Watching the intro reminded me of those golden days when I used to play this game with my friends all day. I played this game for 2 years. I had Odin and Odin was my favourite gun. They nerfed it and introduced 2 gun loadout. This was the point when player base reduced to almost 50%. I also left during that time.

Ironically, I just returned to the game after 2-3 years away. I left because it got too pay or grind to win, and every time I checked back it was still the same but had even got more complicated and then changed so much as gods of boom. Then they made huge steps to return to classic gob and added several things to reduce the pay and grind to win nature. Then the latest update fixed the ridiculous shotgun-knife glitch that players had been abusing forever, and nerfed shotguns and buffed machine guns so that the game is finally balanced with all four gun classes. In my opinion, this game is the best it’s ever been. But this is someone who left near its height and came back as it was finalizing changes to get back to that place. Sad others are leaving, but I have never, ever been happier with the game as it is now.
I still haven’t heard any strong evidence for why it has gone downhill. Pay to win is less, grinding is less, it’s easier to get blueprints for what you want. The battle pass is cheap and you can earn your gold back. Supply drones help, gun classes are all balanced now, so it’s not just sniping and rushing, etc. Anyone who thinks guns of boom was all about rushing with shotgun knife spamming needs to remember what the game was actually like back in the day.
@@Bagofsoup that's great man happy for you but the main reason is like solo mode and stuff we can't match easily, same opponents, player base has significantly reduced, they added bots to face when we can't match with real people. Those are the main issues and yea I'm happy that they did that change to the shotguns but I feel like they did it too much like it wasn't like that before I mean that they increased preparation time a little bit more than required....but yea I left the game because of the above mentioned 💔
@@BANKAIGOB Understood. Most of the players that I know who are upset were taking issue with the shotgun knife glitch being fixed. They got so used to it that they felt like it was part of the game and that this style of combat set the game apart from others. In reality, it was just shotgun knife button alternating and smashing, and it made the game only about sniping and rushing. Your issues above are fair ground. I feel like they may have lost ground to other newer shooters by not advertising like they used to. Gob has improved their graphics and reduced pay to win and grind issues so it would be nice for them to advertise again and help build up the player base, both with new and returning players like me. That could fix a lot of things. Shotguns seem back to classic style again, but apparently the bear trap needs its prep time reduced back. They went too far with it compared to others. But the rest of the shotguns now fall back into their place so that ARs and MGs now stand a better chance like the old days. Glad for that at least.

Honestly for you guys no matter what kind of update you can still dominate and win the game if you want to so I think master the skills are more important than shietty updates soon or later they will fire current programmers and hire new member.
