No he cannot, but he can raise his game to “good enough”.
If the Oilers play the way they did against Vancouver game 6 and 7 rest of the way, they will win this series and possibly the cup.
They need to play perfect team defence, win puck battles, hit, block, sticks in lanes and tilt the ice the other way so Skinner doesn’t have to deal with much.

Edmonton is, by the numbers, really good...much better than anyone gives them credit for, but you can't count Dallas out. When a team plays well, they make the other team look like they're playing badly, so I expect both teams in most game this series will struggle, and force each other to struggle.

To elevate his game he would either require more agility,, flexibility, size or he will require luck. Out of those options only one is achievable in a span of 2 weeks

He’s no Carey Price. Oilers players know this and should play better in front or him. That means the goal scorers have to score more goals and the dmen defend better. Simple

For this media guy to be following the Oilers and his first comments are about how the oilers need more scoring from people other than mcdavid and draisaitil?? Come on. Didnt he watch last series??
The last game mcdavid and draisaitl didnt get 1 point and oilers won. Mcdavid didnt have a point 3 of the 7 games. Mcdavid had 1 goal in 7 games and the oilers won the series. Nobody would have thought that would hapoen and the oilers still win. The oilers defense had a pretty strong goal support in many games especially in the games they won.
Like, we get dallas has more goal scorers then the oilers.
I think oilers defense is better then people think. They are bigger and deeper then dallas.
The 6 oilers defenseman all played at least 78 games of the 82 together this year. They have great chemistry. We dont even know whose the 6th defenseman for dallas is.
    All 6 of the oilers defenseman are 6 foot plus. 6-7, 6-5, 6-4, 6-2,6-2 , 6-1.
    Oilers need to block shots.
Dallas better get better on the power play. I think the oilers will have more room on the ice then they did against the canucks. Canucks wrlere bigger defensively. Dallas forwards are tougher then canucks for the most part though. I expect to hate Benn by the middle of the series. Hooefully the refs get on his cheap shots early and often.
This series has soke serious long time veterans who havent won a cup. Something like 11 players with 700+ games played all with no cups. This could be the last chance for suter, pavelski, seguin, benn, kane, henrique and nuge. They are all getting up there.

If you take away Draisaitl and McDavid, the Oilers still had the top 2 players in points through 2 rounds (Tkachuk is now tied with RNH for 4th overall)

"Can Skinner elevate his game?" The answer to this question -as I've said all year- is that Skinner plays to the level of the defense in front of him. You will not see him having a strong game in front of a weak defensive effort.

Stu seems like a great person but great people don't win games, great players do. Unfortunately for Oilers lovers, he's a Jr B goalie compared to Ottinger. Ottinger's worst game is about Skinner's best game so at the end of the day the Stars will neutralize Micdavid and plenty of shots on net will pretty much be about a 5 games series. Stars easily advance to SCF.
