to minimize getting dirty , rotate tat blue cap and secure it under the driver side hood "arm " , this way you can use both hands to handle the jug

Also if you don't want to awkwardly hold that blue cap with one hand, you can rip off the whole blue cap and its ring from there. Then after you're done filling, snap it back on easily. Make sure you don't lose it though ;)
