Those rocks really make this place very special. Seeing the hiking route prompts me to caution everyone to watch where you step. Falling from one of those rocky bluffs could truly be catastrophic. Best to hike with a friend or two, and with a cell phone in case anyone has an accident. But definitely worth a visit! By the way... has anyone ever seen a snake in among those rocks? Don't snakes love cool spots like that?
My dad was working for bell helicopter in the 70s. I have canoed that little lake. It was pretty back then. I didn't realize that it even had hiking trails. Thank you.
It looks interesting. Sadly north Texas is not really know for a lot of good hiking areas. Many areas are barren and look a nuke went off and killed everything. So fing good new spots is great
Lake Mineral Wells is one of my favorite parks.

Truly beautiful, not what people might think of N. Texas! (Meters?)
Great video, nice job 👍
Another enjoyable video. I wish you had pointed your camera down that structure at 1:55. I guess that was a fishing pier.
A very beautiful hike, thanks for taking us along.
I live just a few miles from there but haven't been there in years. Very nice.
Great stuff as always.

I love close by in Weatherford. This is my favorite state park and my most frequently visited!
Can't wait for the Baker hotel to open.
Me too !!!!
Adding this one to my list!
Amazing paths. Best cure for life's daily stress.
Cool rocks!
I would have to loose weight or get stuck between boulders! Lol. Thanks awesome!
Have you videoed Palo Pinto State Park?. They have developed it a lot since 2015.
Looks like a good place to find rattlesnakes!
?????? Did anybody see the face and the boulder at 555 near the end of the video
That looks really narrow 😢 what if I don’t fit
Are Dogs allowed?
Also why is it called penitentiary hollow
I lived in the Min. Wells area for about 10 yrs. The only thing I ever found wrong with it was the city itself, drugs , crime, lack of intelligence.
Go to Dallas for a real treat
@@tashalynn29 so true. I especially love the camps under all the bridges that just seemed to be overlooked...
@@dawg7915 lol. You are probably the only one who caught my sarcasm.
I didn't notice any graffiti. What happened?
