Love your interpretations but the song dates from 1975, well before the AIDS epidemic. Apparently the lyrics were personal to him but he never made the meaning clear. Powerful in any case. Great channel!
That goes without saying…
So I was misinformed on the whole concept of the song and I saw it twice I’m hurt!!
@@MrVideo123 Some people say it's about him comin' out as gay, but I'm still not sure thou it matches the lyrics.
@@MrVideo123 i thought the same thing until I watched the movie, guess we're both idiots.
Actually this was 3 songs he was writing then he decided to put the 3 song into one this is finished results
“This ain’t no ordinary white-boy classic rock song. He took his time & constructed this joint”
The way you worded that... it’s brilliant
Greatest "QUOTE" ever! 😂
Maybe it's Freddie's Parsi-Indian heritage.
lol that was a good one
Amazing how closed minded and casually raycist blatts are against whytes.
And he's not even white. He's closer to being Indian.
Freddie’s favorite instrument to play? “The audience, darling!”
Such a legend, gone way too soon.
Love it, so true.
Freddie never sold his soul either. He was always true to himself. He did what Freddie wanted to do.
You can’t know for sure though
Oh yes he did.
Oh he did. He had a phase where he hung out with real shit people in Germany instead of his band members
@R Lu , nice mouth 👍🏻
He sold his soul to K'barbagg 'the Plutonion Menace' Johnson. Also known as 'oh my God i think the government is spying on me through the devices implanted underneath my skin. I'm getting my razor blade." Lawrence.
You two headbanging on the couch is giving me "Wayne's World" and "Beavis and Butthead" flashbacks!!!! LMAO
how could it be anything BUT Wayne's World with this song lol this song is the Wayne's World anthem :D
Exactly!
Nice.
Totally Wayne's World.
TRUER WORDS HAVEN'T BEEN SPOKEN
❤❤❤ FREDDY !
Freddie put this together..... all of it. Freddie wrote the song. Freddie created the video.... all of it.... the look of it, the harmonies, the special effects. It was all Freddie's creation...... He was a genius. And.... best vocalist ever..... R.I.P. Freddie....
Leo singing the words to Bohemian Rhapsody is everything!
Yes!! I want to know what other songs he's learned by heart in the past year.
Makes me play-Auntie proud!
Priceless! It warmed my heart.❤
😃❤️...brings back memories of us as youngsters singing every word when it came out lol.
Seriously. Watching him sing along and rock out to it gave me the laugh I needed all day. His excitement is contagious!
Guys, I have tears streaming down my face here. I've been a nurse for years and I just saw in this song the 5 stages of dying. You put me on to thinking about it. Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and finally Acceptance..When Freddy says "nothing really matters to me", I freaking lost it. Best reaction to this song..ever..Thank you Leo and Sonny for this. Amazing.
However, Freddy wasn't singing about his impending death. That came in the late 80s to 1991
Freddie didn't have AIDS when this song was written. However, when he did find out he had AIDS 15 years later, Queen wrote a few song called " who wants to live forever" and "The show must go on"
The guy on guitar is Brian May. He has a doctorate in astrophysics and contributed to NASA's New Horizons space probe. Pretty talented guy too.
Also he built his own guitar with his father
Yea.... Slightly talented lol
And an author on classical 3D devil art.
Brian May wrote the Bohemian Rhapsody guitar solo
He also BUILT that guitar he's playing. 😁💕
In my opinion, greatest song ever written, arranged and delivered of all time. Freddie was one in a zillion.
Freddy the man was shy , Freddy wrote and scored this song. It's not aids it's life. Pain. anger, loss, regret, finding love, all the ups and downs of life ! Freddy is the voice and showman of which the likes we will never see again. Queen is timeless ! RIP We love you !
Two pretty sharp young Black men sitting on a couch, smoking and vibing to Queen. I fucking LOVE it!
Your evolution is complete. You now know every word of Bohemian Rhapsody and we could just throw you up on screen as the fifth member of the acapella section. Awesome! ⚡️⚡️⚡️
I think I fell in love...
That's hilarious! Thanks for the laugh!
I'd love to see that!🎶
Well said
This song was released in 1975. Freddie didn't get diagnosed with Aids until about 1987.
And he didn’t let anybody know about it till almost the day he died 🇨🇦✌🏻🇨🇦
It was NEVER about AIDS. It was completely about Freddie coming out as gay to his mother. It’s not rocket science you know.
@@Dervanism He let The band and His inner circle know.He issued a press release hours before He passed.
@@Xcorgi Freddie wasn't gay. He was bi, and said so often. It was his coming out song of sorts but he was coming out as "not straight". He often said he loved men and women "I love everyone darling "
‘85, he knew before Live Aid.
No matter who, what, when, where, or age, everyone becomes a headbanger on that transition! Love it!
Freddie never did reveal exactly what it meant to him. He wanted people to find their own meaning in it. They have, and it’s spanned generations, never getting old. There’s a new message, over and over. Bohemian Rhapsody is timeless.
I agree. Freddie never did reveal exactly what this song was about. This was definitely written and recorded..long before the AIDS crisis.
He wanted to create a Rock Opera.
Music producers didn't really understand the band's vision..at the time. It almost never got recorded.
That's why it is re-released every decade since 1975. 75' 1st released, 85, 2nd; 95, 3rd; 1005 4th; 1015 5th; 1020 6th;
"This ain't no regular white people rock song" LMAO so true!
That got me laughing out loud when he said it. SMH
Quote of the decade!! 😂
Such a raw reaction. Never thought of it being a white song.. just a brilliant song. Loved it!
Side note, Freddie Mercury’s real name is Farrokh Bulsara. So not exactly white per say.
I laughed out loud cause he is so right!! 😂😂😂
Leo, you clearly know every word, which means you've been listening to this song in your spare time. Would you please do a compilation video of your favourite songs you've learned in the past year? I'm sure all your subscribers want to know which songs have made it to your private play list. Please?
Yes. I'm curious to know if this has affected the way you listen to music when you're not entertaining us. I'd also be interested in hearing music you love and have you share it with us and tell us why it gives you chills.
Excellent idea! Please Leo!
YES!!!!
Great idea!
I'd love to see that!

Why would he sing these lyrics.
The facts are there.
So brave he was.

@@KS-ok4ym Freddie Mercury didn't come out until December 1976. This song came out in 1975.
This song is before the AIDS crisis. But the fact that it spoke to both of you is a testament to the power of damn good music and shared experiences!
When they start head banging I instantly thought of Waynes world.
Bohemian Rhaposdy is basically 3 songs that he wanted to record and he decided to put them into one song. I just recently read that somewhere. But, as many commenters stated already, this was written and released at least a decade prior to his contracting Aides.
Also, Freddie created the entire thing in his own mind. He presented it to the other band members
It is awesome how @MrVideo went from never learning of Queen to now he knows the lyrics by heart savoring every note like an aged bourbon and is sharing it with others! This is how Freddie Mercury will live forever. Happy to be on the journey with you bro!!
For some reason I am feeling so proud of Leo for knowing the words to this song! EDIT - the reaction when the rock part dropped was more than I could have hoped for lol. Wayne's World vibes for real!!
it was like a mirror image and made me soooo happy
Wayne's World for sure 😃
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Guys seriously, how do we get him to react to that scene in the movie? HE WOULD LOVE IT.
Oh my gosh guys he's fully converted now, he has been baptized in the righteous ways of rock and now he's spreading the good word to his brothers 🤣 Seriously I love you man you're a kindred spirit, I'm exactly like you when I listen to this song ❤️🤘
Freddy (sadly) died from AIDS many years after this song was popular. RIP the King of Rock 🤴🏻
*BR was dropped in 1975. Freddy was diagnosed in 1987, and actually hid his illness from the world until the last days of his life in 1991.
@Oz Lang wow no sh*t???
More accurately...the Queen of rock
@@pastorofmuppets22 Ahhh...yes!
I love the fact that a whole new generation is now discovering the magic of Queen and the legend that is Freddie
No One in QUEEN Ever Sold Their Souls. Pure 500% Talent. FREDDIE MERCURY, ROGER TAYLOR, BRIAN MAY, AND JOHN DEACON.
Every single one of them are amazing.
no formula, always did the music they wanted, they expermented alot.
How do you know? Do your think he would broadcast it ? It's a dark world in the entertainment world . Very dark. I been there
They don't need to sell their souls .. I have respect most of the band members, including Brian May who's an Astrophysist..
Brian May and Roger Taylor are still in Queen, with another guy to replace John Deacon who was invited but didn't want to be public anymore. They have toured and done Las Vegas with Adam Lambert as their new front man now to replace Freddie. Adam does his own thing, but also has a great voice.
Life has come full circle.... I am reacting to someone that is reacting to someone else reacting to Bohemian Rhapsody. I'm glad I'm high as I am to fully appreciate all that reacting.

I love ❤️ how much you like Queen and explaining to your big brother how great Freddie was. Love 💕 it!!!
Fat Bottom Girls by Queen would be funny after something so heavy.

I love that song!
Big Bottom
YES!!! Fat Bottom Girls is an AWESOME song!!! Definitely a must!!!
Angelina’s rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody and the show must go on a totally incredible. Nobody has covered them as well as this girl.
Freddie reminds me of that old saying, "Don't try to be everyone else try to be the best you."
I was 14 when this song came out in 1975 it touch my heart than IAM now 60 it still touch my heart today. great band. Queen forever!
This is what it was like being a 70s brat back in 1975
I loved how this straight up turned into the Wayne’s world scene!! 😂😂😂 this song just does that to people. Epic.
😅😆🤣🤪😜
It's actually a little chilling now, as he didn't have AIDS when he wrote this, so it's prophetic almost. Thank you for your love of great music.
It's nothing to do with him this song lmao people just assume that
The metaphor behind the man he killed was about him killing his old persona, his mask. This song was Freddie coming out. Its a story of his rebirth.
Although its open to interpretation what its actually about, the AIDS theory was debunked by Freddy himself. My take: It's more of an opera performance of a story like "The Outsiders". A story of a poor boy who fell in love with a girl out of his socioeconomic status, got attacked by the rich boys who were after the same girl, killed one of them in self defense and had to go into hiding
@@jimmyjennings5343 ooh, that's a good one. Never heard of that. I like it
I agree, yes it was pre AIDS but that's exactly why Juliana H is describing it as prophetic.....!!
The best explanation of this song that I heard is that this was Freddy admitting he was gay and saying goodbye to pretending and to just be happy and not give a damn about what anyone else thought. He was free to come out of the 'closet' and participate in life..
That was my interpretation, too. The gun being a phallic symbol and so on. Brilliant and powerful song
That's how I've always heard it too. What a powerful song.
Freddie never officially came out as gay which is great for a listener because interpretation keeps this song amazing
@@lastfirst5689 officially?

Never tire of Freddie...nice to see your Big Brother and hear his insight on the Rhapsody. ☮💜
Further proof of this song and Freddies greatness is the video of the Greenday crowd singing this song note for note all the way through four or so years ago. You show him THAT video and you will better understand the POWER of music to unite, heal, inspire and awe!
Was just thinking this and about to say so when I came upon your comment! That video is AMAZING!!!!
I was in that crowd! Green Day, Hyde Park, 2017. It was a magical moment. If you can't sing every word to Bo Rhap (including the guitar solos), are you even British?
You know his brother never saw waynes world and his headbanging just naturally came in. Awesome
I must admit Sonny surprised me, I think it’s the first time he showed real emotion watching a video. Great job guys!!!! 💯
The way you introduced the song and artist to your brother was like art itself 🤩🤣

Green Day is the opener for Queen!
Leo good for showing him Freddie everyone should know Freddie.
I don't think Freddie ever sold his soul. For good or bad, he died the same way he lived and never compromised his artistic integrity.
Amen
Freddie did what he wanted from his heart. He was a sophisticated educated artist and was so deep. I agree that some sell their souls. That's what made Mercury amazing he only did what he felt was great art/music.
a sign that they did sell their soul is when they die the casket is carried on the shoulders of the pall bearers. His was. It could be bull, but even Whitney was carried that way. It changes a person, look at what is coming out today, they all sold their soul. Deep down I pray they didnt, but deep down I kind of know they did.

Bohemian Rhapsody is one of, if not the, best songs ever written. And it goes without saying Freddie Mercury had a phenomenal voice and knew how to command the stage. 💜💙
You should show him the Live Aid performance!
Dude, you have to react to "The show must go on" by Queen, is on another level.
It was the last song that Freddie recorded with the band before he dies. And as a fact, the band was worried by the high notes on the song and if Freddie could record it by the health state of him.
Freddie looks at the band, takes some vodka's slurps and he recorded the whole song on the first fricking take man.
Good video as always, cheers from Chile dude.

I doubt they purposely lied. Maybe they were given the wrong info.
True. This was there first hit....Freddy died yrs later.

That song sounds so good but at the same time it's so hard to get through because of how it "feels".
You beat on your chest the house shook lmao you guys got me dying today.
I'm in love with your brother. He was so pensive, listening to every word.
This song was about his realisation that he was gay and in a sense his coming out to himself, which in the 1970's was still a social 'death sentence' ('I just killed a man'). In a sense there are two 'deaths' he sung about. The second (AIDS) was 'The Show Must Go On', much later.
I'm sure I've heard this song at least a thousand times, goosebumps every time!
