- Paper wasps have the remarkable ability to choose if a larva grows up to be a worker or a ‘gyne’-a primary reproductive female. They do this by drumming on the walls of the cell where the larva is incubating.

When I see wasps, I get a can of wasp killer and get rid of them immediately!
They eat many garden pests like caterpillars so you are mostly hurting yourself and the environment.
