His honesty makes this interview amazing. Not trying to talk up the experience in some bullshit way, just telling how it is

So interesting to hear all these different stories. Some people just seem to thrive on the environment in jail and blend into it easily. Also seems like some people miss it which makes total sense to miss something that has been such a big part of your life but hard to fathom missing a place like prison as someone that has never been incarcerated.

My stepfather treated me differently than my brother, and I felt it since I was 6. So as a grew older, I got angrier and more disinterested in making him happy. I ended up criminal and doing lots of time in different states and counties. I throw the finger at his morals because his morals were not present while being a drunk asshole dad. So in my mind it's fuck you. Fast forward, I have my 9wn company, a son, and I'm killing it financially, and as a dad. He starts to realize he may have been wrong and seen me doing well finally. He may have been a cause. Then he gets cancer and 2 weeks later he dies and that starts a whole series of deaths of men in my family. I have 2 cousins and 2 uncles left. A couple best friends too. So it's easy hate someone. It's draining but easy. It's hard to lice the person you used to hate that you never got to say that to. So my son is seeing a person who is everything I can be for him but he has no clue why. SECOND CHANCES

When Colin talked about his dad passing away when he got home hit me man. My father passed away 2 weeks after I was locked up. Then my step father passed away 2 months after I got to prison. Definitely a tough thing to deal with after fixing our relationship that had so many problems for so many years
