My driving quirk: I'll knock on the windshield when passing an accident---someone told me a long time ago that their parent had said it was like an audible prayer to bring the attention of the angels, and it stuck with me. I've done it ever since.
You could fill up a container instead of letting the water run down the drain and use it for plants etc:) sometimes making a "quirk'" work for us is better than trying to change ourselves!

The weight thing is not weird at all. That’s why weighted blankets are a thing. 🙂 Sometimes I fold mine up and lay it over my upper body. It’s great. Thanks for the vlog! You and your sister are adorable.
I was going to say the same thing. I’m surprised she doesn’t have a weighted blanket. It’s the action of grounding oneself!

I think there must be something comforting for all of us to have the upper chest hugged....you do it with books, I do it by hugging pillows or laying on my stomach, and there are people that sleep with a weighted blanket. There is even a tapping exercise you can do on your chest to relieve stress. Next time you're around family, just ask for a big hug! So pretty normal if you ask me!!!

YES! And what I think is just as tremendous is how 'corporate' it is - meaning - she and her cousin-like-a-sister have been supporting each other side-by-side throughout life, with jobs, then school. Can't wait to hear where they're going to be situated side-by-side next!

My weird thing … When all the kids are being crazy I howl like wolf. The kids stop & howl with me & then they are more chill lol 😂 my husband doesn’t bat an eye lid & even joins in sometimes but my family thinks it’s weird lol 😂

Weight/pressure to alleviate anxiety is 100% a thing! There are weighted blankets, weighted jackets, and even weighted jackets for pets. All to help with anxiety.
If you put the ball in a longer sock and hold onto it you can control its position more when you against the wall
Um, combine two of your quirks and you've got one of mine: I literally do the circus music when I sit down to pee. I'm not kidding. I think it started when I worked with kindergarteners, and they are so silly and crazy. I'd step away from "the circus" to take a bathroom break and it'd just naturally come to me. Sometimes I do it in public just to see if it'll make anybody laugh!

1. I LOVE bookstores! Mostly little bookstores, but i can’t pass up any bookstore without going in!!
2. I dislike weddings
3. I haven’t turned in a tv in at least 3years
4. I’m obsessed with quilts

Weighted blanket for chest. Bed quilt maybe after washing it drape over shower rod & put in dryer when almost dry.
Cereal for dessert is the BEST! That crunch was so satisfying too 🤤🤤
Congratulations to your sister & cousin! My niece graduated from A&M a few years ago with the same degree (Bach & Master’s combo), took her CPA exams, which were super difficult & then married a year later (fall 2020). She is working herself silly at Price Waterhouse (70 hr weeks)-ugh!
Quirks:
1. I don’t close cabinet doors/drawers all the way. Never understood why I have such an aversion to the sound of closing things made of wood. When we built our house my husband installed cabinet door/drawer delays on everything in our house. Too bad they’re not on my clothes dresser.
2. Screech a little after a nap/sleep to “wake up”.
3. Make a winding up/down whine during an exhale when I’m tired/overwhelmed. It’s known as “The Tallant Whine” -my maiden name & my dad used to do it).
4. Won’t eat things that are weird textures. Ex: won’t bite down on a whole grape because it reminds me of an eyeball. I can eat the cut in half, though.
Incidentally, my teenage son has all the same quirks except my last one listed. 😬
I talk to the drivers while I drive (they can't hear me of course). I say things like, "What are ya doing fella?" Or "ok, fella, what's going on here?" My family pointed that out to me once. I also use song melodies to sing what I need my kids to do when they aren't listening well. Like a Little Mermaid song and sing, "I need you to pick up your things and take them to your room please." And I'll sing about all the things. Or something like that. Also if I smell a weird smell I've been known to crawl around on the floor trying to track it down.😂

Some think the fact that I like to clean and organize is different cause it's truly just chores for most but I do! Weighted blankets are great! But I will say, the turning the water on is not a great habit. If you feel uncomfortable going to the restroom in quiet, then take your phone an play some music. My weird quirk is that I need to take a shower before I sleep, because I like my feet to be wet. If they’re dry, I can’t fall asleep. So weird, I looked it up and other people have this too.
Michel, you should get a weighted blanket!! Pressure helps a lot of people get over anxiety. Also, at target right now, they have weighted stuffed animals that feel so nice resting on your chest. Check them out!!

When I was in middle school I took a typing class, and to memorize where the keys were I made a game for myself where I practiced by typing out my thoughts. My quirk is that now I subconsciously type out my thoughts by tapping the correct fingers. Sometimes it's hard to stop!

I used to have a thing about not liking even numbers so when I would watch TV the volume always had to be on an odd number. So if I needed to turn it up or down it would always have to be up or down in even number increments to keep it on an odd number. I only recently broke this habit.

One of my quirks is I've memorized where the letters on each number are when dialing on the phone. So sometimes I'll randomly convert a word into numbers. Completely useless but it is something that has stuck with me since the 90s.

I don’t drink alcohol and also enjoy a weighted blanket. I think my family thinks I’m aloof but I am actually an introvert who can perform in public if need be. Michel you are adorable.

I make noises when driving too. I also have "hold music". I start humming the Doug theme song when I'm bored or waiting. I also make crazy faces when doing something sketchy.
You are the best Michel. I count things while I'm driving sometimes and categorize things in my mind. I always want people to guess things. I think of the song Enya Only Time in my head to relax when I'm stressed out. I'm so proud of your sister and happy you get to be neighbors.

I wanted to share a quirk my fiance has is when he's replaying conversations in his head he'll animate it with his hands. So he'll just start moving his hands around and I'll just be like "what conversation are you replaying rn?" 🤣

The weight on your chest is actually more common than you think. They make weighted blankets to put pressure on the chest and it helps with anxiety and stress. I either sleep with a weighted blanket or a heated blanket. Also, I can't sleep without a body pillow.

I live in FL and one of our interstates is notorious for changing what side the exit is on so occasionally you'll have to cross multiple, busy lanes if you're not expecting it. My weird quirk is I won't go until all lanes are clear and I'll say "cha cha real smooth" and cross all at once 😅

Loved this vlog and I also refer to people's quirks like, "it's part of their charm." 😊💗 Our similar one is the no alcohol one. When thinking about it I notice that I address or acknowledge people every time they enter a room or if I enter a room, I even do it to my dog. 😅😂🤓🐕💖 Also, when I sleep next to my husband and my previous one, I sleep behind them on our sides and I hook onto them tight like a little koala bear and I do that for the majority of the night...they do not seem to mind and learn to love it after a while. 😆😜😁 The blue shoes were not my favorite on the stand but once you had them on I thought they were adorable. Love that your bestie is so close in proximity to you now...that is really special. ❤️

Where I live now...I have to check and make sure the doors are locked before sleeping. And always keep my pocketbook in my bedroom. Oh and a light in my bedroom.
I don't comment a lot on videos, but I just had to today. It's so evident how God is letting everything fall into place in your life. Such a blessing to now live close to your family, in the same building as your sister, having best friends now move to TX, and I'm sure so many other blessings we do not get to see... you are a true testimony of how God moves mountains during hardships and makes them somehow turn for our good.

Also it’s funny you turn the faucet when using the bathroom, I do the same not sure why if it is that it helps me relax the sound of the water running or if it helps me feel more comfortable when I go I thought I was the only one that did that I guess not😀 I have something similar with the weight On the chest for me to fall asleep I need to feel some weight on my body a heavy blanket.
