Billie har aldrig gått i traditionell skola utan blev "Homeschooled" av sin mamma och har i och med det fått en större frihet i vad hon väljer att studera och har kunnat fokusera mycket på musiken.
Tillsammans med hennes bror Finneas O'Connell skriver hon och producerar låtar som de spelar in i hans hemmastudio.
