I love not having a black tank, however, don't forget that you'll pay $2 per each flush and have to carry huge size of the cartridges (online order only) in your van...
@@6JWB9 not necessarily true. Right now we are using our van as a mobile ski lodge. We have bathrooms to use during the day, but when it's 20 degrees Fahrenheit at night my wife prefers to use the Laveo in the van and not a Sno Park bathroom. If you use the Laveo " Pee Powder ", you can get 3 uses with no smell at all before flushing if just peeing. So technically speaking, you could get 51 uses per cartridge. We are on our 4th trip - about 14 days / nights, and still on the first cartridge! So even with buying the "Pee Powder", it could be as low as 68 cents a flush.
Scott, it was a pleasure having you tour Amore. Always nice to see you, and thank you again for GSLL helping us find Embassy and live the dream. We will continue to chronicle our van and our journey over at Amore Van, so all are welcome to check-in from time to time. Looking forward to seeing you again down the road. Bring the bourbon. Guy and Rose Anne… such a delight to showcase your Van passion, to help others understand a style of Van Travel, and show the in and out of your Amore Van (an intimate space of leisure and discovery). My fave scene I think was Rose Anne getting the “okay” to show the interior of the fridge! Second fave was Rose Anne holding the mic and the shower wand. You both did a great job!!! Me and many others thank you for your willingness to be transparent and educate. Cheers… Amore Van
Hey Terry Minix... this is a great tagline for Embassy, "it's a vehicle meant for the journey as much as the destination." Love it! I really want one of these rigs.
Terry Minix and his company suck- I wouldn't buy an Embassy or his former company's vans. QA stinks and lots of mistakes and yes I'm disgruntled but I'm truthful. FU Terry
Hello again. I got a great look at the Cape Cod and it’s going to be an awesome B+. The storage is super, everything you get in the regular van and more. It will have a really nice shower and as always the attention to detail RVers love is reflected in the plans. If you’re in the market for a B+ there is no question this is going to shake up that market in its debut. I feel it’s not the right layout for me as a solo traveler, but if you want space for 2 or more people to travel (or full-time), this will be will be worth the wait. My daughter-in-law loved what she saw and wants to go back and see one that is finished. I may have unleashed her inner RVer.
@@gosmall.livelargethe biggest wow factor I saw was the shower. It’s huge! You’re going to love it, but it’s just doesn’t have the stealth factor of the vans and for me that’s important. -Marie
Great interview and tour! I’m always interested in seeing the Embassy, it’s just so different from everything else on the market. Thanks to Guy and Roseanne for sharing!
Mark Sleppy here, love these tours of the Embassy vans. I haven't seen on in person yet (anyone heading to the Seattle area with an Embassy?) but feel like I have become of all the sharing like this. And I learn something new each time I see a video tour. Thanks Scott and Rose Anne and Guy. God's blessings to you.

Woo Hoo! 49 seconds to toilet talk! A new record! It looks like Guy and RoseAnne have the same map that we bought... smart people think alike! Not sure why WE were thinking alike, but there ya go! 😄 How on earth did you get stickers up on the kitchen walls?? I loved the Embassy build but was very disappointed... you didn't sing! 🎶🎵🎤🎵🎶
Thanks Scott. Great review and lovely owners. I’ve said this before, Embassy is not for me. I like the air conditioning and lack of holes in the van. But I can’t get past the lack of toilet. I had three children and was gifted a diaper genie. I got rid of it after baby #1. It’s a disgusting, wasteful system. Dumping is not a big deal for me. I do appreciate the lack of generator and propane, I wish my van didn’t have those. I’ve also said the water fill is absolutely a no for me. I have spilled many times, so having it in the interior of the van just wouldn’t work for me. Finally, the position of the kitchen far from the door opening, given that windows don’t open is not ideal, as well as the lack of opening windows. Glad they enjoy it. We all have different needs and wants, that’s ok. I wish you could buy a more customizable van, but without the custom price tag.
The counter is called a marine edge. It’s designed so water does not spill over. My stainless steel countertop at home from the fifties has a marine edge. Had a couple pieces a made to go on the other side of the kitchen and the experienced fabricator explained it to me and made the new pieces the same way!
It was very nice meeting you today! My wife and I have watched so many of your videos it feels like I know you well and it was a pleasure to have a conversation with you. Plus, I got to meet Lily. 🙂
Mike! And Miss Lily was thrilled to meet you. Thx a ton for joining us today at Winnebago Motor Homes in Rockford, Illinois. What a great day for all :)
Hi Guy and Roseanne! It is so fun seeing your van tour on Scott's channel! I missed touring your van at Embassy's MeetUp this summer! So many Embassy vans to see! I am loving your Amore On the Road map on the wall. Where did you get it? How do you get it to stay up? Also the pretty things on the wall around the sink...how did you get it to stick on the marine vinyl walls? I haven't tried to put anything on our new Embassy's walls, yet. Your decorations are adorable!
The Ford Transit builds are 22 feet. The waiting period really varies depending on when you order in Ford’s chassis year. In recent times, that wait period has been anywhere from 10-18 months. I can’t help you on price because we picked up ours a year ago and much has changed since then (especially what Ford charges for the chassis). Your best bet is to call Embassy and ask what the current price range is. Even then, that will depend on Ford’s 2024 chassis price, which may not yet be set.
Thx Van C for watching. Pricing is so variable, but ERV all-in is around $135k to $150k. Do not let that scare you! When compared to the big producers you get a ton more of Van for your $$. Please reach out to EmbassyRV.com to get a better idea. No “sales people” there, just folks helping your through the process. And, please tell ‘em Scott of Go Small. Live Large! sent you ;)
Love the interior and stealth factor….wondering though if it can be lifted with higher clearance for venturing on rougher terrain or be built on the Ford Transit with Trail package?
Chris, we were attracted to the openness of the S floor plan. Really makes the space feel bigger. For us, the SL felt too segmented, but the SL is a great option for people who want or need 2 separate sleeping areas.
Sam, it fits in most parking spaces. In large lots, like a grocery store, we’ll park far from the door in an empty area so we can overhang is need be. In a space at a curb, we can back in so the rear overhangs the curb to fit in the space. It’s never been a problem finding a place to park. Regarding your second question, we haven’t needed to change a tire, but you would Jack up the van and change it like any tire. If it was the inside dually, you’d have to remove the outside tire first, of course. Embassy vans come with a full sized spare..
Hi! We got the cargo netting on Amazon. I think it’s 8” x 24”. Regarding the paper towel holder, you probably don’t want the same one. Guy had to modify it by drilling a hole in the base and reversing a bolt so the stem could be unscrewed without removing the base from the counter. Better to look for one that can be unscrewed that way in the first place (necessary in order to refill the paper towels)
My Dream, don't think it will happen, medical issues. Getting ready for bypass, lower body. If Surgery works, I might be able to walk some . But don't think I can last a year wait for van. Still my dream. From Maine.
Scott, no disrespect to you or these owners but, you know my opinion of this van from your first tour. I like it less and less each time! It's just so cold and dreary inside. My big issue however, is with that toilet! While it may be convenient, it is an environmental nightmare as the Mylar bagging material never biodegrades and will be around forever! Even Laveo admits this, to cover themselves legally, I assume, in their website FAQs. Shame on them for not finding a better option and shame on Embassy for promoting and supporting them! At this point in time, we should all be more concerned with protecting and renewing our planet, not destroying it even further simply for profit and convenience!
That is to the digital TV antenna. It is supplied inside a sleeve on the back wall, but we found we get better reception by moving it to the rear window, so that’s the wire you saw.
We rarely go over 65. Above that your gas mileage will suffer. Average on all roads and conditions over 20,000 miles is about 14.6. On a flat interstate, closer to 16.

For us, the lack of black tank was a big selling point. That tank valve is one more thing that’s going to fail someday…….no thanks.
going with a Laveo dry flush toilet in our new custom van. The wife said that was a non-negotiable item.
