Errrrm... Gordon Flycamp was a *character* played by Steve Ryde! Mr Ryde was an actor as well as an announcer (and subsequently became a television producer and director, working on the post-1998 CITV presentation and then Dick and Dom for the BBC).
In fact, every CITV junction after 6:00 has the voice of someone other than Steve Ryde, apart from pre-recorded trailers.
