    Did the home owners request the concrete edging? I think I will have to do it on my pond because the dirt keeps collapsing. I wish it had more clay so I don't have to use concrete to make shelves.

    Built a concrete pond by hand today, waterfall and final touches in the next few days with some extra nature scaping to come. I have to say doing it alone with as little tools as possible and working with small amounts of concrete while taking frequent steps back is the most rewarding. This is nice, but it feels like McDonalds instead of my home made meal

    A great video series, thank you. How do I get the job of the guy sat on the cement bags while everyone else works at the beginning ?

    Question: did you mix sand at all w it? Followup question if not CAN you? Or does it weaken the concrete too much? (Im making pavers and i do like a 1:1 ratio *easy on the brain* to make them smoother)

    Hey Eric, you guys kill it, much respect! One question, is hand mixing really on par for your level of play? Also, I like how a lot of you tools are painted (not when you painted the tape measure lol) My Grandpa had a chainlink fencing company in Missoula, all his stuff was purple so nobody wanted to steal it lol

    Your videos have been very inspirational and helpful in building my koi pond... The Helix Skimmer & Moving bed filter is an awesome combo. I was hoping you would do a video on tying in a UV light soon. I think you should have Leslie do a new series on ponds gone right out here in NJ!!

    Would really like to know why the cement coping since I have never seen you do it before .Does it make the edge more stable or is it just support for the rock edging .

      @NichrfUNLV 10 років тому

      Same here...maybe because of the vertical depth to maintain stability. But on the flip side why not mortar in the rocks when stacking. With the pressure of the water added I dont see the difference?

    Can you colour cement when you are mixing it or do you have to wait until it dries then paint it?
    Thanks

      Thay make dies for concrete you mix it in when you mix the concrete it a powder

    • @amandaritzau2602
      @amandaritzau2602 3 роки тому

      You can also make like a water color w the powder pigments.. just be careful if using a brush you can pull the concreate from under the color and it dries white streaky (which is a cool effect but prob only when u want it 😉)

    You guys are finishing and edging the concrete way too early...you have to let it set up and the bleed water dissipate before you finish trowel and edge it.

      Scott Larson We are going at a speed that allows us to inform, educate and inspire. We are not interested in speeding the process up to help sell products. Last night I reviewed the next 6 parts that are in the editing process. Tomorrow we film more on this pond. More to come……….soon.
