Hey Auroth, I watched this guide when you first released it, but just rewatched it and read all the comments to prepare to stack advanced traits and make my own guide with live demonstrations. I have the following comments and questions: 1) it seems the only potentially good (albeit costly and complicated) use for melding is to influence the passive skills on your companion. As you’ve responded to other comments, your attribute melding strategy doesn’t work for making a double legendary attribute familiar. Also, the conversion stones per familiar used can’t increase through melding. There’s a different trick using conversion which can efficiently gain you conversion stones. Omni flash and craine have both suggested melding to make a cheap “good enough” companion. However, you can buy or make a better one for cheap enough now that I don’t think this is worth wasting time and resources on anymore. So do you now think melding is worth bothering with at all, or do you think you might as well just roll the dice with conversion and/or sell what you don’t want and buy what you do? 2) the devs have changed it so that your best rarity and best skill quality are now saved when using conversion stones, even if those are different familiars. Correct? 3) have you found a way to increase the odds of getting 3 advanced traits? Anyway, with the caveat to ignore the attribute melding section, I think this remains a great reference guide!
1. Yes best strat is to invest 0 and just buy the ones u want. 2. I have not looked into this at all. Im gonna read up on it 🙏 3. Nope and im not gonna investigate it further myself (a black hole for your platinum) 😂 Sorry for the late reply buddy! 🔥
This is an excellent video and it was so nice of you to take the time out to explain to us how this works. I think the whole system is way too complicated for a game that is supposed to be fun. I've watched many many videos and I still don't really understand the process. I know I've lost several familiars because I have no idea what I'm doing so I'm just going to stop doing it. 😂
Unfortunately there are a lot of factors that are still RNG even if you do everything correctly and u may end up worse than you were 🤷 Thanks for watching my friend! 🙏
Hey brother. Can you help me out? Thank you for you in-depth guides, as always! Here's my situation with pets. I saved all the pets I farmed. And didn't touch them. 88 total. Then when prices started to drop, I bought a legendary ash sweeper with savior on it for pretty cheap. 80k I think. It has one other legendary skill. And the other 4 are magic. No rare skills. One legendary trait. My question is if there is any way to improve it without LOSING the savior skill? I don't think there is. But i want to double check. So here's the main thing I need to find out. I finally started converting my saved-up normal pets. And I managed to get lucky on 2 of the rolls. I got a abarrent rare Ash Sweeper with 6 rare skills. *And I'm wondering what would be the best/easiest way to improve that familiar?* Either something that I could potentially use. Or something that I could make even more valuable to sell if it doesn't improve my set up. If possible here, could you break down the steps. I watched the guide, but I'm very new to the familiar system. And I don't want to make any expensive mistakes. I'm f2p/battle pass. So I'm not going to dump more than 100k plat into beefing it up into something spicy. Like, I would think it would be most valuable if I were to turn it into a legendary cat with a few legendary skills. Or at least a rare with boosted stats. Right now the stats are 109, 75, 45, 112. Which isn't great. But the 6 rare skills are the big deal here. And I can't sell it for more that 90k until I improve it. Unless you tell me that isn't easy to do. Or not worth it for some reason. You're the man. Thank you for taking the time to read. And I really appreciate anything you can do to help me with a path forward. Long live Sweden!! 🇸🇪
Im gonna be honest now and tell u that the familiar system is really really bad. There is no viable and efficient way to craft the familiar you want the most. Best strategy is actually to sell everything and loook for the combos u want on the market. I wish you he best of luck buddy! Edit: Ash Sweeper with saviour is awesome. Try ro find one with high resilience to exchange attributes 🙏
Awesome explanations as always. It's also nice to see someone else mention pet skills messing up rotations. Very annoying to us PvE minmaxers. As a largely f2p player I've considered not running an active companion at all since it's mostly about the traits anyway, but I figure I'm over-reacting.
When I play necromancer I am better off unequipping it for some types of content. It might even b wise for all classes 😂 In gauntlet it is fine though because first interaction is with the boss himself/herself
The only situation I had to unequip the active pet is when farming the Tower Chests. You can do it with them, but the faster strategy requires you not to loot the shards you drop when porting to the central area, at first. With the pet, it'll screw it haha. But outside of that, 99% of content they're useful 'looters'. You can just finish a quest and start teleporting out while the pet finishes looting stuff mid cast, and it's a perk ALL of them bring out of the box. The next usefullness are the Utilitary Traits (portable Identify, Scrapping and Armory that you only need around 2.5m gold to unlock the first three Bonded pet slots, to put them in there at least).
@@Cerberos1188armory is sooo much more useful and convenient than I everrrr thought it would be. I was like, who wants that shit?… give me salvage… but it was the first Utility Trait I got. Just got the identify, so just need salvage now. Of course….
@@APinTheAKgotta get 'em all. Utility is valuable, even though it seems in the market the pet with one of them, their max value is ~64k. And the utility traits, it seems are the only ones that don't need the pet to be Rare (yellow) quality or higher to be 'active'.
Great guide. Cleared up a few things. I've been tinkering with Varogs and the Siphon skill doesn't seem to do anything despite having Ignite and the tooltip claiming to drain half of the non-status effect damage anyway. It's a bit strange, since Lingering Wounds procs with Ignition and Ice Touch on there. I tried Rejuvenate and it gives me green numbers over my head when the pet hits things, so that is sort-of working like the tooltip says but I don't see green numbers on allies, so I can't tell if it heals them or not. Plus, the heal amount from the Varog's skill was not so great. I will have to try the dragon and see how Siphon and Rejuvenate work on that one, but I really like the Varog's skill tracking enemies and debuffing their armour with Lingering Wounds. I will probably end up with a cat with a completely different set of skills at some point too, but for now, I am playing with the damage pets. Thanks especially for the conversion tips; I haven't done any of that yet and at the very least it might get me some platinum for further experiments.
Was waiting for the 1 hour auroth guide, here it is. Thanks so much for this video, but 100% agree with your conclusions, this system needs to be explained better by blizzard, it is hard for a would-be spender to even know WHAT to buy, or the optimal upgrade path. (Clearer now tho!)
Thanks again for this! Any idea of how to maximize chances of getting these 'hidden legendaries' (rarest with 170+ attributes)? No one ever sells them on our server, do you just buy bulk normals, convert and pray?
Honestly even after all this time this is the Best Familiar guide but system is so complicated & everytime I watch this vid I learn something new (Much appreciated, it has helped alot) I know u have explained it & I will watch over & over again, but because I took a 2 month break from game & came back after including the Familiars update I'm now trying to make decent Familiars especially the market being a buyers market, but the question I wanted to ask is now I have a Lego Familiar with saviour (192 Resilience but ferocity is 150+) how can I get ferocity to over 170, will I loose 192 Resilience stat & saviour if I try, apologies I know its ALL explained on this vid, (I will definitely 💯% watch this vid over, all the info will eventually sink in ✌️😎) just thought I'd ask u while learning 🙏 Many thanks for ur in depth original content, it helps the DI community improve & Tweak our builds & Gameplay
Hello buddy! Thanks for all your kind words. Unfortunately there is no efficient and useful way to make a 1 legendary attribute familiar into a 2 legendary attribute familiar :/
Hi Auroth congrtaz on Making Final in PvP event (Saw it thru a YT vid) Hope u guys win I just wanted to ask, if I have a legendary pet with legendary skill not so good, is it possible to transfer attributes with the normal with the legendary skills I like & it will turn legendary (Same type Dusk, lego dusk has some horrible random skill, and the yellow dusk has savior) if I transfer/exchange attributes at niza can I make my yellow savior cat pet legendary with the Legendary cat pet with useless the skill
I should add that for the six pve traits I got them on the broodtalon ( maim, bestial might, decimate ) and myrrjen ( finesse, survival instinct , steadfast ) but now I see I can't pick up the two pvp traits on a single pet so either I will continue to skip them or else I will have to find some combo of 3 pets... having said that, I have a slot taken by an identifier pet and that leaves just 1 free slot for a salvage pet, which I might get again since I sold the one I had for a big profit and sometimes they are available for not much. So I think my binds strategy for now will be the 6 pve traits across 2 pets and 2 utility traits on another 2 pets. And the companion itself doesn't need anything, so I can just swap it out without affecting traits.
When u make a conversion with normal familiars this is how it works 🙏 If for example the best familiar in a conversion instead has 5 yellow skills the new familiar will receive at least 4 yellow skills 😊
@@Auroth_DI Thank you for your reply. You’re awesome! So, hypothetically, if I converted an ordinary familiar with 6 rare passive skills, the resulting would have only 5? That makes it a little difficult to try and maximize ideal skills for an abberant familiar 🥱
great vid as usual. If i can make a couple recommendations it would be cool to see examples of you swapping and adding traits and skills to pets on screen. I know that's difficult because you've probably gained most your knowledge by doing that stuff off screen but I'm very much a visual learner like I think most people are. And the table that shows what pets can have what traits would have been cool saying what those traits do for easier referencing for us. Thanks again for the great vid tho
Yes i could have included labels in the traits table. I say what all traits do on the slide before that one but could have included some text for clarification :) It would be better with some more video for sure but my editing skills is very low and it is a bit too time consuming for me. Also I am out of platinum. 800k spent on pets and lots of mistakes made on the way :D
Great video as always! im sharing a lot of ur work to my clan. Ty and keep them coming:) I’m a wizard would like to hear the ultimate wizard guide sometime hehe
VERY Nice and in depth analysis! Thanks! One question - I have a rare Stingray that has the Savior ability which I recently obtained. It has two other legendary skills. Is there any way to ensure that the Savior skill is transferred in some method if I want to switch the stingray to another familiar?
There is no way to ensure any skill. You can increase the odds of acquiring certain skills when converting (check the conversion section of this video)
Hi There, Awesome video, but still not sure about advanced trait stacking. How does it work? I have 2 quakestriders both with advanced maim active, but still only have +1% crit chance instead of 3%
Hi Auroth, Thank you Brother for ALL UR CONTENT, it Always HELPS me ALOT, I have a noob question (sorry u have probably explained the method in a different context) but for example I have a pet with 183 Agility & when I try to sell in market it will only let me sell for 16000 for example but the problem is in my market I want to sell for at least 24k, is there a way I can raise the max price like melding or upgrading it without loosing the 183 Agility Many thanks in advance fir taking time to read this long & very old comment that I should have posted when vid was released Thanks once again for ur great content, very much appreciated 💯%
To be honest it is difficult to efficiently make a familiar stronger. To ensure it keeps 183 of the main stat you use concersion stones. Also make sure that the familiar with 183 is the one with the best skill quality out of the 3. 🙏
This is so complicated trying to figure out what to convert what to meld omg I'm going crazy trying to find out how to do stuff I think you did a good job explaining everything I just thinknima need trial and error to get it right the whole you need 12 pets and convert was so confusing omg I gained an idea of how it works totally not your fault its just too compicated
It is quite difficult to acquire a legendary familiar. Melding should not be used to create a legendary pet but it can be used to turn a one stat legendary familiar into a two stat legendary familar. If u want to get a one stat legendary familiar u should either get it from an aberrant conversion, exchanging attributes from a legendary stat rare normal familiar or buy it from the market.
The system is complicated but at least it is a bit less complicated than it seemed at first 😂 When they release content like this they should be the ones producing a detailed guide. Thanks for watching! 🙏🔥

@Auroth_DI these game companies should be paying you content creators out here doing their jobs for them! The affiliate program and such are nice but pay some creators with cash instead of in game rewards that are worth nothing in reality.
@@Auroth_DI Understood, Necro has been my class through all of the Diablo series, besides the Witch Doctor Diablo. You gave me an incredible boost in my summons build btw. I’m using a complete DOT build now that I love, not as strong a summons but melts everything but big bosses. Thanks for what you do!
re-looking and checking on the melding process to make double legend attribute varog pets on 27min. Varog has agility as primary attribute then insight as secondary attribute. Thus, any varog will ALWAYS have Agility higher then Insight. it does not make sense to make insight to 170 via melting. Please advise or correct me.
You are correct. After making this video I have reached the same conclusion. There will never be a familiar with a secondary attribute above 170 with the main attribute below 170. This makes parts of the melding instructions in this video not as useful 🙏 The only time it’s useful is if you have a familiar with 2 legendary attributes for example 170 and 175. Then you can by using the instructions here transfer the legendary secondary stat onto a familiar with a higher main attribute value (maybe you have a single legendary attribute on a legendary familiar around 195-200) I apologize for this confusion 🙏
Thank you very much! Great content. Question though, should I be leveling all familiars I collect to 30? And is there a chance to get something good from converting three junk familiars?
Terrific guide thank you so much - best I've seen so far!! I have two quick questions (well maybe not that quick) - I have an Ash Sweeper with 196 Resilience and 169 Ferocity: I will transfer these stats to a Rare Normal (yellow) Ash sweeper as per your guide .. what do I then need to find to Meld with to get the 169 to a 170? Also what is the reason for the difference in per rarities when melding? Second question, I want to also change Ash Sweeper to Dragon... for conversions, as long as your Legendary Aberrant pet has more Legendary and rare skills than the other two Aberrants, it will 100% stay Legendary is that right? Nothing else is taken into account that could trip me up is that right? I'm F2P that got lucky and I think I'd quit the game if they took this away from me :P
Either a normal rare with 170+ or a legendary of the attribute you need. If its a legendary you can exchange the stats to a rare normal ash sweeper (then u have 170+ to use for melding) For your other question the answer is yes 🙏 Since ur pet is allready 169 it will luckily only take one meld to get it to 170! Good luck! 😍
@oc1993 Usually, if the secondary attribute (50-180) reaches 170+, the main attribute (60-200) will also reach 180+. I have never seen a familiar with a secondary attribute that is legendary but the main attribute is not legendary. So I think @Auroth_DI mentioned is just a theory. I'm sure when you find a familiar that has sub-attribute 170, that one already has 2 legendary attributes and you don't have to do anything. So don't waste time collecting increasing attribute
When I meld I keep getting 2 of the same yellow passive skills, no way to change it, so pet ends up with 2 of the same skills. Should I try to meld again or just end pack? It's happened twice now. Thank you.
@@Auroth_DI Thanks for replying. Maybe i should have kept the other pet, can't remember if they both had 2 of the same. I'm thinking I should have checked the passive skills on the 2 before i melded them. Make sure they're not the same. That's probably how it happened. It's on a cat and they are valuable on my server, hate to just end pact. I'll just try to sell it cheap I guess.
Oh forgot to say you have the best pet video out of all I've seen. I recommend it to everyone asking for a good video. Thanks for taking the time to explaining it all in such detail.
This info is so informative! Question- if I bought a rare yellow with high stat and exchange it with low stat aberrant which I have converted. Is the new aberrant with higher stat still sellable at market?
It seems there is a 'catch-22', probably by design... each has 4 attributes, Primary, max 200, secondary max 180, rare max 150 and the the low magic I will call it... but if you have one with say 194, 169. I don't see a realistic way to upgrade the 169. As mentioned below, I have yet to see a familiar with above 170 Secondary and not above 170 Primary. in my case I have a Skitter with 175 Primary. A ghost with the above stats, 194, 169. I can only meld the 175 to another skitter... to get it to a Ghost say, I could transfer it to a aberrant, use 2 aberrant ghosts to convert... But then the stats would fall into the Ghost primary and it would have 175 agility... not Insight. so it would do me no good in this situation.. I can't get the 169 to 170 without having a double legendary familiar with both primary and secondary above 170... So I really do not see much point in this or a realistic way to achieve it.. :(
@@Auroth_DI They kind of tricked us, as I don't really see a viable way to increase a Primary over 160 and say a primary2 from 169->170. anyway, great vid, ty
I melded a yellow pet with active trait and yellow skill with blue familiar with no active trait but yellow skill and inherited that yellow skill , so no active trait and two yellow skills
Have question. Should i combine 2 aberants with main pet to get skills what i want? I tried so many times and still rare pet with 2 legendary skills what i dont want 😢
Very good and detailed article. I'm also very interested in how to get 4, 5, 6 legendary skills. My familiar has 3 legendary skills and 3 Magic skills, I've done nearly 20 conversions but the number of skills that cannot be changed is still 3 Legs, 3 Magic. I'm really frustrated because I don't understand how it works, if someone knows about this can you please share it with me. I have one more question I can't see (Potency Increases at X 170) can you tell me where it is shown?
To answer your first question it is extremely rare to gain a 4th skill. I believe it is only 0.2% chance if u are using a legendary main pet (0,1% with another rarity) To answer your other question when you are browsing your skill on a familiar there is a tiny symbol in the top right of that list. If you click on it you will see the base value if each skill + the increased pitency from a certain attribute (if it is high enough)
@@Auroth_DI Thank you for your answer! I also read the Legendary Skill ratio with Main Familiars - 0.12%: Magic, Rare - 0.204%: Legendary So when Main is Magic, getting 4 legendary skills is very lucky. However, after 20 times I converted, I did not receive any Rare Skills, it was still only (3 leg, 3 magic). Is it possible that the ratio can be affected not only by the Main Familiars but also other members?
I am not sure about this and it doesn’t say anything in the tooltips. This is also quite costly science :/ The only thing you can find in the tooltips is that the familiar with the highest skill quality will affect the outcome. It wouldn’t surprise me though if the tooltips are wrong or incomplete 🤷
@@Auroth_DIthis. The wording in some places is literally contradicting. They also had a class action against them due to the wording of the Blessing of the Worthy, and when they corrected it, it was way worse than what was thought. So people spent $100 to get a 12% if Overall Life in damage, not 12% of current life. Which is absolutely false advertisement. I say all that, to take the info in the (!) tool tip thingy with hesitancy, lol 😢.
Hi! Thanks for your tips! Isn’t it crazy that the Broodtalon already have a 12.5% lingering effect and on top of that you prefer it Leg-boosted- which is great, and if only those skills stacks! So far no success here with testing but if you do, share it with us :)
Broodtalon doesn’t have a 12.5% lingering skill on top of the normal one. Lingering wounds is a unique skill that can be acquired from levling up a broodtalon. This skill can also be acquired by any other specie through conversion
How legendary attributes change after conversion? I have insight 190 on broodtalon but i need agility to activate traits. Is some way to change insight to agility?
So if I have my bonded pets with rare or legendary attributes high enough to activate my passive traits for that pet, they should also trigger ? Ex: you're using a quakestrider as your primary, but developing a varog for a bonded pet with all ability/insight passive traits you'd want to use, and they will complement/aid you when running your quakestrider... is that right? Thanks for the vid man this is the best info out there, just wish I had it earlier on before burning up pets that probably could have been way more useful than they ended up! Lol
The forge bonds only trigger their active traits (their passive skills do not matter at all) I hope this answered your question 🙏 Also thanks for your kind words! 😃
This was a great video, lots of effort invested obviously. Thank you for it. I would like to ask a question, would be happy if you can answer. I am aiming for a Duskprowler with savior skill. So far the best one I have been able to make is a 6 rare skill one, with 164 resillience. I made it have the skills I want through melding. However it is not abbarent. Is there a way to make it abbarent without losing those 6 skills it has, I at least want to keep a few of them as they are, and hopefully turn one of those skills into Saviour. Appreciate if you can answer, and give me suggestion about what is the best to do with this pet next.
Im really sorry for thevlate reply. There are ways to increase the chances but tbh its not worth it. It is a lot cheaper to buy the familiars you want off the market 🙏
@@Auroth_DI thank you for your response. I think then I'm just gonna keep that pet for a while and once i get better ones , I'll end pact for the stones. Let me know please if you think there is something better that can be done with this.
This is a bad conversion. The result will be the same if u use 1 pet with 2 rare skills and 2 pets with only blue skills. If u would do this conversion you are wasting 4 conversion stones
I have accumulated about 30 pets, some with 1 or 2 rare skills and a couple of rares. What would be your strategy to sell them ? Sell them all as is, at like 4k and 8k, or convert them ?
Thank you! I put a lot of effort into this one. I was clueless at the beginning and the in game tooltips really can be very confusing at times to say the least 🤭
Ur videos, all of your DI content, has informed and helped me to understand the systems and mechanics of the game and I'm very grateful. Plz continue ur Good Work, as there is something of a death of quality DI content imo; byexcepting Habonis, whom I find is illuminating as well. Again tyvm.
Adding info about transferring servers - Seems like all the familiars that you are not in your bench will be LOST in the process. I tried and saw this warning, but i did not tried for real to be sure... Lets see what others can tell about.
Not seen you around for a while, anyway did some testing with converstion from 2 advanced traits and ended up with a pet with only one. Kinda sad about it, this does however seem very rare. Also have you noticed that lingering wounds no longer tirggers twice, at least not on the dumy. Used to trigger twice with both the dragon and the insect. A well, still a really good guide. Keep the videoes coming as always! PS: you usually get some pushback when you post on reddit, because people dont agree, well dont bother about them! your content is great!
Hey buddy! Thanks for your kind words! IRL has been very busy so have not been able to upload anything but hopefully I will be back again next weekend :) There is unfortunately some information in this familiar video that is not correct but most of it is still valid. Regarding reddit I believe that there will always be people who dont agree with any subject 🤭 Have a nice day/evening!
Ok. The familiar with the highest skill quality has never ended up with less advanced traits after a conversion for me. It might have been luck though 🙏
@@Auroth_DI I think he meant the number of traits, example a pet with 1 advance trait and 2 yellow traits could end up with 1 advance trait and 1 yellow trait. Losing 1 yellow trait in the process
What is difference between “exclusive passive skill” and just “passive skill” of a pet. The skitterwight has “ice touch” as exclusive passive skill but not under normal passive skills. Does that mean its attks will have a chance to freeze enemies too from the exclusive passive skill? If will trigger will it ice touch stack if we have it under exclusive passive skill and regular passive skills?
It means that when you lvl up your basic skitterwight u might get the skill ”ice touch”. This skill can later be transferred to any specie through either melding or conversion.
Thanks. I have a savior skill on an aberrant. I want to convert it to get more legendary skills, but not lose the savior skill. Do conversion stones keep the legendary skill on the new converted aberrant? How to not lose the savior skill with conversions?
If one of the familiars has savior it will be entirely random. If two of them has savior you have a 40% chance to keep it. If all three familiars has it you will have an 80% chance to keep it 🙏
Based off this video, I tried converting a Stormlost with legendary attributes with two DuskProwlers that both had lower attributes, traits, and skills and I got a DuskProwler that had no legendary attributes :( This cost me over 600K Platinum!
I have a pet that have a very high stat but lacks 1 point to be legendary, I want to know if there is a way to increase that stat with 1 point to make it my first legendary pet? Also is there a cap on how many pet contracts you can grind everyday killing elite monsters? Because normal gems have 12 right per day, how about pet contracts?
Yes but only by melding it a pet that has 170+ allready. This is not useful for what you want to achieve 🙏 Melding for attributes is more useful when you try to make a familiar with two legendary attributes. Instructions are found in the melding section of this video 🙏
@@Auroth_DI Im saying I need 1 point on one stat to get my first legendary pet. If I have a pet with 170 + stat then that would technically be a legendary right and no need for me to meld. I just need to transfer it to an aberrant pet. Also take note I am trying to get my first legendary pet. Yeah I watched your video bro and I know how meld works but unfortunately I haven't found the answer to my question.. i guess it is not possible and I just have to sell this one?
@@3102nzain what he's saying is you need a different pet with at least one higher attribute point to meld with your pet to add just one point, so you would be using one legendary pet as fodder just to make your pet legendary. You would be wasting a legendary. You should find another pet with legendary attributes and just use the swap attribute feature from the person to the left of the summoning table. if you're really wanting to keep that pet you have for whatever reason. Melding like you're talking about is more useful when making a familiar with two legendary attributes
The main use of pets with 169 as an attribute is to use it to create a legendary with two legendary stats (as described in the melding for attributes segment of this video) I tried to answer your question but to be more clear there is no useful and simple way to turn your 169 familiar into a legendary one. 🙏
What the HELL were these Blizz devs smoking when they came up with this crap??! I haven't touched this BS system cos it gives me head spins just thinking about it. Maybe I need to smoke some Special Grade Blizz Pot to have it make sense?? SMH.
Man your videos are very nice and informative but you should make them shorter. I’m not gonna share a one hour video to my clan mates about pets, would love to have a shorter version of it. Just my thinking.
There are a lot of shorter videos out there. I divide all my videos into segments (you can find them in the description.) My goal is to prepare in-depth breakdowns of different mechanics and in order to give the full picture the videos will be a bit longer. Some people want to have very detailed guides. For example some of my builds requires specific points in certain attributes and certain awakening effects in order to function properly. I understand that my videos will be too long for some players but my target audience is advanced players who enjoys diving deep into tiny details. On top of that I believe that it is also more useful to explain not only what people should do but also why they should do it. That way they will be able to adapt and develop any concepts further. Especially when I make a guide in my ”ultimate guide” series I want to cover as much as I can. I don’t want the video to give fractions of the whole picture because then the viewers would have to watch a bunch of 10 minute videos on the subject anyways 🙏 I really appreciate your feedback and thanks a lot for watching! 😃
Hey Auroth, I watched this guide when you first released it, but just rewatched it and read all the comments to prepare to stack advanced traits and make my own guide with live demonstrations.
I have the following comments and questions:
1) it seems the only potentially good (albeit costly and complicated) use for melding is to influence the passive skills on your companion.
Im gonna read up on it 🙏
3. Nope and im not gonna investigate it further myself (a black hole for your platinum) 😂
Sorry for the late reply buddy! 🔥
Best familiar video out. Great work.
Thank u so much 🙏
This is an excellent video and it was so nice of you to take the time out to explain to us how this works. I think the whole system is way too complicated for a game that is supposed to be fun. I've watched many many videos and I still don't really understand the process. I know I've lost several familiars because I have no idea what I'm doing so I'm just going to stop doing it. 😂
Unfortunately there are a lot of factors that are still RNG even if you do everything correctly and u may end up worse than you were 🤷
Thanks for watching my friend! 🙏
You're the best Auroth. All other DI content is so weak after watching you.
This put a smile on my face! 😍 Thanks for watching!
It might even b wise for all classes 😂
In gauntlet it is fine though because first interaction is with the boss himself/herself
I am satisifed with this video but hopefully we will discover more info about the advanced traits in the near future 🙏
Thanks again for this! Any idea of how to maximize chances of getting these 'hidden legendaries' (rarest with 170+ attributes)? No one ever sells them on our server, do you just buy bulk normals, convert and pray?
*typo: Rares with 170+ attributes
Hi this is great work!! Shared a lot of the info. One question - what is the specific benefit of an aberrant familiar over a normal familiar?
It can get legendary skills, advanced traits and become a legendary 🙏

Honestly even after all this time this is the Best Familiar guide but system is so complicated & everytime I watch this vid I learn something new (Much appreciated, it has helped alot)
I know u have explained it & I will watch over & over again, but because I took a 2 month break from game & came back after including the Familiars update I'm now trying to make decent Familiars especially the market being a buyers market, but the question I wanted to ask is now I have a Lego Familiar with saviour (192 Resilience but ferocity is 150+) how can I get ferocity to over 170, will I loose 192 Resilience stat & saviour if I try, apologies I know its ALL explained on this vid, (I will definitely 💯% watch this vid over, all the info will eventually sink in ✌️😎) just thought I'd ask u while learning 🙏

Hi Auroth congrtaz on Making Final in PvP event (Saw it thru a YT vid) Hope u guys win
I just wanted to ask, if I have a legendary pet with legendary skill not so good, is it possible to transfer attributes with the normal with the legendary skills I like & it will turn legendary (Same type Dusk, lego dusk has some horrible random skill, and the yellow dusk has savior) if I transfer/exchange attributes at niza can I make my yellow savior cat pet legendary with the Legendary cat pet with useless the skill
Hey buddy and thank u! Yes u can do that :D
13:13 One of the most useful tables for planning binds!
Awesome video, but I have a question. At 37:30, how do you calculate the new familiar’s skill quality? Why do you have to subtract one?
When u make a conversion with normal familiars this is how it works 🙏
If for example the best familiar in a conversion instead has 5 yellow skills the new familiar will receive at least 4 yellow skills 😊
I say what all traits do on the slide before that one but could have included some text for clarification :)
It would be better with some more video for sure but my editing skills is very low and it is a bit too time consuming for me. Also I am out of platinum. 800k spent on pets and lots of mistakes made on the way :D
@@Auroth_DI I am impressed you were willing to drop 800k platinum on this. I really appreciate you putting this all together, though. Truly.

I have 2 quakestriders both with advanced maim active, but still only have +1% crit chance instead of 3%
U cant stack advanced traits using familiars of the same specie 🙏
@auroth: have you managed to get a quick overview of all the stack-bonus for each level? so 0, 1 , 2 and 3 stacks for each trait?
Sorry for the late reply 🙏

@@Auroth_DI and pvp damage and I guess also reduction is 8%
Hi Auroth, Thank you Brother for ALL UR CONTENT, it Always HELPS me ALOT, I have a noob question (sorry u have probably explained the method in a different context) but for example I have a pet with 183 Agility & when I try to sell in market it will only let me sell for 16000 for example but the problem is in my market I want to sell for at least 24k, is there a way I can raise the max price like melding or upgrading it without loosing the 183 Agility
Many thanks in advance fir taking time to read this long & very old comment that I should have posted when vid was released
Thanks once again for ur great content, very much appreciated 💯%
To be honest it is difficult to efficiently make a familiar stronger. To ensure it keeps 183 of the main stat you use concersion stones. Also make sure that the familiar with 183 is the one with the best skill quality out of the 3. 🙏
Auroth, in order to meld your pet's second attrribute to 170 you need a double lego pet for the last step. Have you thought of that?
At the point of recording this video i didnt realize there are no single secondary stat legendaries/rares 🤷
This is way too complicated
The system is complicated but at least it is a bit less complicated than it seemed at first 😂
When they release content like this they should be the ones producing a detailed guide.

re-looking and checking on the melding process to make double legend attribute varog pets on 27min.
This makes parts of the melding instructions in this video not as useful 🙏
The only time it’s useful is if you have a familiar with 2 legendary attributes for example 170 and 175. Then you can by using the instructions here transfer the legendary secondary stat onto a familiar with a higher main attribute value (maybe you have a single legendary attribute on a legendary familiar around 195-200)
I apologize for this confusion 🙏
Thank you very much! Great content.
Question though, should I be leveling all familiars I collect to 30? And is there a chance to get something good from converting three junk familiars?
U can either get a utility trait (10% chance) or an aberrant (30% chance)
U can also get better skill quality at random
@@Auroth_DI thanks!
If its a legendary you can exchange the stats to a rare normal ash sweeper (then u have 170+ to use for melding)
For your other question the answer is yes 🙏
Since ur pet is allready 169 it will luckily only take one meld to get it to 170!
Good luck!
@@danthanhtrung this might be possible. I even thought about it earlier today 🤷
When I meld I keep getting 2 of the same yellow passive skills, no way to change it, so pet ends up with 2 of the same skills. Should I try to meld again or just end pack? It's happened twice now. Thank you.
Ive seen this happening and it shouldnt be possible. Probably sum bug 🤷
This is an amazing video! Super helpful!!
Weird question, can I ask were you are from? I cannot place your accent haha
Thank you! I am swedish :D
@Auroth_DI ohh!! I thought of Scandinavia! But yeah, just glad I found another channel I enjoy!! Thanks for answering!
This info is so informative! Question- if I bought a rare yellow with high stat and exchange it with low stat aberrant which I have converted. Is the new aberrant with higher stat still sellable at market?
I did test this and I believe you have to convert it once. I might remember it wrong though 🙏
Yes that segment is not valid. (Realized it after making the video) I apologize for the confusion 🙏
Ye the traits seems to be more random than I thought earlier 🤷
Have question.
Should i combine 2 aberants with main pet to get skills what i want?
I tried so many times and still rare pet with 2 legendary skills what i dont want 😢
I explain in this video how to increase your chances for certain skills 🙏
Very good and detailed article.
I'm also very interested in how to get 4, 5, 6 legendary skills.
My familiar has 3 legendary skills and 3 Magic skills, I've done nearly 20 conversions but the number of skills that cannot be changed is still 3 Legs, 3 Magic.
I'm really frustrated because I don't understand how it works, if someone knows about this can you please share it with me.
I have one more question I can't see (Potency Increases at X 170) can you tell me where it is shown?
To answer your first question it is extremely rare to gain a 4th skill. I believe it is only 0.2% chance if u are using a legendary main pet (0,1% with another rarity)
To answer your other question when you are browsing your skill on a familiar there is a tiny symbol in the top right of that list. If you click on it you will see the base value if each skill + the increased pitency from a certain attribute (if it is high enough)
@@Auroth_DI Thank you for your answer!
I also read the Legendary Skill ratio with Main Familiars
- 0.12%: Magic, Rare
- 0.204%: Legendary
So when Main is Magic, getting 4 legendary skills is very lucky.
However, after 20 times I converted, I did not receive any Rare Skills, it was still only (3 leg, 3 magic).
Is it possible that the ratio can be affected not only by the Main Familiars but also other members?
I am not sure about this and it doesn’t say anything in the tooltips. This is also quite costly science :/
The only thing you can find in the tooltips is that the familiar with the highest skill quality will affect the outcome.
Unfortunately not 😐
So if I have my bonded pets with rare or legendary attributes high enough to activate my passive traits for that pet, they should also trigger ? Ex: you're using a quakestrider as your primary, but developing a varog for a bonded pet with all ability/insight passive traits you'd want to use, and they will complement/aid you when running your quakestrider... is that right?
Thanks for the vid man this is the best info out there, just wish I had it earlier on before burning up pets that probably could have been way more useful than they ended up! Lol
The forge bonds only trigger their active traits (their passive skills do not matter at all)
I hope this answered your question 🙏
Also thanks for your kind words! 😃

There are ways to increase the chances but tbh its not worth it.

@@Auroth_DI thank you for your response. I think then I'm just gonna keep that pet for a while and once i get better ones , I'll end pact for the stones. Let me know please if you think there is something better that can be done with this.
where can I find a "hidden legendary" pet?
On the market or through familiar contracts
Why don’t you use exchange attributes feature from Nisza instead finding 12 varog and meld 1 by 1 etc to raise its attributes?
This u do if u are extremely lucky and find a rare with two legendary attributes from the get go 😍
This is a bad conversion. The result will be the same if u use 1 pet with 2 rare skills and 2 pets with only blue skills.
If u would do this conversion you are wasting 4 conversion stones
The 3 pets are blue and all pets have two rare skill each, mabey still the same?
Still the same :)
I have accumulated about 30 pets, some with 1 or 2 rare skills and a couple of rares. What would be your strategy to sell them ? Sell them all as is, at like 4k and 8k, or convert them ?

@@Auroth_DI I think he meant the number of traits, example a pet with 1 advance trait and 2 yellow traits could end up with 1 advance trait and 1 yellow trait. Losing 1 yellow trait in the process
Aha ok. Luckily the main importance is to retain the number of advanced traits 😃
This skill can later be transferred to any specie through either melding or conversion.
thanks for sharing, wathing now while farming
I hope you like it :D
are you sure? i have never seen a pet that is legendary on its second (180 cap) attribute than its first (200 cap) attribute
This is something I also realized after making this video 🙏 Im sorry for the confusion
a very nice video, my compliments
Did u use conversion stones? This should not happen if u do it correctly :/ i feel sry for u buddy!
@@Auroth_DI Yes, I contacted Blizzard and they apologized and told me the couldn't do anything to help me but that they would try and fix the issue.
This is not useful for what you want to achieve 🙏
Melding for attributes is more useful when you try to make a familiar with two legendary attributes.
The main use of pets with 169 as an attribute is to use it to create a legendary with two legendary stats (as described in the melding for attributes segment of this video)
I tried to answer your question but to be more clear there is no useful and simple way to turn your 169 familiar into a legendary one. 🙏
@@Auroth_DI Thank you
How does the pet evolve? I mean i see broodtalons flying in westmarch while mine is walking like a duck lol
You need an attribute of at least 120 for first stage and 170 for final stage
the ultimate familiar guide for f2p players are:
buy 3x tix weekly
summon 3x
lvl up 3 familiars
go to market and sell 3
This also works but I think the normal traits are def worth it for any1 😃
Nice job there.
Thank you!
Nice video
Thank you buddy! 😍

This video shows you don't need Lego pet to have savior skill.
No u dont but u need resilience legendary to buff the potency of the skill
Finally ❤
What the HELL were these Blizz devs smoking when they came up with this crap??! I haven't touched this BS system cos it gives me head spins just thinking about it. Maybe I need to smoke some Special Grade Blizz Pot to have it make sense?? SMH.
was here 😉
Man your videos are very nice and informative but you should make them shorter. I’m not gonna share a one hour video to my clan mates about pets, would love to have a shorter version of it. Just my thinking.
There are a lot of shorter videos out there. I divide all my videos into segments (you can find them in the description.)
My goal is to prepare in-depth breakdowns of different mechanics and in order to give the full picture the videos will be a bit longer.
I don’t want the video to give fractions of the whole picture because then the viewers would have to watch a bunch of 10 minute videos on the subject anyways 🙏
I really appreciate your feedback and thanks a lot for watching! 😃
Can yu put a video on mild only.. Plz do the mild on lagender pets with common and normal pets... appreciate the hard work on the first video🫡🫡🫡
Hey, Thanks for your comment. Im not sure I understand what you mean :) Have a great day!
Bro look like Luka that don’t eat all the snacks. 🫢
What is that? 🤭
FINALLY!!!! i ve been wating for this for soooo LONG! 🐛😻🙉🐐🦡👻
It took a bit longer than expected due to work IRL and a lot of trial and error in game 🤭
THANK YOU for this Man! I appreciate you (Y) @@Auroth_DI
