- Hi, I'm Ray. In this video, I chat about my Diamond MX 2000 Triplexer which covers 6 metres 2 metres and 70cms. It's for use with three separate transceivers and one triband antenna.

Thank you for explaining these concepts of Triplexer. I'm new to Ham Radio and about to buy, set up first shack. Looking at a "shack in a box" Yaesu FT-991A that has all HF, UHF, VHF bands and 2 inputs from antennas. Am looking at Diamond V2000A antenna for the tri-bands, but the mfg site mention Diamond MX-2000 Triplexer is "required to use" of this antenna. However, I think it depends on number of radios and number of inputs the radios have. As you know, FT-991A has 2 input connections. And the way as you explained I don't think I need the tri-plexer, since I'm putting this tri-band antenna into the UHF/VHF bands input on one transceiver. I'll run a dipole and co-axial cable to the HF bands 2nd input on the radio. There's definitely a learning curve here. No "Elmers" in our NE Minnesota "backwoods" area North of Lake Superior to consult. There are more grey wolves, black bears and moose here than "Elmers". UA-cam and couple MeWe Ham Radio groups are my main resources, aside from mfgr doc. So, thank you sire for explaining the concepts. This is what I need. 73 KF0EAU
I’m waiting for a ghoststory. All the best Ray.
I’m working on it. 😄

Nice one Ray thanks' de G6JMX
Nice...👍.
Can you plug a hf aerial and a 2m aerial into this device and use a single run of coax back to the radio?
No, it will only work on 6m 2m and 70cms.
@@g4nsj ok thanks.
Could I use one of these to pirate on MW and VHF FM at the same time? Just wondering for a friend.....
Yes, I think so.
Nice video, i liked your presentation skill and video, really good setup. Hope to catch you on the air :) 73 2E0FWE
