First was the battalion chief, 2nd was the chief of the department, 3rd was deputy chief and last was the safety officer. It’s a standard response for building fires out here
In Germany there would be a 4 truck Unit (Löschzug 1 ladder(3ff) two firetrucks ( per truck 9 ff) and maybe a Transpporter with 3-7 ff) and only one higher officer ina Command vehicle thats all.
@@Caddl123Perhaps I'm mistaken, but I suspect that some agencies with large budgets buy toys and then invent uses for them after the fact. Several months ago, I drove past workers from the water department of the medium sized city I was transiting through. Flashing lights are an important safety feature for vehicles standing at worksites on or near the highway, but in this instance, the water dept utility vehicles had yellow, green and red flashing roof lights, strobe lights in the head and tail lamps, and multiple other flashing lights mounted on the bodywork. I'm sure it cost the local residents quite a bit of money, but it wouldn't seem to be a justifiable expense.
Love the unmarked cars! I thought it was a volunteer fire department for a minute lol. Awesome catches subscribed and liked!
Southington is a combination department, but all the units seen in this video are paid firefighters
Loved those older SUVs with the old whelen sirens.
Did that old explorer have a whelen alpha? The white one is what I'm talking about because that is what is what it sounded like.
I believe so
@@engine3photography you don't hear many of those sirens anymore! :D
Do so many fire admins need to respond?
Great video! Is this Southington Connecticut?
Thanks, and yes it is!
Good lord why do they need so many cars

At first I was wondering if anybody was going to think about taking a fire truck to the fire
