It's not the first time God almost destroyed His creation for their wickedness. Then Noah found grace in the eyes of God. Oh my goodness me, but don't we think were somebody ? Watch your step !!! LOL Thank you for all your wonderful posts Pastor Guzik, Happy new year to you and your family.

This is a staggering section of text. That the people could still see the fire upon Mount Sinai and despite this continue to fashion a false golden calf idol is simply baffling. Only a few verses before they were literally trembling in fear of the Lord at the same spot. This is hard to comprehend.

Thank you pastor. I've been reading exodus this month and when I read these things it's hard to not let my heart be hardened like Pharoah but it's teachings like these that remind me of God's greatness and mercy.

My heart breaks for God every time I read this chapter. And I get mad at frustrated at Israel. But then I realize all the times we as Christians have done just as bad. Maybe not make an idol to bow to and worship, but we do often get impatient waiting on God and try to go about it our own way. We put things above God at times. Spending more time on things than we do with God. Phones and social media being some examples that I myself have been guilty of.
And I’m amazed at all the times the Lord had every right to be done with me and still He didn’t turn His back on me. We are no better than Israel. We too are stiff necked. This chapter should cause every Christian to self reflect.

Verse 32:10, the last part broke me ... all I could say was, Oh God, I'm so sorry 😞 😢. To see the good Lord having to keep making concessions for us.
