you don't go for an overly complicated plot. Or you could, but have Deadpool complaining about how the plot is overly complicated
1. How is it overrated? 2. The plot has to be like that for the movie to work. 3. Use English, please. 4. Batman Vs. Superman was good - not as good as Deadpool.
TheMrsakid Sure, if you enjoy sloppy editing, bad pacing, no character development, cringey lines, bad writing, questionable directing... then sure! It's your favorite
These are my Top 10: 10. Deadpool 9. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story 8. Moana 7. Deepwater Horizon 6. Manchester by the Sea 5. Hacksaw Ridge 4. La La Land 3. Moonlight 2. Captain America: Civil War 1. Arrival
Half-Hazard I'm with you there I almost thought he would put it at number one! I would have kept Kubo and swapped out Moana for zootopia. That's going to go head-to-head with Kubo this season for awards. Laika has continually done fantastic work
Half-Hazard I respectfully disagree. The biggest weakness of Zootopia was that its message was fine but it betrayed the message consistently by actively participating in the stereotyping of the characters. I've pointed this out in discussions and most open minded people have actually felt it changed their perception of the film as a whole
Great video. looked up a top 10 of 2016 movies to get an idea of what I would want to watch with my girlfriend tonight after she is off from work. It helped a lot! =] I do have one suggestion. When I click an Annotation on this video rather than opening up a new tab, my web browser (chrome) would take me to a different video altogether. Forcing me to hit the back button so I could come back to this video. Every Time this would happen the video would play from the beginning, forcing me to sit through another ad, and resulting in me clicking around to found where I left off so I could see the rest of the video. I almost didn't watch the whole video because of it. Also It made me not want to click on all the annotations. but I wanted to know more about almost all of these movies, as I don't have a lot of time to pay attention to movies of 2016. just some minor gripes, but I love your content, I will Probably subscribe after dropping this comment.
Here's mine. 10. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story - Bland characters, good action. 9. Captain America: Civil War - Good conflict, some plot contrivances, averts doomsday trope. 8. Zootopia - Good themes, interesting characters, pacing can be a bit off at times. 7. Hacksaw Ridge - Excellent character development, reminded me of Band of Brothers. 6. The Nice Guys - Funny but dark, an interesting movie overall. 5. Moana - Good music, amazing animation, has some pacing issues. 4. Patriots Day - A glimpse into the minds of sociopaths countered by a good dose of "the good" in most people. 3. Deadpool - Easily the best superhero movie of 2016, but then Doctor Strange came out. Also it was produced by Asshats. 2. Kubo and The Two Strings - Beautifully put together movie with an amazing degree of proficiency. 1. Doctor Strange - A mind-blowing visual spectacle which still manages to tell a cohesive story, honestly better than Civil War on several levels.
My Top 10: 1. Arrival 2. Hacksaw Ridge 3. Deadpool 4. The Nice Guys 5. La La Land 6. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (Ultimate Edition) 7. Zootopia 8. Don't Breathe 9. Deepwater Horizon 10. The Jungle Book
Jeremy proves yet again why he's the best reviewer on Earth. He's not up his own ass at times like Stuckmamann and continues to approach movies the same way he did when he first started. I feel like other reviewers are buying into their own hype and it's hurting their reviews
my top 5 was Hacksaw Ridge, Star Wars: Rouge One, Deadpool, Kubo and the Two Strings, and Captain America: Civil War. Swiss Army Man was also a bizarro "indy" project that deverses attention and 10 Cloverfield Lane was very underrated
Top ten for me this year 10. Nocturnal Animals 9. Sully 8. Deadpool 7. Hell or High Water 6. The Nice Guys 5. Manchester by the Sea 4. Swiss Army Man 3. Hacksaw Ridge 2. La La Land Honorable Mentions: Rogue One, Civil War, Midnight Special, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Zootopia, Kubo 1: Arrival
Wow, you didn't watch that many movies this year huh? I mean you missed all these gems. Green Room Midnight Special The Nice Guys Swiss Army Man Hell or High Water
10. Zootopia 9. The Conjuring 2 8. Manchester by the Sea 7. Moonlight 6. The Edge of Seventeen 5. The Nice Guys 4. Arrival 3. Hacksaw Ridge 2. Captain America: Civil War 1. La La Land Honorable mentions: Sing Street, Doctor Strange, Hell or Highwater, Don't Breathe, Deepwater Horizon, Star Trek Beyond, Deadpool
I feel like Arrival is 2016's "Ex Machina", great movie, really loved it, but sadly I couldn't convince any of my friends to see it since it doesn't have shit-tons of explosions and stupid jokes.
I didn't see a lot of movies this year but.. 1. Moana 2. Zootopia 3. Deadpool Moana is my baby! It was so beautiful and just warmed my heart. Now I'm waiting for Disney to make a latina princess movie!
1. Miracles from Heaven 2. Lion 3. Rogue One 4. Sing Street 5. A Monster Calls 6.Captain America 3 7. Finding Dory 8. Hidden Figures 9. Until Forever 10. Kubo and the Two Strings
The Director Of Kubo And The Two Strings is directing the new Transformers Bumblebee movie. Hopefully he can make this transformers movie Awesometacular!
my top ten movies that came out in 2016 were 10. the conjuring 2 9. the nice guys 8. magnificent 7 7. deadpool 6. hacksaw ridge 5. hell or high water 4. star wars rogue one 3.doctor strange 2. arrival 1. captain amerce civil war there are some movies I had not seen yet
Disappointed in your list Jeremy, weren't you one of the people who was a really big fan of suicide squad? Where is it? Why's there two animated movies over ss???
my top ten in no order 1. civil war 2. dr strange 3. fantastic beasts 4. kubo of the two strings 5. deadpool 6. rogue one 7. kingsglaive final fantasy xv 8. the boy and the beast 9. finding dory 10. 10 cloverfield lane
First time watching one of this guy's videos because UA-cam recommended it based on another reviewer I subscribe to and watch regularly, but boy are the hand gestures distracting.
My Top 10: 10. Hacksaw Ridge 9. Kubo and the Two Strings 8. Moonlight 7. Moana 6. The Wailing 5. Nocturnal Animals 4. Manchester by the Sea 3. Silence 2. Your Name 1. La La Land Honorable Mentions: *Rogue One: A Star Wars Story *The Handmaiden *Hell or High Water *The Nice Guys *The Jungle Book *Arrival *Don't Breathe *Under the Shadow
rogue one was absolutely trash, sooo boring the damn robot had more personality than any of the other characters. i was asleep for most of it cause it never grabbed my attention.
Destroyer of worlds uh oh,little dumb 12 year old is upset that "muh stur wurz" fucking sucked this year,if you think Arrival was boring I suggest you watch dumb popcorn movies if you are too simple minded to realize how great arrival was
Top 10 Best Movies of 2016: 10. Moana 9. Star Wars 3.85 (aka: Star Wars Rogue 1) 8. Zootopia 7. Kubo & The 2 Strings 6. Captain America 3 5. Monster Trucks (in Hong Kong it comes out Boxing Day; Boxing Day is the day after Christmas) 4. The Mermaid (that was a Hong Kong only release) 3. Eddie the Eagle 2. 007 Spectre (in Hong Kong it comes out in early 2016) 1. Passengers (I ❤️ Passengers)
Ziad Salem Moonlight and Manchester by the Sea are great films but they have low rewatch value, and La La Land is overrated, (I'm not saying that La La Land is a bad movie, in fact I love La La Land but people hyped it up way too much and personally Whiplash is a better film)
Luke Pike IKR? I go to the comment section looking for fun, civilized debate on what the best films of the year have been, and this is what I get... poor Jeremy, he must think we're all butthurt idiots
Guy Simchony Totally. It's ridiculous man. I really get tired of it after a while. Like if someone says they liked Batman V Superman or didn't like Dead Pool or Rogue One or something, then people immediately start getting SO butt hurt like you said. They get all worked up and wet their pants over nothing. It's like they're not confident enough in their own opinion of something, so they have to band together with other people and let the whole world know why they're right and other people are wrong about something so insignificant as a movie. So stupid.
It's kind of hard to like the DCEU movies (seriously Suicide Squad is one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my life. I DESPISE that movie) but some of them are not as bad as people have told me. Except for Suicide Squad, it was worse than what they've told me
Guy Simchony someone's favorite movie is their favorite movie. There's just no debate about that. It's not like they're saying it's the GREATEST movie they've seen this year, it's just the one they've enjoyed the most. People need to understand that. Jeremy's list is HIS BEST. Not THE BEST.
I just think Zootopia deserved to be on this list and as much i love Civil war i think it's a bit too high but still great list! Also 2 films havent seen yet. Looking forward to.
fuck this list, overrated af. here's mine: Max Steel Suicide Squad Nine Lives Batman V. Superman Independence Day: Resurgence Allegiant Zoolander 2 Assassin's Creed Alice Through the Looking Glass When The Bough Breaks
I enjoyed the heck out of it. There were pieces of conversations i could understand because i took philosophy, the principle of study and practice, and visual effects were all there for me :)
Han Solo I am not I have some difficulty putting it into words. It was a good movie. I liked it, but I didn't love it, and I wasn't blown away by it. Perhaps it just didn't resonate with me personally, for some reason? I don't get as excited by special effects as some people do, even if they're amazing. I really enjoyed Rogue One. I don't know. *shrugs*
Fuck that movie. I get every single message and the point the movie was conveying. But i dont give 2 shits about that. I loved cloverfield. Thought I was getting a sequel, turns out I was literally hustled by a damn movie director and everyone pretended like that shit was ok. I mean I only spent 30 fucking dollars taking my wife and mom to see what we all thought was cloverfield 2.
Maybe he payed the penalty rate, he's freakin rich and thats why he agreed with the government deal. He's an asset of the Government. If you know many things about politics, you will get what I mean.
It was amazing. I mean if you were a fan of those type of movies then it was amazing. If you didn't like any other of the Marvel movies, this wasn't going to be the movie to change your mind. Its more of the same stuff. And most fans love it
if you don't have time/Don't want to watch here... 10. moana 9. the edge of seventeen 8. kubo 7. patriots day 6. rogue one 5. deadpool 4. deepwater horizon 3. hacksaw ridge 2. captain America civil war 1. arrival Thanks for reading 😎
itsthehouse! Oh really? Thank you for enlightening me as to which movies are undisputedly better than others. I'm sure Jeremy would also appreciate your correction of his grave mistake of a list.
Guy Simchony your welcome. both of those films received higher ratings than any film on this list from EVERY SINGLE respected critic. so it's not me telling you..it's world renowned film critics.
itsthehouse! Mate, I think you need to understand that even if an opinion is nearly completely consensual it never becomes fact. Cinema is art, and art is subjective. As much as some of us may want it to, it will never become fact that The Godfather is a great film - yes, almost every single person who has seen it loves it, but there is always room for disagreement, it is not scientifically proven stuff.
imo top 10 for me 10.The Conjuring 2 9.10 Cloverfield Lane 8.Civil War 7.Moana 6.Edge of Seventeen 5.Deadpool 4.Arrival 3.Deepwater Horizon 2.Kubo and the two strings 1.Hacksaw Ridge I feel like the people who say this year sucked for movies are 12 year old who only saw big blockbusters and nothing else
Tywin Lannister it didn't suck.....but it wasn't great. I've seen around 80 of this year's movies, and there's only like 6 or 7 that I loved. 2015 I had like 15, and 2014 I had like 30.
Yeah, it sucked for the biggest budgeted films. But man, such amazing films for more mid-range to indie films. And more high profile talent is willing to get into the indie films (sometimes it sounds like they get paid better too).
Wait. What? Deadpool was this year? Man, that feels like 2 years ago.
MrGhost370 nah. That was last year
Frank! I know, right?!
The Revenant 2016
The Revenant was released 2015
ikr, that's 2016 for you
To everyone criticizing him for his list: IT IS HIS OPINION. I don't agree with some of the choices here and there are some movies that I would add, but that doesn't matter because this is his list, not mine.
OldCrotchety THANK YOU
OldCrotchety I don't mind people voicing their disagreement with the list (that's the whole fun!); it's just the rude butthurt way they do so...
Guy Simchony
Completely agree,
people can disagree without being nasty and just give him your Top 10, don't give him shit for stating his own opinion, I felt Hawksaw Ridge>Civil War in my opinion but I can roll with Jeremy cause it is HIS OWN OPINION,
normal educated human spotted
Congrats mate
OldCrotchety you defending him is as pointless as ppl saying hes wrong lol dont even try brah
Calm down DC fans. Batman V Superman will be on the second list. ; )
lol! oh yeah... it will be!
Batman V Superman (Ultimate Edition) was amazing!
Ernst Stavro Blofeld
It really wasn't. In fact it changed nothing at all, the movie was a mess from the get-go. Before you accuse me of being a Marvel fanboy, Batman is my favourite superhero, so hush.
Sinier940n it will be on the list alright....
on the worst movies of 2016

Thank you and see you next films of 2017. Goodbye
Felipe Rico Deepwater Horizon is my number 2 on my list it deserve every single praise it got and my number 1 is Hacksaw Ridge.
How is Deepwater Horizon overrated?
where the hell is Don't Breathe
Don't Breathe sucked ass
Damn Civil War and Deadpool where this year ? Time flies..
Also I really liked Doctor Strange, just putting that out there.
I'm not entirely sure that makes sense.. if you were surprised they came out this year that would mean you thought they came out last year which would be even longer ago and you would be more surprised at how fast the time has flown since those movies came out last year
do you mean time slows?
mikeynike81 possibly...
Yeah I meant that it felt like it came out last year I'm sorry.
So when 2020 hits are you gonna do a top ten movies of the decade?
American Empire I think top 20 movies it’s better just because it’s 2020 lmao
@@jesuschavez9110 Exactly
Not until 2021. The current decade doesn't end until December 31, 2020.
@Nathan Derrick Not how that works.... dumbass
Hi
I am from 2020 (nearly)
and NOOO
he hasn't done it yet
boy did this year go slow. dead pool? captain america? zootopia? 100% 3 years ago, and time is just an illusion
Yeah, I was shocked when I heard Deadpool. I thought that had to have been at least a year ago.
Lol true
Zachary Goddard good question
***** well, gravity is an illusion too, space doesnt exist. we are all a simulator for gods to test their true product. we are all a character, 1 each assigned to each god.
Im shocked to see that crap on top lists
The butt hurt flows through this comment section.

For me The Nice Guys was #1. I just had so much fun watching that movie, an instant all time favorite for me.
Austin Culver Same. Possibly in my top ten of all time. Easily my favorite comedy.
Austin Culver AGREE👍🏻
It's my number 2 film of the year (JUST became beaten, BARELY, by La La Land. The Nice Guys was #1 since I had seen it back in August.)
Austin Culver Preach!
Easily my favorite of the year. Might be one of my favorite comedies ever right alongside Hot Fuzz.
The Nice Guys went undetected under everyone's radar
chris loved it
but he's right though. It lost money. It made $57 mill on a $50 mil budget.
The scene were Gosling cuts his wrist trying to break in a bar or something had me dying with laughter
Aurodeep Kamal I liked it very much man
Ikr ? but it was SO good !
Read the comments at your own risk! The Marvel & DC nerds are at war....again xD
Zeng Vuh gay
Zeng Vuh 😁😁
Zeng Vuh Marvel won the 2016 battle
At civil war? L O L
its so sad to see ppl just blindly jump on the bvs and suicide squad hate bandwagon i doubt most of them even watched that. i liked dc movies and marvel movies this year
You really need to see Hell or High Water, because it is easily top three of this year.
Adler Charles ?
It is one of the best movies I have seen in a few years. It has a good story, great characters, beautiful choreography. The set design is very good. Excellent acting from pretty much the whole cast.
It was amazing! I think he should see Moonlight too
I have not seen Moonlight yet, but it does sound like a good film.
I also commented that he should see it, I'm glad I caught it before years end.
Boy this list is gonna get a ton of unnecessary hate. Especially number 2, it's his opinion guy Said! Calm down.
Scratch the said, auto correct is really weird.
A little late for that. It's a trend to hate popular things loved by many people now (TFA, Re:Zero, Deadpool)
+KRYMauL actually a lot of stuff is still gonna be changed. Sure Tony can contact Steve, but they're not friends. Russos have said that civil war will still be very relevant int infinity war and be not biding we'll for the avengers relationships
1. The handmaiden
2. The salesman
3. Arrival
4. Nocturnal Animals
5. The revenant
6. Moonlight
7. Kubo and the two strings
8. Tickled
9. Graduation
10. Hail Caesar
Note: The revenant got a different release date in my country, that's why it is in my 2016 list.
mounir maged you should definitely check out Hacksaw ridge
Magnitude Reviews Not a fan of Andrew Garfield or Mel Gibson really.
handsmaiden was amazing, started watching more korean movies and really enjoying them
Utsuro Hako Yup
True, damn Oscar bait movies coming out in January!
No one remembers them by the end of they year...lists.
I liked both but Zootopia was better than Moana
The Joker lie
I think they’re equally amazing.
!!!
Your list just shows what a shit year it was for movies. Peter Berg is so average and he has 2. The Nice Guys is the best movie of 2016.
hXc Marc it was far from a shit year
The Nice Guys was number 2 on my list.
No it was a shit year
hXc Marc no it wasn't. It was a great year
hXc Marc I thought it was pretty good.
Anyone saying the DC films were better than Marvel films this year needs a full course on filmmaking.
Belmer Fdez-Cid so you are hating on ppl for having their own opinion?
Or they just don't watch movies for quality film making.....like the vast majority of people.
"In 2009 when iron man 1 came out" anyway start screaming 2008 in there head
Daniel Kane
um 2008
hulk fan watch the video, he says it came out in 2009
Daniel Kane it was an honest mistake
Deadpool was a great movie
tru dat
unban me rc
Kevin Spacey's cat movie should be there
Nine Lives Is Ok Not Great
Get Lost Troll
My Number 1 movie in 2016:
Moon (2009)
That's right! I saw it few days ago. And it was better than every other movies in 2016
I'll almost always check out anything Sam Rockwell is in.
is that the one with Sam Rockwell? Is Kevin Spacey in it too? I've been meaning to check that out for a really looooooooong time.
awesome420ication yup, you're spot on!
Mushfiqur Rahman The movie was so underrated.
My Best films 2016:
- Hacksaw Ridge
- Captain America: Civil War
- Deepwater: Horizon
- Deadpool
@Blackcobra, SSSSSH! Don't say Deadpool sucks, otherwise, the little fanboys will throw a fit.
TheJustin4848 Don't bother having a dissenting opinion, the condescending assholes will attack.
Person take your own advice
BvS is the best movie of 2016.yeah i said it. Come at me
TheMrsakid Sure, if you enjoy sloppy editing, bad pacing, no character development, cringey lines, bad writing, questionable directing... then sure! It's your favorite
Save Martha...
WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME?!?!
I love how much you're insecure about your own opinions that you had to say "Come at me". :p
TastyDash its his opinion
I hated BvS. I think it's a mess from start to finish. However you're completely entitled to have your opinion and I respect you for talking about it.
start 1:30
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *Batman vs. Shitman* didn't even make it to the list! :D
He didn't exactly give it a glowing review. Did you expect it to?
Cause he didn't like it that much to put it on the list. I mean its his list not everyone's list.
Don't worry it'll be on the list tomorrow
Commander Shepard I don't think it's on anyone's list..
it's probably not going to be on the worst list either, which i think is fair.
No Zootopia? Surprising.
These are my Top 10:
10. Deadpool
9. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
8. Moana
7. Deepwater Horizon
6. Manchester by the Sea
5. Hacksaw Ridge
4. La La Land
3. Moonlight
2. Captain America: Civil War
1. Arrival
For me it's
Deadpool, Doctor Strange, Suicide Squad, Rogue One, Civil War, Jason Bourne
They're easily my top 5 picks
Suicide squad was a letdown
Rob Picken your list is trash
Itz_Justin FTW and you're opinion is irrelevant 🍻
Jeremy your one of my most favourite UA-camr, can't wait to see your reviews next year
No Nice Guys? That should be either #2 or #1 well for me
Absolutely. That and Everybody Wants Some!! are my two favorites so far
Haven't seen it yet. I want to though, but never got around to it. But I am a huge fan of the song Dazed and Confused by Led Zeppelin lol
agree
I have to agree. Nice Guys should have made the list.
No Zootopia, but Moana and Kubo made it on here? Okay.
Half-Hazard I'm with you there I almost thought he would put it at number one! I would have kept Kubo and swapped out Moana for zootopia. That's going to go head-to-head with Kubo this season for awards. Laika has continually done fantastic work
Zootopia was good but Kubo was a lot better. I haven't seen Moana but it looks better than Zootopia.
Kubo was AMAZING! Other two, good movies, but not amazing.
13dirty666 Definetely not, all three are good, but Zootopia was hands down the best of them.
1. Doctor Strange - A mind-blowing visual spectacle which still manages to tell a cohesive story, honestly better than Civil War on several levels.
that's all well and good...but what about Kung Fu Panda 3?
Mugh Hungus
It was decent, but not best of the year material
Mugh Hungus it was bad.
Hell or High Water doesn't have to be on the list but Its a GREAT movie! Bless
My Top 10:
1. Arrival
2. Hacksaw Ridge
3. Deadpool
4. The Nice Guys
5. La La Land
6. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (Ultimate Edition)
7. Zootopia
8. Don't Breathe
9. Deepwater Horizon
10. The Jungle Book
Jeremy proves yet again why he's the best reviewer on Earth. He's not up his own ass at times like Stuckmamann and continues to approach movies the same way he did when he first started. I feel like other reviewers are buying into their own hype and it's hurting their reviews
So much respect for *Hacksaw Ridge* :D
However, my parents warned me not to watch *Arrival* - said I'd hate it, so...?
If you really want to see Arrival, just take the plunge and watch it. You should rely on your own judgment if something is good or bad.
Amelia Doubleyou It's not an action movie. It's a drama movie. If you go in expecting a drama movie, you'll be fine.
I thought Arrival was dull.
my top 5 was Hacksaw Ridge, Star Wars: Rouge One, Deadpool, Kubo and the
Two Strings, and Captain America: Civil War. Swiss Army Man was also a
bizarro "indy" project that deverses attention and 10 Cloverfield Lane
was very underrated
it's indie and why did you put it in quotes?
that was weird auto correct on my phone. with the quotes, it is because it is a vague word and at some point, it will become arbitrary
slashandbones13 I don't think Cloverfield is underrated, it's at like 90% on RT
Guy Simchony but was anybody big talking about it
slashandbones13 I've seen it on a few critics' lists
Top ten for me this year
10. Nocturnal Animals
9. Sully
8. Deadpool
7. Hell or High Water
6. The Nice Guys
5. Manchester by the Sea

2. Captain America: Civil War
1. La La Land
Honorable mentions: Sing Street, Doctor Strange, Hell or Highwater, Don't Breathe, Deepwater Horizon, Star Trek Beyond, Deadpool
I feel like Arrival is 2016's "Ex Machina", great movie, really loved it, but sadly I couldn't convince any of my friends to see it since it doesn't have shit-tons of explosions and stupid jokes.
1. Batman v Superman...
... just kidding
Lautaro Maiarú WORST! (Drake voice)
I didn't see a lot of movies this year but..

Disappointed in your list Jeremy, weren't you one of the people who was a really big fan of suicide squad? Where is it? Why's there two animated movies over ss???
Suicide Squad over Kubo? Hell no.
He put it SS as blu Ray score not awesometacular
Hellmouth024 I hope this is a joke
You say that like animated movies are automatically inferior just because they're animated.
Arrival is my number 1 as well.

1:29 Because time is money.
👍👍👍
First time watching one of this guy's videos because UA-cam recommended it based on another reviewer I subscribe to and watch regularly, but boy are the hand gestures distracting.
My absolute favorite movie of 2016 was "kimi no na wa/Your Name", I was completely disappointed when I found out no one mentioned it in the comments.
La la land should've made the list!!
Jordan Langford YESSS I JUST WATCHED THAT

In some countries it was released this year
OhSnap321 in America it was released on January of this year
we are likely going to get that dream zelda movie, nintendo announces that they are making movies.
rogue one was absolutely trash, sooo boring the damn robot had more personality than any of the other characters. i was asleep for most of it cause it never grabbed my attention.
Dameon Leh lol yea the damn robot did a good job
Destroyer of worlds uh oh,little dumb 12 year old is upset that "muh stur wurz" fucking sucked this year,if you think Arrival was boring I suggest you watch dumb popcorn movies if you are too simple minded to realize how great arrival was
Where is The Accountant?!?!?! Unexpectedly so amazing in so many ways.
Top 10 Best Movies of 2016:
10. Moana
9. Star Wars 3.85 (aka: Star Wars Rogue 1)
8. Zootopia
7. Kubo & The 2 Strings
6. Captain America 3
5. Monster Trucks (in Hong Kong it comes out Boxing Day; Boxing Day is the day after Christmas)
4. The Mermaid (that was a Hong Kong only release)

2. 007 Spectre (in Hong Kong it comes out in early 2016)
1. Passengers (I ❤️ Passengers)
Where the fuck is suicide squad?? Disliked, unsubscribed, reported
Lol, that should be in his next video ;)
DC fanboy logic^^^^
Batman was atleast enjoyable at times but suicide squad was just plain bad
Coltsrock56 Marvel will always be in DC's shadow you know that
no LA LA LAND or Manchester by the sea or moonlight??
Ziad Salem he hasn't seen MBTS or Moonlight
do you really think Jeremy has seen that?
Dalton Deverell he's seen La La Land but not Manchester by the sea or Moonlight
The Vagabond I know hes seen la la land but no hell or high water or moonlight or manchester by the sea.
Ziad Salem Moonlight and Manchester by the Sea are great films but they have low rewatch value, and La La Land is overrated, (I'm not saying that La La Land is a bad movie, in fact I love La La Land but people hyped it up way too much and personally Whiplash is a better film)
7:16 Doesn't Jeremy mean 2008 when Iron Man came out?
Close enough
It never ceases to baffle me how rude and totally oblivious to the concept of opinions people are. Especially on the internet. Good lord.
So stupid.
Exactly! Just let the man have an opinion, damn.
Luke Pike I don't agree with you and you shouldn't either.
did you just buy a pc this week ?
Jeremy Jahns: Here's my opinion.
The Internet: JEREMY WHERE IS MY FAV MOVIE?!!
This comment section makes me laugh. People are now saying that batman v superman is better than civil war? Now that's a good one lol
Michael Emerson-Quaynor lmao
Michael Emerson-Quaynor it's not better, but the ultimate edition is right next to it for me
The truth is sometimes funny
Michael Emerson-Quaynor Maybe it is, at least in their opinion. Get over it dude. Not everyone thinks the same.
STLBLUESLAMBOFGOD Exactly
I hate when DC and marvel fans argue just like both its possible, be grateful comics are on the big screen
Felipe Sanchez
Agreed! Soo Happy I am a HUGE Fan of Both, But Star Wars Is > DC and Marvel
IKR?? Avengers is great, as is the justice league. Spider man is great as is Batman.
+Nick Sketch XD yes.
It's kind of hard to like the DCEU movies (seriously Suicide Squad is one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my life. I DESPISE that movie) but some of them are not as bad as people have told me. Except for Suicide Squad, it was worse than what they've told me
Agree why not both ?
(Can i add anime into the mix ?)
Civil War was amazing. Not biased whatsoever.
King of Wakanda here you are! Have read some of these comments? I can't believe how infantile the UA-cam commenters are!
King of Wakanda the point of having a top 10 FAVORITE movies is so that you can fucking be biased.
luisgarza1000 it was a joke dude
King of Wakanda I love you man (No homo) and I hope you had a great Christmas!
I just think Zootopia deserved to be on this list and as much i love Civil war i think it's a bit too high but still great list! Also 2 films havent seen yet. Looking forward to.
nah.
Diego MV I loved Zootopia too. I saw it thrice on a plane journey and it was moving and well crafted in my opinion.
Amber Shoffren yes it was! i liked it a bit more than Moana.
didn't zootopia come out in 2015?
nevermind
The American election 2016 is the best movie. For some people it was motivational ,for some tragedy, for majority it was comedic gold !
Cat Master Race Yeah, but the ending was terrible
+The Nerd Show it was a good ending because the good guys won
Cat Master Race i don't think it was canon.
Ken Bone in the wrestling world, both candidates were heels
The Nerd Show Circlejerk more
fuck this list, overrated af.
here's mine:
Max Steel
Suicide Squad
Nine Lives
Batman V. Superman
Independence Day: Resurgence
Allegiant
Zoolander 2
Assassin's Creed
Alice Through the Looking Glass
When The Bough Breaks
UnbelievabIeMontages lmao I hope you're joking. the moment I saw assassin creed, independence day 2, zoolander 2, man u got horrible taste in movies.
UnbelievabIeMontages sarcasm i like it
Nice Bait. :)
UnbelievabIeMontages HAHAHA. This should be the number 1 comment. This guy is a genius. Lets see how many fall for this.....
This is the best list. 100%.
I would watch movies but this one player keeps kicking my ass...
Christian Hernandez is it the legend 27?
Is it JJ Abrams?
Christian Hernandez 🖕
Christian Hernandez no moonlight ?
Harambe?
I didn't like Dr. Strange as much as the Internet told me I should have liked it.
ryanspears1986 How so my friend: )
I enjoyed the heck out of it. There were pieces of conversations i could understand because i took philosophy, the principle of study and practice, and visual effects were all there for me :)
Han Solo I am not I have some difficulty putting it into words. It was a good movie. I liked it, but I didn't love it, and I wasn't blown away by it. Perhaps it just didn't resonate with me personally, for some reason? I don't get as excited by special effects as some people do, even if they're amazing. I really enjoyed Rogue One. I don't know. *shrugs*
ryanspears1986 it's ok -w- *huhs*
No ones telling you what you should do its jus other people's opinions... Now go rewatch dr. Strange and LOVE IT DAMMIT!!
10 cloverfield lane is so fucking underrated. shouldve been on here
yeah definitely underrated. it was a great movie
That movie was fuckin terrible are you serious?!
IJ yes
Fuck that movie. I get every single message and the point the movie was conveying. But i dont give 2 shits about that. I loved cloverfield. Thought I was getting a sequel, turns out I was literally hustled by a damn movie director and everyone pretended like that shit was ok. I mean I only spent 30 fucking dollars taking my wife and mom to see what we all thought was cloverfield 2.
It was my favorite movie this year.
Bite me for saying this but Don't Breathe, Green Room, The Jungle Book and 10 Cloverfield Lane was so overlooked which is a shame.....
barry elms Kind of agree with you, except for Green Room. I found it pretty shitty...
barry elms yes I think jungle book and 10 clover field lane were immediately forgotten which I think is such a shame
barry elms I forgot those even came out this year
barry elms The Jungle book had amazing unbelievable CGI, but that's about it... Without it the movie would be simply "meh"
CheesyTits - Yeah totally agree CGI was fantastic
Civil war was wayyyy better than i expected honestly
olivia theweirdo it wasn't all that good
Cynical Movement watch it again
Zach Geiser I watched it twice and it's a good movie but it's really overrated
Not for me, it just keeps getting better
I agree, one of Marvel's best movies
Why is Suicide Squad number 1
anal really? won the bother watching
anal because they are kinda suicide squad 😂
Rogue One wasn't number 1.
it deserves that with all the immersive story telling........
i mean with the story telling part was immersed
it should be number 2
Why isn't Tony Stark in jail. He created a weapon of mass destruction, Ultron?
Bar Kelly Greatest question of 2017. Nicely said
Maybe he payed the penalty rate, he's freakin rich and thats why he agreed with the government deal. He's an asset of the Government. If you know many things about politics, you will get what I mean.
because he's probaly the only 1 who can stop it so if you lock him up its fuged
Why isn't Magneto in jail? He WAS a weapon of mass destruction?
Billionaire don't go to jail.
my favorite movie of the year is "Swiss army man"
OverDev SAME
OverDev same
OverDev Same. May as well add on to the list
in my top 5 for sure...
Swiss army man was a beautiful film!
Why isn't The Bee Movie #1?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Didn't come out in 2016, mate.
Jason Aguilar becouse it didnt come out in 2016
I guess he doesn't like Jazz?
Da King in da Norf I bet he doesn't believe in Colony Collapse Disorder either, the heathen.
Jason Aguilar because it came out in 2007 and it fuckin sucked
I thought civil war was plain bad
SHHHHHHHHHH! You can't say that! Otherwise all the little fanboys will start throwing a fit over it!
It was Meh. Spider man was great in it though
The jokes every 5 seconds ruined it for me
Good I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking that.
It was amazing. I mean if you were a fan of those type of movies then it was amazing. If you didn't like any other of the Marvel movies, this wasn't going to be the movie to change your mind. Its more of the same stuff. And most fans love it
if you don't have time/Don't want to watch here...
10. moana
9. the edge of seventeen
8. kubo
7. patriots day
6. rogue one
5. deadpool
4. deepwater horizon
3. hacksaw ridge
2. captain America civil war
1. arrival
Thanks for reading 😎
2017 is going to be the hardest list.
TGA Super Plays I agree.
TGA Super Plays its gonna be an epic year. 2016 was great but 2017 has got a lot of great ones coming
Don't be so sure. Everyone had high anticipations for 2016 and we all know how that went...
TGA Super Plays unless it's like this year
Are you from the future?
wow Dr Strange isn't even on the list :O
David Tay yea I'm surprised I thought it was going to be #1. I haven't seen it yet but I heard a lot of good things about that movie.
Joker__ Better than civil war
David Tay that movie was sooo mediocre. it dosent deserve a top ten spot
Superhero movies are overrated
Marvel movies are not good enough to be on top 10. They are fun and mediocore. Every movie is same more or less.
I haven't watched this video yet, but if suicide squad is on here...
Yeah, let's be honest, the only reason anyone watched or would still watch suicide squad was and is for Margot Robbie...
matilija this
matilija not true I thought all the squad members were great except Deadnot yeah he was useless. Ropes?!?!!?
It was meant to be a facetious statement, not to be taken seriously...but ok...
No way bro, Deadshot and Margot were the highlights of this movie, the rest was literally "a swirling pile of trash"
2 marvel movies on your top 10. It be funny if you had 2 DC movies on your worst 10 lol
a little funny, but a lot more accurate.
lol
c21dickcracker he liked suicide squad so but bvs will most likely will be on there
Probably Suicide Squad will make that list, not sure about Batman v Superman.
Fernando Mayor he gave suicide squad a buy it on blu ray
You should check out Hell or High Water, it's a damn fine film, and definitely on my top 10 list of the year so far.
Dormammu it's a great film indeed sir👏
Dormammu Weird... I didn't post this comment... are you another person with the same name AND profile pic??... a Dormammu wanna be I guess..
Dormammu ur stuck in a time loop😱
Dormammu just watched it last night. impressive, most impressive
Dormammu I've come to bargain.
As a DC fan. I give marvel props for executing some good movies this year..
DC has the better TV shows. Marvel has the better movies IMO
Doctor Strange is the only one in my opinion.
Ryan Sarmanian Have you seen Daredevil or Jessica Jones? Way better than the Flash or Arrow.
LegendKidd Dr strange was my favorite of this year saw it twice
Bazooka Penguinz Jessica jones Is not good.
moonlight? La la land? the nice guys? silence? the witch? ...
itsthehouse! He liked all 3 of those that he saw (hasn't seen silence). Just didn't make the list
Guy Simchony they were better than any movie he had on the list. Moonlight and la la land were the best films of 2016 BY FAR.
itsthehouse!
As much as some of us may want it to, it will never become fact that The Godfather is a great film - yes, almost every single person who has seen it loves it, but there is always room for disagreement, it is not scientifically proven stuff.
imo top 10 for me
10.The Conjuring 2
9.10 Cloverfield Lane
8.Civil War
7.Moana
6.Edge of Seventeen
5.Deadpool
4.Arrival
3.Deepwater Horizon
2.Kubo and the two strings
1.Hacksaw Ridge
I feel like the people who say this year sucked for movies are 12 year old who only saw big blockbusters and nothing else
I think it's because 2015 was just that great. Nice list by the way.
Tywin Lannister saw all of those. Maybe I'm biased (my name) but I think the superhero movies were the highlight of this year. All except BvS
ComicChaoS I suppose, because they have a broad audience and there were many of those as well.
