basically the first word that jackson misread and said, "sa-mang," means death and that is definitely not something you should sing in a military song lol he was supposed to say "sa-myong," lol so that's why he was scolded at. And later on he wanted to represent JYP so when he sang the second time, the instructor was like why did you sing with so much soul, and Jackson apologized (but the word he uses for sorry isnt correct either lmao) and Jackson explained that he put a lot of air into his voice lol.

And if you're sick of reading these kind of comments where people don't understand korean yet still comment about it, you shouldn't comment in English because you apparently don't understand grammar. :')
Dead I'm cracking up LOL. It's Jackson's turn to sing and he sings but instead of "Our mission", he sings "Our death", meaning after their win everyone will die (the comedian twins were explaining it and laughing), and other soldiers are holding in their laughter, half of them a little surprised at what he sang LOL. The general told him to sing it again and when he did, he added in some "soul" and the general was like "Why did you add soul into an army song?" And Jackson's like, "I added some air into it" (referring to JYP's half sound half air) HAHAHAHA. At the end, the general was like "Singing in the army is not about singing it well, does everyone understand?" and Jackson sang it again properly and in the interview he said "I learned that singing it with passion is more important in the army". I'm dying. xD

In America I believe its a sign of respect but it's different in Korea. If you watch Happy Together with Eric Nam they talk about how in Korea people stare at the person's nose instead of their eyes, but it's different in America and maybe other countries as well. Idk how it is in China though :/
Its not normal in the military. In normal situation or when you are not a soldier then it is fine but you don't do that in the military.

There have 2. If you face someone who people respected a lot and their always have a dark aura (Sergeant, Boss) you shouldn't looking their eyes. Because it's like what you said. But outside there yes, if you looking someone face when talking, it's show respect. It's depends with someone who you communicate.
