What a nice surprise, a favorite song by one of my favorite reactors! Personally, for me, the summer of 1969 was my "breakout" year, the year when my guardian family (I was an orphan) realized I was beyond their control. When i finally bought my 1st electric guitar, this was the first song i taught myself. Thank you, Empress! Stay well 😇☺️🌹🎸
THANK YOU for reacting to one of my all-time favorite songs! Bryan Adams has MANY other great ones too: "Everything I Do (I Do it For You)"; "Heaven"; "All For Love"
In my teens and early twenties in the 80’s. Always listening to the radio. It seemed like the 80’s was a music factory that just kept turning out great songs. Pop charts were highly competitive. Simple and imo better times.
The 80s were better times for whom exactly? White straight men? Was the 80s better for non-Caucasians/visible ethnic minorities? Better for women? Better for LGTBQ+ folks? Better for folks who celebrated and followed other religions outside of Christianity? How about those who suffered various mental illnesses and disorders? How about autistic folks and folks with learning disabilities? How about those who died to things that modern medicine and knowledge can now save? Who was the 80s better for? Remember nostalgia has humans look at the past with rose-colored glasses and also the fact that human memory is flawed and usually not that accurate. I would also point out that a lot of folks look back on their childhood with fondness..back before one had much(of any) responsibilities and duties, full-time jobs, didn't have to pay taxes or worry about rent and affording groceries...
The back & forth between him & the interviewer, and how the interviewer "leaps up" when he "falls out" of the hammock never fails to amuse. Also, did you notice the old girlfriend driving by at the end of the video, that was the whole "Who's that?" "Nobody!" bit
Bryan Adams ft Melaine C - When you're gone. I sure that you Will Like this Music. I'd like that you listen it!!! Thank you very much georgious girl! 🥰❤
Bryan Adams has never said that the song is about the year 1969 which most people assume it is. He would have been 10 years old at the time if that were true. It's about, ahem, you know what :D
The girl in the video is Lysette Anthony, a British actress. Absolutely stunning.
I was 18 yrs old in the summer of ‘69. Playing in a working band & attending college. Such an exciting time so much great music and cool people.
Wow 🤩 Good to know 👍
