One of the - if not *the* hardest- deaths to deal with I've encountered in any anime or manga. It was quite obvious where his story was going, but I was still hoping for some kind of miracle - at least seeing him reborn would have been enough. I'm glad he died in the arms of the people he cared about the most, but the fact that he admitted not wanting to die during his last moments, was especially heart-breaking. Break was one of my first favorite characters I encountered in the anime/manga world, and he still remains one of my all time favorites, but I can't re-read Pandora Heart, as his characters fate remains too painful.
Since the beginning, the author told us that Break did not have much time left. That’s why it hurt so much when we got to know him, learn about his story, and began falling in love with his character. Because he would not be in the final pages of the chapter. I think listening to this song’s lyrics, it suits Break well. And while I hate the fact that he didn’t get to live a more peaceful, less painful life. I’m glad that when he did pass, he was surrounded by people who cherished him dearly. In his last moments, he found “home”

Break going blind and dying was the saddest thing in Pandora Hearts for me. I wish that he turned out to be a Baskerville, never went blind and lived.
