The thing is, Spencer Lee is just always exciting to watch.
Yeah that second period was the best wrestling I have ever seen! He’s not going to amount to much in freestyle because he can’t stall riding him foot 3 minutes

@@dukester628pencer hardly stalls in folkstyle. He is always looking for turns/take downs, hence why he has a lot of techs/pins under his belt in the first 2 periods (assuming you’re talking about Spencer.)

I like Spencer a lot. I enjoy his style. It may be he is not at peak cardio, or maybe his knees are still bothering him. I hope he returns in full health. I thnk he has a Gold medal in him for sure.
That’s the only way he can get the redemption arc. Has to win an Olympic Gold

At NCAAs his 1st 3 matches were pin tech & MD an people still said he doesn’t look like himself lol! Everybody so critical of someone they couldn’t emulate

Lee got gassed in his first full match. Suriano will give him problems if he is not in shape to go the full 6min again.
Damn Lee's knee is all bruised up by the looks of it.. sheesh, not looking like he's in the best of physical condition at all, hope it doesn't give him too rough of a time although it's looking like it might be. Rooting for him all the way here regardless though. GO LEE.
Just remember Kurt angle won gold with a broken back…

Could of been one of the best wrestlers of our time... Yes he was remarkable at times,,,,, but look at the competition.... When it got tough where was he? Lately he has bowed out? When you are dominating your way thru a bracket and all of a sudden bail out then where is the heart? he Could of been one of the greatest... but hell he looks more like the biggest bust? And that is sad for a 3 time NCAA champ but his expectations was world titles.....

I’m not dissing the guy, he’s very talented don’t get me wrong but come on he needs to grow up from what I’ve seen of him these past couple months. U can’t cut from a huge ncaa tourney or even from suriano in us open. I’m a collegial wrestler myself, not d1 or as good as him but from what I’ve been taught, finish it if you started.

Spencer is always Electric to watch, but that knee looks bruised to all hell. The man needs to take up swimming to help take some strain off those broken knees, so he can get to 100%.

I'm glad that for wrestling, that Spencer is back to free style, because after his loss to Matt Ramos, and then his knee problem, like he said, he's trying to get back to being healthy, and take care of him self, but if I were to meet Spencer lee, or Cay den Henschel, I would ask them to give me advice for the sport

I like Lee a lot but we have a little civil war between New Jersey and pa at this point the two best wrestling states in the country you ask me and I'm going with my boy Nicky.. however I still got a lot of love and respect for the Hawkeyes and Spencer Lee I'm tore between them two I don't want to see either of them loss they're both great for the sport man the best man win how about that

I really think Spencer Lee should take one to two years off. It's great to see him, but he really needs to give his leg time to heal. We need Spencer Lee to be Healthy especially for the world and Olympic games.

You obviously weren’t a good wrestler… well actually you were probably a “good” wrestler but the great ones know when to go hard or take it a little easier when they need to save themselves. If he could basically score at will on this kid why would you think he’s going “to be a world beater” when he just has to be a town beater 🤦🏻♂️

I love Suriano style and yes Spencer is dealing with the knee issues but hopefully it’s a good match so we all win. I guess you are one of those fan boys who lives through other people and acts like you won when really you are just sitting in your mom’s basement cheering for a dude who is actually accomplishing something in life.

I said it two weeks ago that Spencer shouldn't wrestle in the open. He is NOT ready physically. His career is at stake. He needs to take a year or whatever maximum he can to get ready for the Olympics.

Bad technique rewarded on challenge. Match shouldof been over at that pt. Red makes a half hearted throw attempt while getting scored on with no continuation to a defendable position (aka belly... understandably so since Blue not only initiated the scoring action, but also countered the throw attempt) & is rewarded with a slip throw from the challenge. ??? Clarified call after challenge, B-2 Red cautioned for fleeing the hold & B-2 for counter action. Final, 13-0 tech.

I really hate that thing they do where they "spin" while crossing their opponents legs--spin with me or your leg will snap--nice. Seems DESIGNED to cause injury; yeah I know, they can all do it, so we get a bunch of class athletes who can't walk right. Just my opinion.

I remember coach n Olympian Ken Cher Tow, and how excited I was when I beat one of his boys add as a young kid at nationals. I watched all of his videos. I saw him maybe eight years later at the Penn State Thanksgiving tournament and he was in very rough shape. Hard to watch him struggle to walk bad news bad back... And probably more. Wrestling is unforgiving, mind and body. And you still have a long life to live. Nobody questions his dedication skill and heart... I do question those knees and his pride. I hope he gets healthy and take some time off
