Some people overreact when it comes to puberty. Ofc he'll loose a couple of notes. That doesn't take away his amazing talent. It's not only his high notes that are amazing! And even when he looses a couple of notes, the range will be ridiciously high for a male singer! Not saying you overreacted specifically, but some do :).
i hit puberty at 11 and thats when my voice got fucked over for high notes. I practice it again for a couple of years. Going on to 14 i can hit them almost flawlessly again.
