OMG! Finally videos with higher resolution and FPS! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
That clutch should help gearboxes last longer with the proper dampening and so forth at the same power level a solid centre clutch would cause a input shaft to fail.
This twin plate is so quiet; at first, I thought he hadn't even pressed the clutch. This is truly next-level clutch technology.
Are twin plates really that noisy? I've got a mantic twin in my monaro and no noise at all.
@@vongdong10 depends on the transmission
More so with duel mass replacement
But some people purposely buying super single or twin plate clutch just for the sake of ice cream bell sound! 😂
I tried searching for a uniclutch for an rb26, but there’s nothing available.
have these been tested for drifting applications for example stock BMW E36/46 or mazda mx5's
Nice to some another video on this car - I thought you guys might have given up on it. Cheers
Are you using the stock csc?
Hi it is available for Honda crv 1.6 idtec?
Being that this car has the dual mass flywheel, did you need a new one as I heard that you cannot machine them? Since the car hadn't done many kms maybe this wasn't and issue.
What would be the options if you went to a lightweight single mass instead of the factory dual mass? Id be very interested to know if the claim that their dampening tech can eliminate the need for a dual mass 👍
35 degree of movement equals the dual mass movement so safe to say it'll do the same job and maybe better with the bush in their clutches too
the uniclutch has its own flywheel surface so it bolts straight up to the factory flywheel no machining needed it sort of piggybacks off the flywheel.
im still a little on the fence about uniclutch as they have sort of popped out of nowhere,
time will tell i guess if they last or not.
Being a bolt on / adapted twin plate clutch the UniClutch have their own wear surface / "Flywheel" that bolts over the factory flywheel via the adaptor ring in the kit
Why did you keep the dual mass flywheel? I thought the whole point with the superior clutch was to use a billet light weight flywheel.
To prove it works that way.
@@MotiveVideo the proof would be in installing a lightweight flywheel and showing still feels like stock. That's one of the selling points, supposedly. Another video, perhaps?
Love your work 🙌🏽
Is the manual any good in the Z?
Completly botched considering you left the stock flywheel in.
Go watch the tech video on the uni clutch
first video ive seen of someone using the uniclutch after hearing about them. im impressed with how quiet it and and that you say it drives like a factory clutch. my 6 puck is loud and is very grabby. may look at changing to a uniclutch in the future.
I approve this video
i like the twin plate rattle
I'm interested in the price for an Evo 8
but now your flywheel is heavier
What is the break-in period
They state 300m
Some crazy cool tech!
❤
5:49 "It only takes 100 meters of driving to realize that the claims are true"
6:15 "It only takes 2 minutes of driving to realize that the claims from uniclutch are true"
Well which is it? lol. Or does it take driving 100 meters over the span of 2 minutes, thus making both statements true?
God I was hoping to see what the bellhousing of the transmission looked like. Is there any like footage or any kind of angle that shows the bellhousing of that transmission? We have a project were trying to get running But we cant find the bellhousing or a picture of one to confirm anything and Its slowing us down in R&D. But god ya gotta love the uniclutch! Best feel, best bite and power potential for the price that they ask.
I don't see the subaru STI supported the on website.
Don't think they offer any pull type pressure plates, yet. Would be an awesome option.
Can swap the slave too a push
Sounds good, but Clutch Industries have a very poor reputation...
My Nismo twin plate clutch drove like factory clutch - no noise or anything
‘Rob and I’ ! Hehe
How would you rate it to a DCS clutch?
i wonder how it would handle the abuse from a drift car
Mitch Larner is running one in his LS t56 Corolla drift car that he ran in the LZ world tour
@@351sambo no shit, that's a good sign! Still the organic twin?
Do you have plans to develop the gtr clutch with Uni clutch? I’m interested as I have a R33 GTR with pull clutch so I’m guessing pull type is not a option yet or ever 🤷🏻♂️
I’m in same boat with a 34. I’m a ready buyer when they get to making one for our fit
ive seen uni clutch state they arent developing a pull style clutch, you would have to convert to a push style.
convert to push and you can bolt one up!
Interesting, 1jz r154 price for it.
2nd this
You get a twin disk, you get a twin disk, everyone gets a twin disk!
3rd
got a fucking TR2CD and they're noisy af
I think it's time to get rid of this and get a r35. Considering there similar money ( 2nd hand 35) we know you already tried selling this so it's time.
