The setting of Origins was such a good idea for a map. The muddy trenches of WW1 are so kinda ominous on their own the only problem I have and it’s not a big problem is that I wish there was more WW1 weapons than the C96 and MG 08/18

Bro tell me why all Zombies Easter eggs for the story are so fuckin weirdly esoteric with what you need to do? It's like, "Yeah you need to go get the secret 9000 puff vape from Agartha and spin around 4 times while you have JFKs left femur in your mouth and then you're teleported to Uwagadushu to free Osama Bin Ladens 5th cousin." And everyone's like bro that fucking insane that makes so much sense cause in Black Ops 2 you're a frog man named Bobbert.
This is actually a good question. At first I’m sure it was logistics. World at War was still in the CoD era where campaign was the main attraction, and multiplayer was gaining some serious traction thanks to Modern Warfare the year before. Treyarch didn’t think of doing anything with the zombies mode outside having it be dumb arcade fun. Wasn’t until around Shi No, a little during Verruckt that they realized there was a serious possibility of having a story for the zombies mode that people would actually digest. But given the budget they went for a more esoteric approach, which I think is one of the major reasons the story unfolded into the cosmic mess it becomes by the end of BO3 for better or worse.
I think by BO2, it was a combination of tradition to have the Easter eggs be complex and sometimes arbitrary, while also just being plain fun at times tbh. Maps like MoTD and Origins really are a lot of fun to try and complete, and for the most part that’s how they ran with it.
I would not be surprised at all if Jason Blundell was a huge fan of Fromsoft games when he was in charge of Zombies.

i think there is a higher cpm? but its not like a 1 to 1 ratio where a 1 minute video makes 1/60th of an hour length video with the same views
