I understand how Lil Mo feels. It’s hard making money in the music industry nowadays. Record labels don’t support the artist. Mainstream media doesn’t support artists. It’s difficult trying to market yourself when certain mainstream platforms used in the past no longer exist as they once did (i.e. radio, music channels). When artists release an album we aren’t buying it when we can hear it on streams like UA-cam or pirate their music. It’s exponentially hard for them to promote their music to only receive a sliver of return on their investment.
This is sweet. Yes, Mo does sang her ass off. Too bad that it never really worked out for her because she's indeed a missed opportunity. Great voice, but down the line, the music, overall, fizzled out. A lot of artists face that same dilemma. 9 outta 10, the voices are still there, but the songs don't seem to resonate like they used to. Perhaps it's just a time thing. Anyway, y'all look hella pretty.
