@@havoc2859 She literally transformed TWO leagues in one season. Broke the54 yr old NCAA scoring record and 62 WNBA records as a rookie. What she accomplished OFF the court was even more mind blowing in terms of viewership, gate receipts, merch sales. She single handedly changed the perception and future trajectory of women's sports. Only real competition would be the Japanese Pete Rose and even without the off-field baggage he is a distant second.

In my life I can't remember a season like this one where a player had to endure so many difficulties, while carrying such a heavy weight on their shoulder, and at the age of 22 yrs young too. I question myself, could I have done the same things at the same age. If I am being honest with myself, no. Her achievements exceeded expectations, her enthusiasm for basketball was contagious, her drive to succeed was admirable. At the age of 8, she was asked what she wanted to do when she grew up. She wrote down 'I want to play in the WNBA!'. Her parents can show you the prove of this declaration. She put in the work and accomplished her dream. This is not the time to scrutinize her under a microscope, but to continue to support her. I think her destiny will transcend basketball. Let's back her up and see what happens. A young adult of her character should never be squelched. Think about that people.

There have been great woman athletes, but not since the 1940's when Babe Zaharis went from an Olympic medal track star to an LPGA tour winner have seen such transcendence. You are so right, take it all in and appreciate what we are witnessing. A rookie winning Athlete of the Year is mystifying. Thank you.

CC is as eloquent as she has always been and has reached her current status through sheer hard work and prestigious talent. I have loved watching CCs games from Dowling, Hawkeyes and now the Fever and she thoroughly deserves all the praise she has received so far. There's so much more for her to go and I am 100% behind her on that journey. I think she was drawn into the raise black women up comment because she's avoided any such comments thus far and on balance she misstepped on the white privilege nonsense. I also love Megyn for her journalistic approach and kind of agree that CC shouldn't have said this because it's simply not true. The WNBA is a black-focused league and many black players were encouraged by the likes of Diana Taurasi, Sheryl Swoopes and Teresa Weatherspoon to hate the CC effect and they mobilised the black players to hate on CC, and even assault her which was absolutely not what should have happened. In addition, the WNBA and officials deliberately didn't give CC the fouls she deserved and even awarded fouls against her unfairly.

The best way for Catilin Clark to uplift and empower everyone, is to continue to be a class act that can Ball Out and set records!!! Her actions are her platform, not what she says in front of a camera. She needs to continue to keep the answers, to questions, very basic and keep it moving. Please don't be a voicebox, be a playmaker!!!! That will uplift everyone . . . even the league that won't uplift her.

I didn’t like the privilege statement but I’m not her, I have walked in her shoes or wnba player shoes. Prior to this video interview I I still held CC in high regard on and off the court. This video to me certainly gave a much better image of her perspective on that controversial subject than the article. In video better than written word as nobody can twist your words. Even if she said here what she said in her article is still respect her. She is a humanitarian, leads by example with passion, kindness and intelligence.
