Good hunts! I went on a Ross hunt again today to look for the Thunder Machine and or any GI Joe figures but didn’t find either, just the way it goes sometimes though
Good stuff as always, the main keys to finding good stuff is go early and often. I was wondering if your daughters collect too? My daughters collect anime figures, some mcfarlane and lately monster high dolls.
Do you feel there is a difference between a scalper and reseller? For example, if I purchase an item to resell so I can make enough profit to have the extra funds to purchase a different item I want for my collection. For me, it's the only way I can afford to collect.
@@masterchief247 some resellers ARE SCALPERS …. My definition is simply if a reseller goes out and hoards a recently manufactured/ released item for more than double THAT is a scalper. Hoarding is buying up all the items in your area you can and online with the intention of marking them up. A pure “white hat” reseller is someone selling a collectible that is older than 6-12 months for whatever the secondary market will offer. Ultimately this is a capitalist society and what people do and pay for with their money is their business… but, here is something to ponder, if scalping / gouging wasn’t a big deal and all is fair … then why do we have anti gouging laws? For a bunch of products … I believe it is shady to be a scalper but not illegal and a scalper deserves to be criticized again not illegal but morally and ethically bankrupt
@209edd it's an interesting topic given the way life is these days. For example, yesterday at my local Ross, they had 2 thunder machines. I bought one and left the other for someone else. I wanted a she hulk from a collectibles store for $20 for my private collection. I sold the thunder machine and made $20 profit. Now I'm going to go buy the she hulk to keep for myself. I never used to do this, but all my extra funds now go to food, rent, etc. If I don't flip items, I can't collect. If there was no other way, would you just stop collecting if flipping was the only way you could afford to continue? Just curious.
@ Ross items IMO are not “SCALP-able “ … they are old clearanced items that are at liquidation stores … I mean, even now I go to toy shows to get some income for collecting by selling old figs n stuff .. Ross scores are random left overs that people passed on or played clearance chicken with so sell for what the market will pay. I would stop collecting if it affected my family’s security/ financial well being or if it no longer brought me joy.
@@209edd thanks for discussing. Appreciate the honesty. Keep up the great work on your channel. Happy holidays to you and your family. Here's to a better 2025 for us all.
Oh the new thing is people are buying figures at Ross and returning them to Target for the full price, like the Retro Iron Man Wave or putting the UPC from new figure’s onto old or customized retro cards and returning them for full price. Shady.
Johnny Utah's brother Wheeler LOL. (Johnny Utah was Keanu Reeves character in Point Break for those who dont know) I liked the room tours my last few hunts were all dry holes its nice to see stuff is out there just not near me apparently. I'm with you on the 'Fraudsters" and "Swappers" they gotta be some pathetic POS's.
Is one guy I watch his videos he go the target a lot to find toys are being hidden in different areas of store. a lot of them at the bottom shelf he lift them and you be surprised of the toys there had been hiding for months. some of those old toys was hidding and the employes just found them.😂
Room tour was amazing! Very Fun!
Halo jumper popped up at my Ross. Picked up two 16.99 each. Hopefully they pop up in y’all’s

My oldest collects sailor moon and other anime … the younger one loves to draw / create from scratch! So she’s a little toy maker :)
@@209edd thats funny my youngest daughter loves to draw too and recently started customizing monster high dolls.
I had my hands on that warhammer today and left it.
