I’ve got a Rel T9x with a pair of Buchardt S300MKII’s. Got the Buchardts right when they started coming on the scene.. Beautiful set up you have!
Thank you. It took my rel several months to really break in. I’m always tweaking things. Cutting boards with iso acoustics under them. I’ve got a new tweak I’ll post soon. Super Tweeter.
A much fuller, better sound with the REL, no question about it.
Even in the intro, with the mild accompaniment and vocals, let alone when the bass and drums kick in
Now my Rel has over 400 hours on it and sounds great. Blends really well. Fun hobby. Thanks for taking the time to watch this old aviator!
Yea I have no idea about active speakers. But the rel sounds great and I’m sure it will compliment your speakers. My rep is still breaking in. Crazy hobby. Always looking for more!
Hi there, just a quick question. How loud are you playing the Rel when you can hear 15hz from the subwoofer. And how effective is the 15hz at that volume level and can the 15 hz be heard at lower volumes. Many thanks.
I played test tones at 40,30,25,20,15 ,10,5 hz.
The rel had good output down to 15. I could hear 10 and 5 but it was faint. I’m still breaking it in so I didn’t crank the volume up but 15 is loud enough to add to the music. Not sure anything plays that low.
I’m just playing test tones. I’m not sure any music exists down at that range.
Hi, What components/setup do you have in your system? I have the same speakers and are always curious of how different components sound. thx
Ok it’s a long list but I’ll hit the highlights
Vincent audio sv-237 mk2 integrated amp
Buchardt s400 mk2
Bluesound gen 3 node w/Teddy pardo power supply
Denifrips Pontus 2 12th dac
5 GIK diffuser/bass trap acoustic panels
Audioquest niagra 1200 power conditioner
Cardas clear reflection interconnects and speaker wire
IsoAcoustics pucks under speakers
Curious usb cable yellow one original
Jessee audio 1955 Telefunken 12ax7
Single REL T9X sub
The GIK panels made the biggest improvement in sound quality
@@stevethetoolman2435 Smooth sounding? Mine is Musical Fidelity M6i, Node 3 and Emotiva Pro Stealth dac(older), it sounds good, but not a great/perfect match.
@@kirkaparty4143I’m still breaking it in. Some really bass heavy music it’s a little boomie. I’m at 10 click cross over and 14 gain/volume. But pretty smooth otherwise. Should be really good after a week of playing at medium volume.
Praise the Lord!, a hifi system playing REAL music!
Did you use the neutrik connection or a sub out?
@@stevethetoolman2435 wow. I know Rel encourage linking their subs direct to the speaker line but I use active speakers .
Humans can't hear 15 HZ.
According to Wikipedia humans can hear as low as 12hz and as high as 28kh. My high is around 15kh. As a pilot I was tested on hearing every so often.
@@stevethetoolman2435 Even 18khz is superhuman territory. 12hz you cant hear, but you feel it in your body.
More like your subs cant produce it
Nice setup. Which amp is it ?
Hey thanks! Vincent audio 237 mk II. You can get it on sale for 2500. I have a 1940s telefunken 12ax7 and 2 Russian rocket 6N1Ps. Tube preamp and solid state back end at 150 wpc.
