Mr. Sam Lenz, this video is Vincey V level of technical explanation, and I love it. I'm glad he sent me your way. It would be cool to see you paint some of the new Seraphon. It would be interesting to see how you approach it, and fun to try and replicate. You rock, brother!
The paint is absolutely immaculate dude.... that subtle dark outline around the horn against the light background dude it looks like it's superimposed over another image it just doesn't even look real, it's so good.....
Great explanations in this video Sam. I loved seeing your entry in person, deserved the best in category award. I managed to snag a bronze in the duel category (Toad vs Beast), lots of techniques in your video that I need to improve on
Hey Sam, long time listener first time caller. Awesome video - I really appreciate the long-form nature of it, especially on such a relatively simple model where you can go into great detail and reiterate on the fundamentals with the three main ‘materials’: his hide, face, and horns. Heaps of models have at least one of these things, so seeing your process on these is super applicable beyond just this guy. Would love some more stuff where you can explore other materials like this. Watching you has been a treat mate, keep it up.
it's beyond words that you can take a character as basic as rhino and bring him to life and make him interesting. He has no awesome gadgets, no shiny OSL, and not even an animal people give much thought to. The texture you brought out and the introduction of subtle colors to the gray suit was genius. Super awesome fixing what could easily be a mono-color mini. Awesome job!! 😁
Is this Rhino mini from MCP? Damn nice job regardless. You are doing a Spider-Man to finish this one up, yes ???? Or better yet......The Sinister Six !!!! Do it man, do it !!! \M/
Bit of a random question, but what kind of putty do you use when you temporarily sticking a model to something? I've tried a few and they leave a lot of residue. thanks for another insightful video!
Gummy man web. Lol i actually laughed out loud at your reaction to having said that. Gold man. Gold.
Haha, sometimes I walk into an innuendo, blind to it myself untiil after it happens 😅 Cheers!
Rhino's Ramming Rod 🤣
Love the way this mini turned out. The Foes line-up is pretty great for this game.
Great work as always 👍👍
I loved this model so glad it got the love it deserved!
Awesome how you manage to make the gray look interesting.
Hell yeah, awesome video.

Thanks so much! I'm at Vinces house right now, coincidentally. Part 2 is up next week!
Hell yes, brother! Have fun at Vinceycon!

Congratulations! I remember that one :) I'm thinking Rogue vs a Sentinel for next year.

Heh, Glad you enjoyed it
Just a bigger fan of the genetic variation when it comes to Spidey foes. Well done sir.
Thank you kindly, cheers!

Artificer level...and always relaxing to watch (with a hint of envy ;) )
Haha, cheers man!
A nice, djentle approach.
Huzzah. Incredible shades. Texture bound for sure.

Yup, it is! I painted it as a single for the Worthy comp at Adepticon in March.
My go to channel. Great work man!
An unexpected subject. Can't wait for part two.
Love it!
Have fun at vincy con :)
Yeah buddy!
✨the soup of the face✨
🤡
"Its the double set of eyes that throws me off"
😅 Is it a man in a suit or a Rhino eating a man!?
Thanks Sam
Cheers, Chuck!
Interesting that you use the backside of your brush for mixing paints. Never thought about that. I'll shamelessly copy it. Mwahaha

Ace Ventura, Soup Faced Detective
😅😅😅
undergang played the local metal festival, they really manage to sound like slime and filth is flowing from the amplifiers
Everytime I see your airbrush..... I wonder how mine is clogged all the time.
Rhino was my favourite Top Trumps card.
Unchained 😎
Looks like the big bad at the end of Conan the Destroyer...the one that gets it's horn ripped off.
Yeah ! Dagoth !
