like and sub
The Kumpo is dressed with palm leaves and wears a stick on the head. At the start of the dance, a young lady binds a colored flag on the stick. He dances for hours with the stick and the flag on his head. He speaks a private secret language and communicates through an interpreter.
After spinning like that he stands up straight and walks without stumbling. Now that is supernatural 😁

very true
Whites are dancers too. Lol .. we’re ballerinas, we do square dance, pow wow (natives), and tap dancing … it’s not just Africans, Geeze.
It must be fun to use dancing as a way of celebrating and rituals
Bible says *BE NOT MANY MASTERS.* You figure it out . . . or not. hahahahaha Yeah man. It's like ROCK, SCISSORS or PAPER. What's more important (1) the physical performance or (2) a theoretical explanation of it in words ????????? ANSWER . . . neither. MONEY is most important. Bible says *MONEY ANSWERS ALL THINGS.*
Never heard of this dance. Super interesting and amazing to watch. Would be amazing if dancers from all over Africa go on tour and show the world their awesomeness. Especially this and the Zaouli dance. I would pay good money to see this in person. And I bet many others would as well, especially here in the USA.
Yes but did you know that, that’s not a person it’s actually a spirit?
@@jzlovekin It is!!!
No , did you know that you can actually travel down and see them in person. Tours to Western countries are outdated.

Parabéns a cultura Afro,
Aqui no Brasil cultuamos nossos ancestrais também, isso precisa ser preservado porque trata-se de um patrimônio cultural...
Hello, Africans don't worship our ancestors, that's a misconception. Today 90% of Africans are either Christian or Muslim. But we still practice our traditional ceremonies as part of our cultural heritage, not to 'worship ancestors' as many Westerners wrongly believe.
Traditionally we worship God and deities/gods and believed in spirituality meaning everything in everyday life is influenced by spirits, so constant communication with them is important. Some spirits are of departed ancestors. It was also important to remember the legacy of the dead, as we wouldn't exist without them. Ancestors symbolised a solid foundation, without which, the community would sink into the abyss. It's no different from Europeans commemorating WW1 or WW2 veterans and their sacrifices every year. Else they'll be back to warring with each other again.
Isn't Brasil Native land? Exactly who are your ancestors plus who's culture do you actually use?
@@user-vw6bk4pb4l you and who are Christians and Muslims? Proud slave 🤣🤣🤣

That's crazy and fascinating how they can spin like that, and to do it for hours ! Like dust Devils ! Very mesmerizing. Would love to see how they do it without the grassy cover !

What kind of grass is that? I would like to see that performed without the grass. And to see how the costume is made.
This is simply awesome. I can't imagine constructing this in Unreal engine 5. The key animation for it would be very complex. The spinning dance of the fibers and the axle makes the whole thing a spectacle.
Fluid flow movement is way hard to recreate in computer graphics. This seems like a true challenge.
Are you up for the challenge because that would really be cool!
The fact is the one in the mask is not also empty headed...they're amazingly not that real as a normal guy. Fact tho.
In Texas 🇨🇱 we call that a tumbleweed but this looks nicer.

Absolutely unbelievable....I just can't figure it out. Just watching it induces my vertigo....and dust allergy! 😯

If there's a person within those garments it does reveal talent & skill, which deserves praise. But if there's no one underneath then it is supernatural, which would imply that this is being performed by a spirit(aka) a devil.
So the holy spiritual is a devil, too? Makes sense ig
@@traceurs619 No, he's referring to a fallen angel as a spirit. There's more evidence to, if it were a spirit, believe that it's a fallen angel than the Holy Spirit of God.

There's clearly a difference! There are spirits & then there's * THE HOLY SPIRIT!

Em 2:30 minutos de vídeo o bicho começa a rodar e cai no chão nessa hora dá pra ver claramente o pé de uma pessoa !! Mesmo assim é impressionante uma pessoa vestida com essa fantasia rodar desse jeito
It's a dust /devil spirit that enters the person this is actually very evil, and devilish practice that has been going on for hundreds of years and it's part of their culture, God is real and so is the devil. The only one who should abide in man is the Holy Spirit .Do not be deceived this stuff is evil
It's a person. Do a research. Do not speak on something if you don't know about it.
So remarkable. Thank you❤ for sharing your culture. ❤

Why does this make me so happy?
I have never liked dancing. I have the rhythm of broken engine.....but I so much love this dancing and would ask to let us see more please....your friend in California
It's beautiful and natural and OLD
With everything being monetized it's surprising to see pure art of this greatness still in the raw. I'm more shocked that the western entertainment industry hasn't picked this stuff up and commercialized it as a Cirque du Soleil type act. It's like imagining blues music still being played by only a harmonica and an acoustic guitar in some Mississippi juke joint before the white man came along and said 'Hey fellas do you mind if I record this'
This looks like a awesome way to sweep the floor
