- After uploading my Top 5 Most Evil Yautja video, I was asked if I could make one that focused on the most heroic of the species… well here it is.

Alpha earned the number one spot indeed, and yes many many fans love Broken Tusk who was the inspiration for Scar in the AVP movie.

Although I wish Scarface could have gotten on the list, I have to agree with your five choices, especially with Alpha being most heroic.
Ahab the Predator vs an engineer from Prometheus is an amazing encounter. Scar the noble Predator vs the Xenomorph Queen is a very cool encounter. The Wolf Predator vs the multiple Xenomorph Aliens is such a great battle of science fiction ever, especially with the Predalien. Broken Tusk the fearless Predator vs the hordes of Xenomorph Aliens is so intensely cool as well. The Alpha Predator vs the Amengi Aliens is something new to experience, especially if there’s gonna be a new film about them. With these heroic alien hunters, they are real inspirational legends.

Same. You not the first guy I have agreed with on that one 100%. Imagined it myself since like 89' when I first started reading the Darkhorse comics. Thinking that would of been ,could of been the next best cool evolutionary step in the Predator movies long ago. Like as early as 1990/91/92 once some solid agreed upon creator content had been made lore tween the comics and book writers before Predator 2?..It would be such a breath of new life into the movie saga ( setting up old established and some new related canon? ), a fresh new and interesting angle. Able to dig deep into the Yautja culture ,clan customs/tradition , daily life of the species . Finally get a look at a female Yautja and their roles in their society on screen?? I mean the possibilities are almost endless yeah?? . And maybe even a cool Yautja history lesson at same time, for the masses of uninitiated casual fans..if the plot is written well?? And finally give us a proper look at Yautja Prime on-screen in all its glory . Of course we would need subtitles for when the Yautja interact - communicate. Some of their vocal clicks, low growls etc, could be made canon as clan, or sub species dialect ,or could have a canon universal Yautja dialect made more apparent? Gotta be some Yautja fan boys that would jump on that to make it for movie producers right? ...If only Hollywood producers had the insight, balls and imagination to see how that would break the some what stale mold that is becoming the Predator franchise. As good as Prey looks ( have not seen it all yet). The franchise needs to break out of the old "Preds come to earth and hunt humans again" and this is what happens, formula .. its becoming the ' death star' of the Predator franchise yes?
Ps. Schizofenik. Nice job. You got a real passion for the Yautja culture and it comes through in your work. Your knowledge is great. Your reasoning is good when comes to your top 5's ,watched a few now. My knowledge needed some updating here n there . But yeah totally agree with the placements on your list.

i would say an honourable mention personally, would be the fugitive from the 2018 movie, he came to earth to stop a bad blood knowing he can't win a direct confrontation and saw that humans were his only chance at completing his mission, even going as far as trying to convince the movie's protag to help him, hell even after he dies he lets the humans have the predator killer, as way to protect themselves from future bad bloods
Get what you are saying. But that movie is such a cluster fuck of bullshit on so many levels. Is an embarrassment in the franchise . And even mainstream public and Hollywood gets its not Predator canon by now. The more you mention it the longer it will take for it to fade out of existence from the franchise. Pred dogs man.... c'mon.. the predalien is a total abomination to the Yautja. An affront to them. So they are hunted down swiftly and put down by the best hunters. Only bad bloods would ever consider gene splicing. Stealing DNA, unnatural upgrades giving unfair advantages. So yeah, it might of been a legit idea at some point. But Yautja are too proud/traditional to splice or tamper with genetic engineering at all. Their Amengi overlords had already messed with them like that far back in their early evolution as a species. So genetic manipulation/engineering is a sore point for the Yautja. Let alone gene splicing with human - prey, and frigging American Pittbulls or whatever they were. Yeah couple ideas from the storyline could of been made credible with some really good script writing. And canon lore paid attention too. But that movie was a horrible joke that almost killed the franchise altogether. Best scene in it ,is when classic Yautja wakes up in the lab. Rest is ridiculous garbage though.

I think it should be pointed out that in the case of Wolf, he was sent to Earth to hunt the Predalien, not to help humanity, but because the Yautja consider such creatures to be affronts to their species. It wouldn't have been honorable to allow such a creature to exist, as the Yautja seem to see Predaliens as a perversion of their species, and commonly refer to them as abominations. He also went to Earth to destroy any evidence of the Xenomorphs, the crashed Yautja ship, any of their technology, and all the bodies of the dead Yautja. Also, the Yautja know full well what devastating effects a Xenomorph infestation can have on a planet, and since Earth seems to be one of their favorite places to hunt, it would be advantageous to take care of the situation while the outbreak was still contained in a small area. It was also probably embarrassing to the Yautja that a simple Hunt had turned into such a fiasco.
In short, he was sent to Earth to clean up the mess that happened after the events of AVP. The fact that his actions spared humanity from having to deal with a Xenomorph outbreak was incidental.
True,spot on in fact I think. I actually have that movie on DVD. It wasn't that bad. Just so godamned dark,could hardly see all the best action scenes happening at night. It was not shockingly bad at all. Masterpiece next to the 2018 fail for sure. Requiem could of been so much better though. Would love to see a prequel movie just based around Wolf. Following his path from young blood to veteran legend. The whole Predator fanbase would pay to see that in cinemas right?

I agree with most of these. I might have taken out scar and put in Scarface instead, but that’s the only difference. I’m glad Ahab made the list. He’s my all time favorite
I just find it funny how Wolf vs Predalien leads to a tie due to him disarming himself. But when Dark (from the avp game) fights a Predalien and doesn't disarm himself, he wins. Imagine trying to fist fight the Predalien in a Lava field area.
An honorable mention that I believe could’ve been on there as well would be prince. he valiantly went on missions to save his people from the humans testing on them and stealing his peoples technology. Fight back to Xena morphs and slayed them which even though not entirely intended did help out the humans quite a bit. I believe he even as well allowed the main character to get away saving even more lives of humans unintentionally.

I think Wolf is "saving" the humans because Earth is the Yautja's hunting grounds for humans...I do not think he is trying to hellp humanity for selfless reasons.

This was a tough one but I can't argue with the outcome..... Well,,,, I could but then I would be guilty of allowing my shared feelings for Broken Tusk to sway my decision as the opening warned. Tough job indeed.

Hmmm I know that scene well,got the DVD. First time I saw it, didn't like. Then thought about Wolf's motivations.Way I see it. The cop stumbled onto Wolf in the early stages of his mission. Wolf was trying to keep his mission as low profile as he could, for as long as he could. Humans chasing him straight out the gate would just be a hindrance he might not be able to afford while hunting down xenos, and searching for the predalien at same time. He was hunting at night aswell, in the wee hrs. That was a deliberate move on his part to hopefully stay out of sight, and stay away from human intervention long as he could I am sure. Wolf could not afford human cop stumbling on him with com tech, to sound the alarm on big fucking alien in the forest, so early in the game. Aka Wolf knew the kill was not honourable. But only made out of necessity at the time. If Wolf could of got in and out . Culled the xeno infestation, and put down the predalien asap without any human intervention he would have I am sure??.. Would of only added to his legend back home yes?.Wolf's plan A was get in and out like some slick black ops, Navy Seal I reckon . Get job done ,quickly and covertly as possible. Get back home with a heroes welcome if he had the chance ? But as Schizo points out. Wolf took the mission also knowing it could be his last hunt. And I totally agree Wolf embraced it stoicly like a true veteran Yautja would. When his armour failed. He just ripped the rest away like he never really needed it. And faced the abomination. Stared it down, gave a last battle cry/ growl and went at the abomination, knowing his fate was probably sealed by then.

The town had been over run by xenos, the national guard called in etc . The town had become a warzone and Wolf saw no more reason to try and remain any kind of covert. Yes it was def a dishonourable kill, any real Yautja fan can see that as we have. How to put it. He acted like a black ops would do to a security guard that was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Know what I mean?. For the rest of it. Wolf acted honour bound to the Yautja code. He only killed two other humans. The 2 stoner's at the gun shop. Only caused they pointed guns at him right? He tied up the bigger brother protagonist hung him from the rafter in the shop like he was a naughty kid running around with a gun to close. Wolf could off just wasted everything in that shop, like a berserk bad blood . But he showed restraint and mercy to the human party in the shop. He was after the xenos number one. Left humans alone, the ones that did not point and ready guns at him yeah? doesn't kill at random like a bad blood. Stays focused on the xenos and the abomination. Only time he interacts with the humans is when he is forced too.
@@colddaze6680 I get where your coming from but the point of the matter is did he do it for humanity or for his peoples honor him killing the cop when he landed was to keep himself covert as a matter a fact he didnt save anyone in that movie he did spare the women and child which I will give credit for but end result he was on a mission to restore honor nothing more the infestation was a shock no one knew the predalien could reproduce he was specifically after that creature everyone and everything else was expendable

Why isn’t fugitive predator on this list he sacrificed himself to give mankind the predator killer to help them defend them selfs from a predator invasion he only killed those who tried to kill him no those who dident lived another day
He is heroic he sacrificed him self for the human species but the others except wolf did not sacrifice for man kind but only for 1 or 2 humans

They did Wolf wrong ending him with the nuke! I read a fan fiction story were Wolf knowing the humans would nuke the area before the Xenomorphs could break out and spread so Wolf dropped a nuke proof pod that he could have gotten to and survived the blast. However they changed a lot of the story to me it possible but considering how bad the film was the story always a major improvement.
The Amengi leader should have been named Van Damme or some variation of Jean-Claude Van Damme since the Amengi was the original Predator for the 1st film and the man in the Amengi suit was Jean-Claude Van Damme. And thank God Stan Winston was consulted and the Predator we know and love was created and replaced the Amengi. But it also cost Van Damme a job and a credit for the film. They could have had some fun and given a fun fact to remind everyone Van Damme was a part of the original film.
Wish Enforcer got an honourable mention. After all, he came to earth with the sole purpose of killing the psychotic Bad Blood. And even though he failed, he aided the humans in finishing off Bad Blood.
I like dark the Predator from avp 2010 game
Personally, I wouldn't have listed as Alpha as number one, but perhaps rather Prince Predator from AVP2 or had Dachande as number one... My reason being that Alpha isn't necessarily and may not even be canon to the Predator lore as according to Andrew Garza, the consultant for the Alien and Predator canon bible for Fox at the time, prior to the Disney purchase, has said that NECA has their own version of what is canon and what isn't in contrast to Fox at the time.
Perhaps, but now that there is a huge conflict about Aliens and Predators being in the same unverise, it can possible be that some of the predators that NECA had made can be canon.
Alpha was actually in the Predator Hunting Grounds video game, which I believe is canon.

It might be because Dark was there in pursuit of "greater" prey (the xenomorph's homeworld)
