I still remember the first Avett Brothers song I ever heard (Murder in the City) and will never forget those chills I got. Been a faithful Avett fan since and will carry them with me as long as I live.

This songs destroys me. SO beautiful, I am so grateful I discovered this band, I don't think I've ever appreciated a current band more than I do this band. I was fortunate enough to see them in October when they came to my town, hands down the best live show I have ever been too.
A lot of their songs hit me pretty hard emotionally, but this one here, makes me ball like a baby every time I hear it. I can't pinpoint what it is. I think it's the genuineness and sincerity in how he sings it. It's just so freaking beautiful. Oh and I once saw him cry while singing this song and that makes it even harder having that memory.

The Avett Brothers are so soulful and amazing...and I love that they take this thing called "fame" in stride. They live life on their terms, and sound so damned amazin', even when playing in the back yard, on the beach or in a local park when they stop for lunch! They are like "crack" for the spirit and soul, and--of course--the ears!

This is probably the first time I could really this to this song since we broke up. It was a long distance thing and this song just hit home when we were together and especially when I had to drive away. November is when we broke up, so sadly denouncing November blue makes more sense to me. but this is still such a beautiful song
