Which band could've not just come up with that sound, let alone start singing "I'm a na zi, baby and I fight for the fatherland" ? (sung by a jewish guy) Only the fucking RAMONES that's who!!

Today Germany, Tomorrow the World,” is more closely belongs to a song from the Hitler Youth Song book. actually seems to have come from the chorus of a Hitler youth songbook: Es Zittern die Morschen Knochen [The Mouldy/Old Bones are Shaking] by Hans Baumann Wir Werden weiter marschieren Wenn alles in Scherben fält Denn heute gëhort uns Deutschland Und morgen die ganze Welt Translation: We shall keep marching on Even if everything breaks into fragments, For today Germany belongs to us And tomorrow the whole world. Ha, they weren't Nazis. Notably, their singer here is Jewish, even. This song is more so a clever way of Dee Dee (the bass player) lamenting about being bullied. He was bullied as a little boy living in Berlin Germany, then bullied/teased and called a "Nazi" by other kids when he moved to the US, if I'm not mistaken. Obviously, they knew they were writing a song that was going to sound edgy though... lol. There's a lot more sensitivity in the culture today about proclaiming yourself a Nazi than in 1975, considering people will take you completely seriously today. Dee Dee Ramone described the early albums as "very tongue in cheek", Johnny Ramone said they'd write the songs and laugh. The two of them also just liked war movies and military themes. It looks pretty extreme in retrospect, but I think this song gets read into the wrong direction. It's about a little German boy, being pushed around...

And right there, is why Ramones are the all-time greatest band, who saved rock n roll.
A Jew singing “I’m a Nazi” is epic
Dee Dee sings: “eins, zwei, drei, vier“ or 1, 2, 3, 4 in German...
I love this so much! Incredible sound with a massive attack from that guitar & bass. I love The Ramones

The lofi sound really beings out their raw power. Man this is aggressive for it's time
