    Thank you for telling me not to throw it away after it blooms! I was so unsure but it’s a beautiful plant and don’t want to get rid of it :)

    Wish I had taken a photo of my bloom! Thank you for this video! I did not know that they only bloom once. Hopefully, I didn't wait too long before clipping the dead part. Thanks for your video! I subscribed!

    I dig you. You’ve got great energy. Thank you for this video. I just subbed.
    I was hoping for just a bit of clarification… when I replant the pups (I have 3) do I replant separately and with fresh soil? Can I reuse soil from the mother plant?
    Thank you. ✨

      Awwe yo thank you Delia, really appreciated 🙏 Yes you can plant them in with the original mother plant soil, they're pretty prominent epiphytes meaning that they pretty much use the soil as an anchor, with some nutrient absorption needs. I recommend new soil just because aged soil tends to get waterlogged easily as it gets compacted with time, so it's just safer to use new soil. Have a great day :))

    I have a giant one of these that I received for Christmas. How do you know when the bloom is "dead"? Mine is so big I had to tie it up because it wants to flop out of the pot. I think it's time to cut the bloom but I'm not sure, I'd love to keep it longer but it looks so sad. It's too big to keep in my apartment so I put it outside and it's struggling in the dry 9a zone here. Do you think cutting the flower will help bring the plant back? April 9th, 2021

    Thanks for sharing. Where indoors can I place the Guzmania, will it be okay in medium light? Do I need to water weekly in winter?

      @maxzytaruk8558  3 роки тому

      Hey! Hope you're doing well:) medium light is fine for these guys, definitely would'nt go lower in light than that though. It really depends on how warm you keep your house in the winter. I definitely think you could get away with watering every 10 to 12 days if it's not too warm, do long as the soil doesn't routinely go bone dry. Best of luck with your Guzmania:)!!

    I've managed to get my pups to bloom. I put potted pup a plastic bag together put a ripe apple . The gas secreted by the ripe apple resulted in my first flower.

    I've got 3 babies on my mother plant. Would you plant them to 1 pot together or 3 separat? Thank you.

    • @maxzytaruk8558
      @maxzytaruk8558  3 роки тому +2

      Hey there! Congratulations on the babies! I would definitely plant them separately, they will quickly fill up their pots, why have one pot full when you can have three ;))) have a good one!

    I bought a Guzmania on clearence in a mall just to save her. She already bloomed and the flower part is cut off but she has no pups atm. Can anybody share some thoughts on how should I proceed? Should I keep her and hope for the pup? Or is she gonna go yellow before a pup happens? Thank you!

    Would you suggest repotting the baby in the winter?

    • @maxzytaruk8558
      @maxzytaruk8558  3 роки тому

      Hello there, yes, so long as you get a few hours of at least moderate light, the only real concern with these guys is the cold night temperatures, they do go into a somewhat dormant state so It might take some time for their roots to reestablish, It should be fine though, best of luck eh!!!:)
