I inherited this sewing machine a couple of years ago and am now getting into sewing. Thank you so much for uploading this. I love this machine and wouldn't want to replace it!
Thank you! I feel as though I've found the answer to all my life's questions! I've been struggling to figure out the manual forever. This is SO helpful!
yaay Pfaff thank you for uploading this video, so helpful! I have this machine and I love it's design and abilities! It is the only machine on the market that allows one to address the direction the material is fed through and the direction the straight stitch goes. I wish, however, that you allowed the stitch length to be enlarged in this setting - it's not, sadly; just teeny tiny stitches...
I'm not sure I follow you. Which stitch are you referring to? This is only a fan channel by the way -- not an official Pfaff channel. Pfaff has changed ownership multiple times over the past few decades and no longer acknowledges these older models.
I have had this machine for 30 years. It has been a dream for me, it was SO far ahead of the curve back then, and still can’t be beat. Watching this I learned things about my machine that I didn’t know! One question for you, is there any way to change the foot pressure?
No, you can't, and it should never be an issue. If you are having pressure issues, then there is something wrong; which is almost always old grease that has hardened and prevents the foot from moving up and down as it should, sometimes even getting stuck in one position. If you have a Facebook, look for the group Pfaff 1471-2170 and join it. Then see the post pinned to the top which have instructions that I have created to fix this issue. It's very simple to fix.
Love your channel! So happy that I found it! BTW, I have an old Martha Pullen VHS tape demonstrating heirloom techniques on a 7570. I think that I have a way to transfer it to a DVD and I can send it to you, if you are interested.
I want to Buy It !!! Rigth AWAY Im from México. I need info. Extremely good conditions. Yes i want to metálico therad. This one Is good to do It Easy. I want It 🎀
They SO NOT read the Prompter in front of them😂😂😂Even the home done UA-camrs from today seem more relaxed on their Videos.. lol. Great to watch it though!
Where is the fuse located? My machine lamp lights up but the machine doesn’t run. The manual says the fuse is defective but does not appear to have accurate information about where the fuse is located.
US models don't have a removeable fuse. There are a few slow blow fuses mounted to the circuit board near the power transformer. They must be desoldered, removed, and replaced with new ones.
It's likely due to hardened grease in the pressure foot spring. If you have a Facebook, look for the group Pfaff 1471-2170 and join it. Then see the post pinned to the top which have instructions that I have created to fix this issue. It's very simple to fix.
I need help in desingaging my wheel to wind the bobbin I have looked in my manual and watched this video I can’t get it to lock my needle is continuing to move up in down can you please help thanks enjoy your day god bless tracy
@@PfaffPfantom I think this is a common problem with these machines. My 1473 just needed to be serviced and lubricated in that area so it would disengage properly.

@@PfaffPfantom but Pfaff has made so many nice feet for different functions. And not all of them are listed in this manual. For example I only learned very recently that when the pin tuck foot is used I need to install twin needles to get it work. I got the foot as a gift. So if there is some info about the older models that would be great. Pfaff makes such good quality machines and they last very long and pass through so many people over so long period of time.

Delightful! Reminds me of more simple times when these things were state-of-the-art. The "wow" factor helped to sell these machines.
