They need to start from drawing board to implement such highly complicated assistant system. No current line up of Tata car can have this even if they wanted to. They need something new something fresh. and I fear we are long long away from that. ( A thought - tata is doing r&d for automatic for altroz since 2020 and there is no chance of it coming in 2021,yes tata launched a premium city car without automatic and it's been 1 years 🙏🏻 thanku tata)
The same problem (corner speeding) was with earlier models of Tesla which actually was the main reason for their Automation failure, but they now, have fixed that by installing few more cams on sides of the car. Hoping Mahindra will improve that too...

How the vehicle apprehend at which distance the exact turn after giving turn indicator as input, as it is not taking inputs from GPS? So I think it’s not fully autonomous but it will surely prevent head on collision in the same lane. Which is commendable from Indian manufacturer.

Hi gagan, Adaptive cruise at sharp corners is an issue in 7oo,but I think MNM will not advice to use adaptive cruise control at such turns.It must be meant for highways with not so sharp turns and for crawling traffics in city to avoid fatigue in d right foot or leg. Steering angle sensor can give input during adaptive cruise control mode to avoid speeding at turns,a suggestion for MNM from a prospective buyer of the car
Are you planning to use ADAS features in city gullies and villages roads 😂😂🤣. I am sure it will not detect speed breaker because most of the speed breaker in our cities have no markings.

@@raj27481 it follows a vehicle . So will be useful in stop n go traffic . But it might be problematic in AT transmission because when it stops I don’t think it will put the car in Neutral mode which is actually needed .
The ADAS feature in demonstration was ACC. In ACC the speed of the vehicle is controlled as the vehicle detects objects. Objects are cars, trucks, pedestrians, motorcycles etc. Also ACC is not really a smart feature for stop and go traffic but mainly useful for highways. Some OEMs have tweaked ACC for such stop and go traffic conditions example Honda’s ACC with LSF feature.
Hats off to Mahindra for implementaion of such automation in XUV700 with in a challenging price tag. In the recent past I bought XUV700, now I am thinking I should wait till now.

Try the cruise control with one bike between your car and car you follow. Let the bike jump in randomly between both objects. Then see if it works or not . Most of time we drive in City area with trafic where two wheeler jumps in from no where.

Hello As you said, you were about taking the Sharp Turn with hands off the steering wheel. No Manufacturers supports automatic sharp turns in their cars not even on Tesla model 3 or S. I still didnt understand the reason behind the non metal back in xuv700 and also I was expecting Paddle Shifters for gear after getting all this big features BTW so thanks for showing the test results. 5:15 at a time this can be dangerous becuse if not set adaptive control and keep thinking car will take care then you not get chance to sopt it suddenly!

This tech is from Intel Mobieye team. We Indians still have not started anything on Autonomous driving. While Whole world have invested a lot in this technology and working in this technology , but we will be late to enter this Tech. I believe we will end up mostly importing or buying this technology and fitting it in our Indian car.

Its so good to see MM offering these features at such an affordable rates in the Indian market. Gaurav bhaiya, some features are not there because of Indian road conditions. Many drivers uses indicator but they did not turn. Many of them uses it to give pass signal to the driver who is driving behind. So it may be possible that after pressing the indicator, it is not getting slow.

Their autodrive is what's saving them. Once we get that too, their potential future in India, is officially DEAD.

In 2014 Mahendra had invited ppl for autonomous drivering contest and that that was like this is impossible in Indian conditions... but look after 7 years of hard research Mahendra has done it.. congratulations to Mahendra and team 👏
This tech is from Intel Mobieye team. We Indians still have not started anything on Autonomous driving. While Whole world have invested a lot in this technology and working in this technology , but we will be late to enter this Tech. I believe we will end up mostly importing or buying this technology and fitting it in our Indian car.

Good review!!!! However we should come out of the mindset that only european or US car manufacturers can only give us these top notch safety features which are reliable. Its so good to see MM offering these features at such an affordable rates in the Indian market. Also no product is the best when launched first and needs a lot of iterations to reach perfection and reliability. We should actually appreciate MM for such top notch features

Gaurav bhaiya, some features are not there because of Indian road conditions. Many drivers uses indicator but they did not turn. Many of them uses it to give pass signal to the driver who is driving behind. So it may be possible that after pressing the indicator, it is not getting slow.
