JP Sousa was definitely operating on all 12 cylinders when he wrote this one!!!! And as usual, the US Marine Band is totally on point. They treat the "lowly" march as real music...as it should be. I see so many friends and former colleagues on this stage. I miss them all.
Greatest SOUSA march (in my opinion) played by the greatest ensemble.
Written in a pretty difficult key for wind bands. Six flats in the trio section which is very rare. Great march however.
So beautifully played! Thanks for featuring the clarinets in the 2nd strain, and everyone, thanks for all the accents....I hear you!
Great to see "Nobles" advance to the finals. Go Nobles.
hope it wins! my fav march 🤩
Oh love it ! Enjoyable and wonderful March .. thank you Marine Band ❤😊
Yes! Bravo!
Back for another March mania! Nobles of the mystic shrine is my winner.
mystic better clutch up this time but imperial march is so popular 😭
I’m not sure why, but this really sounds like a circus March to me - light and bouncy!
I picked this one to win for March mania
My favorite march of all time! its beautiful and entertaining :>
Sousa was a Shriner..one of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine...As a Shriner myself and musician, I sense the various activities of the Shriners in one of their famous parades. Close your eyes and see for yourself.
this deserved a win in march mania!!
Nah thunderer should have won
Absolutely!
❤️
Listening to this while using the restroom makes me feel like royalty
10/10
Capolavoro!!!!!!!
Beautiful performance!
Superb!
Congratulations on being 2nd against The Honored Dead! But all in all all Sousa pieces are Great!
I feel the bass trombones face at 2:00, silently counting out the rest until I get to play something in general.
Tremendous! I prefer listening to the recording of the University of Michigan band under Revelli. One of the first CDs I purchased as a teenager (back when those were what you really wanted following cassette tapes) was the Sousa CD they recorded in the 1960s. I still enjoy playing it and cranking this one up almost until the neighbors complain!
Dies dürfte wohl das heimliche Vorbild des "Steinmetze"-Songs aus den Simpsons sein
