This is the most amazing thing ever. There *are* actually songs on here from various times in my life from which I would like to refind my soul from those times. The song from Norway, the Dead Can Dance, and the Philip Glass, all very significant to me. I am finding my soul.
I've always had a fascination with cicadas. They were a subject of mine when I was in college for art. But the poem really struck me. I resonate with it so much.
This mix really amused me, it's just impressive how the next song connects with my personal interest, non boring soundtracks all are unskippable, never found a mix so much accurate to my taste
These are some fine & delicate selections of tracks you have compiled. I love that you also included songs from Cocteau Twins & DCD on this mix, very splendid! and daghang salamat from the Philippines 🇵🇭🙏
Beautuful compilation of difrrent cultures and sounds,as if they all smere into one coherent experience, trully transcending, thank you also for the bulgarian folk music representation, especially combined with every other song on the playlist,so eclectic ,it's so perfect!!!
Reminds me of "When they cry" and Madoka Magica. Thank you so much for such conceptual playlist, worked for me as a breather, fresh air after long day of work. Made me feel as if I was somewhere in the forest performing a ritual on the bright and sunny day, like nothing else was troubling me but a spell stuck in my head.
HI! i went back to find your comment to tell you, the genre you're looking for is Bulgarian choir. it's that certain sound that is shared between Madoka Magica, When they cry, and many other things in pop culture. : )
Me too. I found the whole poem: Cicada Sick of his own face, sick of his skin, of the dark, he crawls outside himself to sing- a better poet than most. Hosho McCreesh
If you made this playlist I love you with all my heart, I never heard such a beautifully compiled list. I can see the intention and meaning behind it, just wow. Music really can make you feel something nothing else can.
I mean what the heaven is this playlist, I feel evolved spiritually and mentally, like putting my view above the clouds and my soul flowing endlessly, this is so underated
Wow, this is incredibly moving. The music takes you on a deep emotional journey, almost like a reflection of the soul's search for connection and peace. It feels like every note is guiding me closer to something within myself. Truly a beautiful and healing soundtrack. Thank you for sharing such a powerful experience.
This piqued my interest because our boat is named La Cigale, which means The Cicada. Wasn't disappointed. The music resonates with the history of the boat that was owned since it's beginning in1976 by an old french man who sailed her around the world. Now it's our turn. She has a picture of a cicada playing a violin on her bow.
It was a good year! My younger brother started his life in 1976. His journey ended in 2020. I thought about him a lot listening to this lovely collection of music 🙏
это первый плейлист, который я прослушала полностью несколько раз и мне понравились абсолютно все песни из него. бро, я не знаю кто ты, но я уже тебя люблю
Creation seems to come out of imperfection. It seems to come out of a striving and a frustration and this is where I think language came from. I mean, it came from our desire to transcend our isolation and have some sort of connection with one another. And it had to be easy when it was just simple survival. Like you know, "water." We came up with a sound for that. Or saber tooth tiger right behind you. We came up with a sound for that. But when it gets really interesting I think is when we use that same system of symbols to communicate all the abstract and intangible things that we're experiencing. What is like... frustration? Or what is anger or love? When I say love, the sound comes out of my mouth and it hits the other person's ear, travels through this byzantine conduit in their brain through their memories of love or lack of love, and they register what I'm saying and they say yes, they understand. But how do I know they understand? Because words are inert. They're just symbols. They're dead, you know? And so much of our experience is intangible. So much of what we perceive cannot be expressed. It's unspeakable. And yet you know, when we communicate with one another and we feel that we have connected and we think that we're understood I think we have a feeling of almost spiritual communion. And that feeling might be transient, but I think it's what we live for. ~Waking Life

Wild. I was like, this sounds just like that one song from Waking Life right there in the beginning
The cicada is a strange attractor for me.
Interesting national Bulgarian chant ! Totally Slavic (including Serbia) and a bit of Georgian that can be heard. Amazing
