- The film chronicles the adventures of an American, "Mr. West," and his faithful bodyguard and servant Jeddie, as they visit the land of the horrible, evil Bolsheviks. Through various mishaps, Mr. West discovers that the Soviets are actually quite remarkable people, and, by the end of the film, his opinion of them has changed to one of glowing admiration!

Thank you for these fantastic flicks. They are so intense - the editing, shadows and angles. They are a treat! I love watching these Russian silents.
The outerwear is always outrageous in old Russia. Coats of karakal lamb, THE most outrageous full length furs, men wear. They easily weigh in, but gorgeous! There wz no down then. How else do you keep warm, mind you a thin pelt of mink will keep you warm. A full length beaver - to die for.

Поздней без любви, уважения к деве
одежды срывались с невинной рабы
в коньячном стремлении к девичьей плеве,
на спальном одре, где мечты неравны.
Позорное действо свершилось минутой,
даруя супруге желанный конец.
Вмиг пьяная туша, как будто в закуте,
храпеть начала, сотрясая дворец.
Былая невеста слабела телесно,
но крепла огнём ненавистным, живым
к наезднику, что назывался небесным,
всесильным самцом и героем святым.
Уснувший "мустанг" походил на свинину,
познавшую ангельский нижний венец,
рабыню безмолвную, чудо, святыню
среди раскуроченных, дряблых колец.
Во мраке беззвучным страданьем запела
от дум, отвращенья, позора за зря.
В слезах, застилавших глаза, всё смотрела,
отринув обнявшую руку царя...

You know that the Soviet movies are property of the peoples of the Soviet Union. They are NOT PUBLIC DOMAIN!
In order to publish you need to get permission of the respective authorities.
Winston Vanderbuilt II there is no Soviet union, thus no peoples of the soviet union, this no copyright holders. Also I dont think a communist state or people would object to their art being widely available...
