My 31 Day Experiment with SIX New Fountain Pens: What Happened?

I embarked on another inky project in October and want to share how Days 4 to 9 have turned out. As I had expected, I'm excited and engaging with my stuff and that's what is most important to me.

Safari is a great colour! I bought the whole bottle. It only comes in one of those pie shaped wedge bottles.

I really love my Lamy Marron LX. The look and feel of it is amazing. it's like a fancy dress for my inks. Maybe I'll have to use it next month with Ancient copper. I've been really into green inks lately especially the dark olive colors. My current love is Troublemaker hanging rice. I love the lighter colors of green in swatches but it always seems the flow is inconsistent where most of the color is in the downstroke of the writing. It looks like the pen is writing out of ink. I guess I'll have to keep trying different pairings. I always appreciate your analysis of how the pens writes and curating your collection. I think sometimes I get distracted by how amazing the swatch of the ink is or what I'm journaling about that day to remember to really evaluate the performance of the pen and nib.

Why is your safari so dark? I have mine in a #3776/ Platinum with a m nib. It is lighter, like the light areas in your swatch 😮…?? I am surprised. I love this diamine ink….
