I lived in Oman for five years in the eighties working for Shell/PDO. It's good to see the military of the UK and Oman still get along just as well as they did then.

Nice, I remember having Omani troops visit us back in 83.
A Canadian tank crewman once told me that European tank crews could not do full division level live fire training exercises in Europe because of space restrictions so they had to train in foreign countries with big military land masses (like Canada). Don't know if that's true but it kinda made sense. Maybe a military vet can confirm.
