First week of February and this resort is a possibility for us. If we don’t choose to upgrade our room what kind of room should we expect? I can’t see pictures of the rooms that aren’t upgrades on the website. Also, are all of those buffets and restaurants in the video included? Are there shows or entertainment at night? And is the wifi free? Thanks!!

Curious how this resort may look over Christmas 2024? How is the food overall? How does it compare to hard rock, moon palace. We actually just stayed at the grand royal as a more economical choice and found the food to be delicious. Older resort but very clean and staff were super accommodating.

Do you mean how will it be decorated or Christmas or how it will look in terms of the number of guests? If it is the former (decor) it will look fantastic. They put up a great big Christmas tree in the lobby and have lots of garland and decorations around the lobby area of the resort. I'm not a foodie, I don't need gourmet but I do like good food presented nicely. The resort delivers good food and presents it nicely. Sure, you may find some inconsistencies among all the dining venues but you'd find that at any resort. From a star rating perspective this resort would be a half star to a full star below Hard Rock and Moon Palace but it's a sold 4-star especially with the management change that took place last year. The new management group also manage Hyatt Ziva Cancun, Hyatt Zilara Cancun as well as some other premium resorts so they are cleaning this one up quite nicely both from an esthetic and service perspective. Great video you guys. Please tell me this. I have knee issues and going up and down stairs is a problem with me. Does this resort have facilities in place (elevators, ramps, golf carts etc) to help me get everywhere I might want to go? (ie: from room to restaurants, beach, pool etc..) Thanks so much, Steve S.
Hi @stevenschindler8342 I love the question about accessibility. Seadust Cancun is like most resorts in the Cancun hotel zone in that they look and feel like a hotel in your nearest major city. They are high rise buildings versus many smaller buildings spread out over a larger property. For that reason I would suggest the hotel part is quite accessible as most guests regardless of ability would need to use the elevators to get to their rooms. All the restaurants and main bars are located in the tower so they are always just an elevator ride away. The pool deck and down to the beach may present a challenge as I only saw stairs but also wasn't looking to closely either. You were so quick with showing the beach! I’ve seen other reviews say that the ocean was too choppy to go into and it wasn’t safe for swimming, was that your experience as well? I’m surprised a resort would market themselves as family friendly if their area of the beach wasn’t safe for swimming.

Yes, I didn't show much of the beach which is unfortunate but sometimes the footage I capture isn't quality enough for my videos. It could be noise, it could be a blurry camera lens due to humidity or a number of other reasons. In this instance, it the humidity blurring my footage. I thought the beach at Seadust and along the entire hotel zone was lovely. It can get a little wavey but that has nothing to do with it's location and more to do with weather patterns. If there is very little wind you'll have an incredibly calm beach. That said, they call themselves a family resort due to the all the family friendly amenities at the resort from the kids club, to the teen club, the splash pad and the waterpark. Are you considering a vacation at Seadust Cancun?

Hi, do you know if they accept the payment with cash? I’m asking because I saw some all inclusive hotels that don’t accept the payment with cash, just with card.

They need to hold your card on file for any incidental charges you may incur while staying at the resort. These may be damage to the room, movies you order, International phone calls, spa treatments, romantic dinners on the beach, etc.

Are you asking about paying extra for rollaway beds or cribs that may not already be in the rooms? If so, yes, some resorts do charge an extra fee. I don't believe Seadust is one them but I should also note that the extra beds are subject to availability. Requesting one does not guarantee one.
Keep in mind, there is no enclosure so what you see is all hot on the inside in the building. the only cool areas are some of the restaurants and the rooms. Not a great hotel!
Hey @claudioespinoza3736 I didn't notice the heat inside as much. I wonder if it was because we were there at different times or perhaps the air conditioning wasn't working in those spaces. The resort may not have been great for you but I've sent lots of client there who loved it. Not all resorts are built equally and while this one wasn't the one for you I'm sure there is a resort out there that you'd love. What type of amenities and things do you need at a resort to make it great for you? From me; I need a nice big sandy beach, a nice pool bar and a variety of restaurants for dinner. The management and ownership group has changed and they are now backed by a larger resort management group which is making great efforts to improve the resort. It has really good bones as they would say in the real estate world but does need a face lift. I really love their family rooms and all the restaurants are centrally located which is also nice. Plus, the have that great waterpark. It will be interesting to see what this resort is like within the next six months to a year. When were you there last?

Keep in mind, there is no enclosure so what you see is all hot on the inside in the building. the only cool areas are some of the restaurants and the rooms. Not a great hotel!

this is an overrated hotel. lack of maintenance. service is rude. the vibe and attitude is not the best
