These last couple Petite Pros are really nice little accent palettes imo. If I had one criticism of Viseart it's that if you buy multiple of their smaller palettes you will end up with lots of browns/neutrals. It's nice to have each palette be a complete palette unto itself but if you depot them or mix/match them you do end up with shadows that are close enough to be repeats. This has stopped me from purchasing more since I don't need more brown or want to buy a mini palette that is mostly neutrals to get the shades of green in Petite Pro 3(?) But the Soleil & ChouChou definitely are just lovely little color gems for the Spring/Summer. I hope they will release something similar in a Spring green/lavender/peachy/watermelon red color combo in soft & brights as an accent palette.

Hey Alicia! Hope you are doing well! Thanks for this awesome review. I never purchase anything without checking out your reviews first. I am torn whether or not to pick this up. I have a fair amount of palettes from the brand that I love and my big question right now is whether to pick up Grande Pro 1 (which has some hits and misses across multiple reviewers), or to stick with just rounding out my collection of the 12 pans (I am missing Milieu, Paris Nudes, Sultry Muse, Bridal Satin) and these smaller ones. I love all of their palettes so hard to choose. This seems like it may be a bit tough to wear to work on its own but perhaps easier if mixed with Paris Edit, Rose Edit, or even Natasha Denona Retro? Would love to hear your thoughts please if you have the time!
Hi hi!!! Ok, let’s see: Grande Pro I feel is helpful if you don’t have any of the 12 pro pan palettes. While I understand that all the shades are not the same, a consumer doesn’t need the pro palette. Maybe if you’re pro, and you need a more compact presentation of different shades then I would say yes to the GPI. Chou Chou is beautiful, but as you observed probably best paired with a more subdued color story.

I felt that while GP1 has so many beautiful shades across the gradient and values as you described, its a bit too much to pay for a possible miss on the formula esp when I am going to pick up other 12 pans and the Canadian cost would mean I can get two different types of 12's for the one GP1. Considering it from the perspective of a pro palette is very helpful so thank you! I purchased GP3 based off your review because it offered something different from Editorial Brights and I really love it so thank you as well! Your looks with Chou Chou are beautiful, including the silver eye, but I really appreciate what you mean because I would be hesitant to wear this alone myself. If I pick up Chou Chou, I will definitely use your Beautylish link :)
