Thanks! And thanks for the amazing videos in the meantime as I sent my friend the links and it persuaded him to make the journey. We are going to take our time as we have two weeks.
@nils169: Note that Highway 1, just a few miles south of where this video begins, is now closed, due to a landslide that will take a few weeks to repair. You can still drive north, up to where the landslide is located, but you will have to turn back around and drive south for about 140 miles.
So damn beautiful such a undertaking by the men who constructed it ,construction technology wasn’t what it is today can’t imagine how difficult it was too build
Amazing! That last stretch of the route along "Big Sur" is my favorite part. Great photos of the Bixby Bridge in your intro and outro, and you picked a nice song to go along with this stupendous stretch of the PCH. Favorited!
But dont stop in SF. Continue over Golden Gate Bridge thru Stinson Beach, visiting Point Reyes. Then driving north to Bodega Bay thru Tomales Bay. GOTTA TRY SOME BBQ OYSTERS!!! I recommend going up to at least town of Jenner. Its totally worth the few extra miles.
great video thanks. does anyone have a good resource for finding scinic overlook stops? We're taking a trip to SF and plan to make the drive south to Big Sur and back. thx.
I play driving games like NFS, and this section seems exactly like that game, except without the sliding off curves, and hitting traffic at 200 something mph.
@ScrewdUPClickV2 Well that truly sucks. I hope they have it fixed by the summer. I am visiting a friend in San Fran who just purchased a 2008 Mustang Convertible. Driving the whole PCH is on our todo list before marriage and kids. LOL
how many hours did it take you alltogether to drive the 1? I've lived in this state my whole life and I've never done that drive. Shame one me. I know I-5 like the back of my hand though. I know where all the rest stops are too. he he.
i drove this road on vacation from Scotland two years ago .. doing it again in April ..many thanks for the upload .. a wonderful road to drive on .

I can't find the segment "Pacific Coast Highway 6". Dissapointed, as I remember it was on tube some years ago..
very nice

Did you drive the entire length of the PCH?
What do mean by edited? Do you mean you didn't annotate it or you didn't speed it up? Just wondering...
is this road in street view
After Bill Bixby ?
There is now a remastered version of this track up on my chan for anyone interested.
I want to turn around and go south on the 1 for the next 5 hours
