Hey, just found the channel, I really appreciate the info, I have a 2010 4 bolt pds, bought from a friend who found it beat in a lawn and built it up a bit. Rear has a terrible noise that comes and goes. I suspect bearings, going to be dropping the diff cover to change oil and probably just do axle bearings to start off. Great to find this resource. Was contemplating selling and buying a new one but I’d rather build our cart. We’re already lifted, wheels/tires, marine radio, few small speakers, new 48v worth of batteries. Back seat, light bar. Good cart, it’s my wife’s and I wanna get her squared away for her. Thanks again
Can you change covert a 2000 Ezgo TXT series cart to PDS and if so, do you have any video's showing how to do it? I'd rather have the switch on the dash than the lever on the floor
My series 3-bolt TXT (unknown year) will run forward, but not reverse. I have replaced the directional switch, the speed device under the floor mat, and the charging connector with wire harness. If I reverse polarity of one pair of motor connectors it will go on reverse, but not forward. The second pair of motor connectors do not do anything.
Hey Brian love your video's I have a 03 38 volt Ezgo PDS new batterys with a speed chip but it's slow going up hills with or with out the speed chip with the speed chip it run about 17mph on flat grown any suggestions? Thanks Mike
I have a 2000 ezgo txt with forward and reverse switch on bottom of the seat panel without run tow switch, can I convert and put the forward and reverse switch on the dash like a PDS cart?
I have a 2018 txt but I'm new to all this. How do I tell if mine is a freedom or medalist model. Im trying to order a new windshield for it. Thanks man!
I have a 2014 bbb ambush. I have read they use the same components as the ezgo carts. The gas side (subaru engine) does not shift all the time or when it does shift, it gets stuck in that position for a while. The electric side works perfect. So, is there a way to modify the rear to shift manually? The gas side is designed to shift with the electric side using the key. Do you have any videos that show something similar or any help with this issue. Thanks in advance.
I know where my serial number is but someone has cleaned paint off of it before I purchased it and I was wondering if that serial number is anywhere else on the cart? And please don't tell me in the glove box it's not there.it's a C0707 that is readable but the number for the frame is not legible any help in wherever it may be elsewhere would be greatly appreciated!
I found a body serial number by lifting front seat. On drivers side, at about same height as batteries. The serial# on chassis behind drivers side front tire (2008 and up?) was painted over. For me chassis # date was 2010.
Do you know anything about the EZGO ST 0484 2x2 ? I have one and it seems to have lower gearing then the regular 12to1 txts we put 500 amp 48v alltrax big wires and a plum quick demon and thing will only do about 20
Hey Brian I'm here in Kemah Texas I'm thinking about putting a 6 inch lift on my 04 EZGO PDS can you tell me once I do the lifts will I have to change my shocks to a different length or do the shocks that are OEM work okay with the lift...? 👍
Im so confused...i have a pds cart because it has the toggle switch on dash and run/tow switch...but i have 3 bolt steering not 4 bolt....it says ezgo but it doesnt have a normal ezgo vin...it says made in china and says manufacture year 2012
dunno what TXT means, thought it meant Text . I have a white 48v cart ,kinda roundy front end, switch is the key switch R/N/D has a run tow switch about middle ways behind the batteries trying to find out what kind of eZgo it is, if anyone knows?
I have a PDS txt shuttle 6 with a Curtis sepex controller. Lifted with 22” tires. I have the high speed chip in it and new batteries. I am still only able to get 19mph out of it. Any ideas on how to get some more speed?
hey guys. Anyone here know a guy that has one of the Danaher handsets that would be willing to shoot me the wiring diagram at the serial port plug at the base of the handset? My girls yanked my wires out...
I just bought a cart from the neighbor. There's no way it's not like a 1993 (joking) it is old as hell. I'm just gonna have to strip the whole thing down and build it from scratch. I'm just gonna want to put a new motor and the whole kit, ain't I? It already needs new batteries, but I'm led to believe it works. Maybe I'll just get batteries until more stuff breaks down. Ultimately, I definitely want AC motor and all new electrical system, little bit of a lift, it's a backyard farm cart, and a solar panel. I've wanted a cart with a solar panel since I can remember.
Hey man, some good info here. I'm still having trouble with mine, though. Dude I bought it from fleeced me, told me it was a 2014 48v. It was limping when I got it, I planned to replace the batteries anyway. First thing I replaced was the batteries with a 100AH lithium. No juice. Then, the solenoid. No juice. That's when we realized, the controller, solenoid and motor are 36v but he had 6x8 lead acid batteries. Looks like he put a 2014+ body on a 2004 EZ-GO. So, I'm having difficulty trying to find which controller to get. I'm looking at the Navitas specifically so me and my friends will all have the same controller, and it's programmable if I want to upgrade more later on. The problem is which controller to get since the harnesses are different, I'm still not positive what type of cart this is. It has an FNR so don't think it's PDS. No run/tow switch. But when I typed the part number for the current controller in google, a link came up for a controller and it said "Not to be used with DCS or PDS". What else would it be?
Yeah I have a 1993 EZGO golf cart it's the 3 bolt steering column I need to know what axle a 6-inch axle that I can put under it I can't seem to find nothing on the internet that 293 what years will fit this

Can you or Cory show how to convert the 3 bolt to 4 bolt with the adapter plate? I want to do it but am newbie at this. Thanks and great video!🤘
Do you have a video to show how to install a navitas on a series cart? I was told that you have to rewire the main wiring harness to convert?
Thanks for this info. Saved me a TON of time.

I’m not an expert but I think you just have the freedom chip.
I have a 2000 ezgo txt with forward and reverse switch on bottom of the seat panel without run tow switch, can I convert and put the forward and reverse switch on the dash like a PDS cart?
I just bought a 2011 ez go gas - what is the difference between the txt and rxv?

I have a 2018 txt but I'm new to all this. How do I tell if mine is a freedom or medalist model. Im trying to order a new windshield for it. Thanks man!

How do you slam a 2000 ez-go on air shock ' s
Do you know anything about the EZGO ST 0484 2x2 ? I have one and it seems to have lower gearing then the regular 12to1 txts we put 500 amp 48v alltrax big wires and a plum quick demon and thing will only do about 20
I cannot find any information on the internet on that carts gear ratio I had all the parts in a 98 series txt 3 bolt before and was going 29
Hey Brian I'm here in Kemah Texas I'm thinking about putting a 6 inch lift on my 04 EZGO PDS can you tell me once I do the lifts will I have to change my shocks to a different length or do the shocks that are OEM work okay with the lift...? 👍
Hey bud your OEM shocks will work on the Drop Axle or spindle lift. If you purchased a Double A arm or Long Travel Lift they come with new shocks.
Im so confused...i have a pds cart because it has the toggle switch on dash and run/tow switch...but i have 3 bolt steering not 4 bolt....it says ezgo but it doesnt have a normal ezgo vin...it says made in china and says manufacture year 2012
That’s probably not a true ezgo
@Golf Carts Modified yes I think it is Chinese clone...but some parts might be true ezgo...it's a Frankenstein
Is there anyway to contact u directly. Im new to rebuilding a cart for retirement
dunno what TXT means, thought it meant Text . I have a white 48v cart ,kinda roundy front end, switch is the key switch R/N/D has a run tow switch about middle ways behind the batteries trying to find out what kind of eZgo it is, if anyone knows?
There's someone else's video that shows how to identify, 2008 and up behind driver front tire on chassis is a label.
I'll just be happy if I can make my older series cart go at any speed above zero miles an hour. No switch. Shifter down by my leg.
I have a PDS txt shuttle 6 with a Curtis sepex controller. Lifted with 22” tires. I have the high speed chip in it and new batteries. I am still only able to get 19mph out of it. Any ideas on how to get some more speed?
What's the high speed chip? Just the jumper wire thing?
I have a 2007 txt pds and I'm wanting just more torque for climbing hills better and not necessarily more speed. What can I do? Thanks
Smaller tires...bigger wires....higher amp solenoid+controller
hey guys. Anyone here know a guy that has one of the Danaher handsets that would be willing to shoot me the wiring diagram at the serial port plug at the base of the handset? My girls yanked my wires out...
why do older GAS EZGO's hold their value really well? You could buy a new one fully loaded for around 10k and a 2005 loaded for around 6,500??
Don't ya hate it when ubask a question and it never gets fucking answered?

This appears to only apply to electric carts, not gas carts. Title should reflect this.
1
DCS = Drive Control System
PDS = Precision Drive System
