I think this one has potential to be a multiple part series, I'd like to bring in Marianna and maybe the horrible boss and create some super dramatic story with you getting captured and having to be rescued maybe🤔

What do you guys think of the whole having phone call instead of talking to you directly situation here?
I've read very often recently that quite a few people enjoy asmr videos where they're not necessarily the center of attention the whole time. I personally love videos like that too, especially when someone's studying or working on something while talking to themselves a bit. This way I don't get distracted by what they're saying and I can focus more on whatever it is I'm working on while watching it.
I'd love to know your thoughts on that 🤔
I like it, it's refreshing to not always be the center of the attention. It can give brain a breather.

I think it was a really nice touch, personally. I'm pretty flexible about my preferences though, so direct attention or not, I think I'd enjoy it either way.
Also, I like to imagine that I'm something with tentacles and at least dog-like intelligence in this video (I wrote this part of the comment only a few minutes into the vid, lol). I love oceanography and marine biology, so I love the whole concept and execution too!
I love the indirect approach! For me, the sense of observing/listening to someone else's quiet moment can make the tingles even better

As a marine biologist I can confirm we have unknown species every other Wednesday, but it is normally suckable uppable with a pipette. We also have no AI, we have a fearless lab technician called Terry

Hi I'm gigi and I'm a mermaid!! I have long, silken hair the color of seaweed, and my tail is super long and pretty with lots of colors and frills that look so pretty in the water! I also have long, pretty nails that are blue and green and shimmery!! They match the scales on my face, but even my nails aren't as long as the dozens of pearly whites sticking out from my gaping maw, which looks like a sparkly sandworm's mouth covered in scales!!

When she did the slow blinks at the beginning to "give us an opportunity to attack her" it reminded me of how I treat my neighbour's abomination of a cat whenever I have to feed it, then she said she was doing that because it's what works with cats and just... yes. I feel that.

**Species Report**
A humanoid fish creature with unnaturally long limbs and a pastel blue skin-tone that fades into black gloves along the extremities with deep purple tiger-esque stripes. Its "ears" resemble a fish fin with three distinct sections that pull back along its head, though its unknown if they function for hearing as our ears do as of now. The creature sports both skin and scales along its extremely humanoid torso and limbs, and a pair of very large yellow eyes with a turquoise sclarea positioned at an upwards angle. Size estimates are currently 2 to 2.5 meters until a proper measurement can be made. It seems to rely on oxygen from the surface rather than any gills, similar to whales or dolphins.
Intelligenence levels are currently unknown, but the creature displays noticeable curiosity and a level of tolerance one would not expect from a typical feral animal which hints at more advanced learning capabilities. It was first spotted out on beaches by tourists, leading me to believe its been displaced from either its family or natural habitat, perhaps both. I hope we can figure out where this creature belongs and return it to its home very soon.

I really loved the sound effect in the very beginning, where the sounds weren't as "clear" starting at 0:00. It really sounded as if we were underwater and gave me major tingles. I would love a whole video with that sound effect on

10/10 asmr, totally invested in the eventual bond between biologist and the creature and the subtext of the romantic tension between biologist and mariana
I was vibing with the idea of me being a big, fat, unknown fish, but a humanoid creature is cool too i guess.
I assumed it was some sort of mermaid at first, but I was still stubbornly pretending to be something like Undyne from Undertale.
Then it just got better and better.
1. It's blue
2. Long limbs
3. Legs, not a tail
4. Yellow eyes
5. Finned ears
None of the rest makes sense but I was still enjoying my half-asleep RP. I'm leaving this comment at 3 a.m. in my excitement and it probably makes no sense, but thanks anyway, into the ASMR favorites Playlist it goes 👍

We like how she doesn't understand what water level we live in/at. Like we could live by reefs, shallow areas, somewhat deep areas, or like *deep* and dark. Like we could have a body that looks frail but we live in a really pressurised level or an armoured body in a reef area or the opposite. We could be bright coloured and live in the dark, dark coloured and live in light areas or neutral.

I’m normally not a huge fan or her videos due to my not being into magic, mythology and things similar to that or in that realm, but I do enjoy her when she makes videos I find interesting which this is one of. Also I think it’s the first ever video that’s been a “obsessed with you video” that I didn’t hate. The phone call idea was genius and actually made me enjoy it. I wish there more videos of us being, like a quiet observer. Living lurkers.
