My favorite portrayal of their “relationship” is where the Joker actually doesn’t want to kill Batman, but actually wants to push Batman to the point where he’ll break his code and kill him. @@messiah1915 If youre making a cheeky poke at the Batman Who Laughs, i do agree xD I think if the 'non darkmetal universe' joker knew about the batman who laughs, you'd see a very similar scene as the one in Arkham Knight.
This is actually the very reason why i enjoyed the hulk joker fight at the end of arkham asylum. People always say that Joker wouldnt do it, but i personally think that Joker was banking on Batman giving up the antidote instead of using it on himself. This is even further played on at the end of arkham city's "I would have given you the antidote." and also likely why jokers death weighed so heavily on batman. Because it all stimmed back to the one singular moment where he didnt give joker the antidote in asylum.
I remember a comic where Joker tells Batman that he never wants either of them to win (aka die/give up) because then the game is over. In most Batman/Joker versions, the Joker thrives off Batman. Without Batman, he feels he is nothing. Even in The Dark Knight movie, Ledger’s Joker tells Batman, “Kill you? I don’t want to kill you! No, you complete me.” And in the animated series, Sid the Squid kills Batman by accident, which Batman uses to his advantage, and the Joker is both sad and pissed that Sid killed Batman and tries to kill Sid but Batman saves Sid. “it’s complicated” is a good description of their relationship for sure. Calling their relationship "Co-dependent" is misleading, as Batman is never shown to need the Joker the way the Joker claims he does. At best, the Joker is just one more villain in the rogues gallery to Batman.
Sorry, but I personally think that's not true. Batman has shown that he is just as obsessed with Joker as he is himself and he has also saved his life or prioritized it over the well-being or saving of others.
Well Like Reverse Flash once said "I told you this before I'm always one step ahead, Flash..." or "I BECAME BETTER THAN YOU and I am the one thing you cannot stop, Flash" I say the relationship between The Flash and Reverse Flash is like a War between two gods.
I mean, personally, I can imagine Joker not wanting to kill Batman, but I can’t really imagine him wanting to save him either. Then again, the only versions of Joker I’ve ever seen are Heath Ledger and Jack Nicholson.
You're missing out, Heath just wants Chaos and Jack is essentially a crazed mob boss, compare this to one of the Hamill Jokers, or Injustuce Joker You know what Joker says to Batman after nuking Metropolis to break Superman? I think the games show how joker wants to kill Batman, he wants to Batman into a joker. To go so mentally insane he’s worse than the joker. Yes there’s “The Batman who laughs” but for people like me who can’t read them in person or online the games offer a slightly more “physical” ground to base it on
I think with the online add, I don’t think that joker wanted to kill Batman, I think he wanted to kill death stroke. Because in jokers messed up mind only he and Batman can survive, so that they would only fight, or only the joker can fighter Batman no one else
5:22 I mean, the killing part is one thing, but if you're locking them up, even if it's secret, then I don't see how that's not heroic, considering their lives are still spared.
2:54 That's not Batman TAS, that's TNBA (The new batman adventures, also known as The new adventures of Batman and Robin.) They get mixed up a lot, so I wanted to clarify for anyone who wants to see that episode.
I'm pretty sure The Joker sees his time with Batman as nothing but a game, one he doesn't want to ever end. It always seems that every time he "tries" to kill Batman, it almost seems like he knows Batman will get out of it, except for that Frank Miller comic, The Dark Knight Returns. As you said, he seems to know Batman better, and has an actually hilarious moment in Harley Quinn: The Animated Series, he has Batman right where he wants him, tied up and beaten with his mask off, what is the first thing Joker does? Does he try kill him? No, he demands to know what is going on with WayneTech's new electric car that he legitimately put a deposit on. I guess he had his priorities in order.
Joker: You know Bats... I hate you, yet I respect you. Batman: ..... Joker: Oh don't be like that. It's tradition already. Besides if I were to kill you now. Who will be my arch nemesis? Superman? Wonderwomen? That guy with arrows? None of them has that relationship we have. Popcorn? *Offers Popcorn to a tied up batman.* Batman: I pass. Joker: Suit yourself. You know I enjoy these talks we have. Feel like old buddies doing our usual shenanigans to each other. So same time next week? *Actives his trap, as a bunch of water rushes in the room.* Joker: Hope you survive bata! Toodles!
NeedleMouse: Batman is a hero so he wouldn't lock supervillains in a secret prison Also NeedleMouse: Yeah it's ok Batman severely injures people, they're not dead! PS: No hate towards NeedleMouse intended I just thought it was funny
To the joker and his twisted mind the relationship they share is important, entertaining even. The idea that he can wake up in Arkham again to plan his next crazy scheme excites the joker, the fact that Batman will always be there to fight him delights the joker. He enjoys the battles much to Batman’s dismay and so on multiple occasions when other villains try to intervene and ruin the Batman he will step in purely because he wants the chaos to continue. Most of the destruction in the city is because of Batman so why would he stop Batman now? He would rather let the joke keep going, just long enough before he can deliver the final punchline.
Fun joker fact: in the arkham game sireas, the joker touchered a robon (i think it was dick grayson) and then killed him before he revilde batmans identity(and the joker sent a video of to batman).

I don't think the joker hates Batman I think he's sickly psychotically is in love with him
Batman and Joker in tell-tale Batman they are so close in the game
I think the games show how joker wants to kill Batman, he wants to Batman into a joker. To go so mentally insane he’s worse than the joker. Yes there’s “The Batman who laughs” but for people like me who can’t read them in person or online the games offer a slightly more “physical” ground to base it on
Tricky reviving Hank everytime be like:
I think with the online add, I don’t think that joker wanted to kill Batman, I think he wanted to kill death stroke. Because in jokers messed up mind only he and Batman can survive, so that they would only fight, or only the joker can fighter Batman no one else
5:22 I mean, the killing part is one thing, but if you're locking them up, even if it's secret, then I don't see how that's not heroic, considering their lives are still spared.
2:54 That's not Batman TAS, that's TNBA (The new batman adventures, also known as The new adventures of Batman and Robin.)
They get mixed up a lot, so I wanted to clarify for anyone who wants to see that episode.
Joker will only kill batman only by accident. He only lives to torment batman.
Without Batman
There is no Joker
The joker wants to game to go on forever, so he's a good fallback kind?
Joker survives the animated series as he falls into a smoke funnel
I think The Joker would make a good therapist.
Thank the Omnissiah Needlemouse productions is back
"Joker doesn't want to know who Batman is"
Yeah, because otherwise Joker would demand his goddamn electric car from Bruce.
Popcorn?
*Offers Popcorn to a tied up batman.*
Batman: I pass.
Joker: Suit yourself. You know I enjoy these talks we have. Feel like old buddies doing our usual shenanigans to each other. So same time next week?
*Actives his trap, as a bunch of water rushes in the room.*
Joker: Hope you survive bata! Toodles!
Joker also sees Batman as his BFF
Unrelated but I had no idea Harley Quinn was created in BTAS. Apparently she was supposed to be a one off character too? Holy shit
The whole Harley Quinn freeing herself from Joker kind of rubs me the wrong way. Theyre supposed to be toxic.
Batman is needed for gotham but his death is also the key to cure the joker
NeedleMouse: Batman is a hero so he wouldn't lock supervillains in a secret prison
Also NeedleMouse: Yeah it's ok Batman severely injures people, they're not dead!
PS: No hate towards NeedleMouse intended I just thought it was funny
Joker and batman relationship isn't villain and hero now they just like friends who beat each other.
Without batman joker is just a normal human its like batmans his father he needs batman
10:30 I feel like this scene has some serious meme potential
Oh my god yes it does
😮
To the joker and his twisted mind the relationship they share is important, entertaining even. The idea that he can wake up in Arkham again to plan his next crazy scheme excites the joker, the fact that Batman will always be there to fight him delights the joker. He enjoys the battles much to Batman’s dismay and so on multiple occasions when other villains try to intervene and ruin the Batman he will step in purely because he wants the chaos to continue. Most of the destruction in the city is because of Batman so why would he stop Batman now? He would rather let the joke keep going, just long enough before he can deliver the final punchline.
i loved batman the brave and the bold it was my favourite show when i was a kid its sad that they removed it from television after some time :(
Man joker is like no teaming
7:10 seems like an obsession of the joker is just to keep fighting batman
Please do this: Every time the Joker has killed a Justice League member, or gave them a fate worse than death
Joker doesn’t wanna kill Batman. What would he do without him? Go back to rippin off mob dealers? No. Batman completes the joker.
(Who gets it?)
Fun joker fact: in the arkham game sireas, the joker touchered a robon (i think it was dick grayson) and then killed him before he revilde batmans identity(and the joker sent a video of to batman).
you need to do “10 things that need to happen in young justice season 4” fr please
