Guitar condition:
The guitar of a blues legend and idol of millions of guitarists across the world is based on his specifications. Alder Olympic White ищвн looks great together with the maple fingerboard . The instrument is in perfect condition - ready to be sold - and without any traces of wear. The guitar is also in a perfect condition technically - the neck is even, mechanics functions well.
Sound:
In fact, this instrument is the reproduction of a vintage Stratocaster with some improvements:
Vintagevintage tremolo is blocked here (like with all the other Eric Clapton guitars), which helps to keep better tune
One of the tone knobs is responsible for TBX Tone Control, which is the boost of high/low frequency. In the usual position it is fixed at 5; when turning it in one direction to the 10, we get more highs in the sound, in another - more lows. It is a great instrument for tone control!
The second tune knob is responsible for famous Mid Boost, which helps to get more volume (+25 dB) and middle frequency boost.
The instrument has Fender Noiseless pickups. Famous noiseless sensors have characteristic sound that is not always similar to the vintage singles, but is interesting in its own way.
All this widens the functional of such a well-known Stratocaster, which helps to get more dramatic changes of guitar sound characteristics.
Tuning and convenience:
Fender Stratocaster Eric Clapton Signature has a V neck, which, in Eric’s opinion, is the most comfortable neck. The vintage bridge is set here, but there’s no need to talk about it as it is blocked and has more like a visual function. Vintage Fender keys function well - no questions asked. 5-positions switch, volume and two tones are the usual set for a Strat.
Packaging:
Guitar is delivered with a Fender hardshell case.
The general result and my subjective opinion:
Fender Stratocaster Eric Clapton Signature suits best for blues, rock, funk. It has rather non-standard changes made by Eric Clapton, but they are useful when playing. It should be mentioned that TBX is not an ordinary Stratocaster tone knob. A build-in boost helps to avoid using the pedal-board boost.
This is the perfect instrument for Eric Clapton fans as well as for those who look for the better Stratocaster functional.
