What if you want to follow god but your stuck in drug addiction...Why doesn't God just take away the cravings. I been trying to get better for years without success and I taught God would just take away the cravings.
As a whole the word brought was seasonal for me the one part that really stuck out was the conflict of calling. I find myself in that very situation and In regards to the many heads statement (which I find hilariously truthful) I have been called to so many things but I've always struggled to do what I know God has been calling me to be. It's hard because alot of who I am and what I've done so far has to be put aside so I can be that. Thanks ps Steve and elevation church for this timely truth.

I'm not sure if this counts but maybe. I have a disability that keeps me out of work and driving. During the past 3 years I have noticed the absolute Beauty of of Creation that my wife is to busy to see. I have seen amazing sunset's summer Thunder storms plants that I used to pass by with out a thought. Just recently I used to dislike all snow but I saw this Sparkling or Scintillating as I said snow that caught the light just right to sparkle! Very Beautiful Creation is. I'm thinking that God may be trying to say something to just me as my wife scoffs at the snow. Maybe God is Whispering to just me in these moments that I notice. God bless everyone who reads this. Surely most sincere believers have studied to some extent the sinful nature of man and the need to extinguish it from our lives. How often should the preacher expound upon this particular subject matter when there are so many other matters of the faith to be taught?? Sin was dealt with on the cross. I accept the grace of God to deal with my personal sin. If the preacher and the ministry that's entrusted to him are bearing good fruit, surely God will inform him that he and the congregation need to confront sin that has crept into the camp.
i’m watching this a whole year later and it is EXACTLY what i needed... i’m sixteen and i have a burning passion to be gods light through music and singing. I have no words just tears, Satan must know that whatever God is about to do is going to be so powerful because he won’t leave me alone!!! 😭 He’s broken me down and made me feel like I was wrong, made me doubt my calling, made me feel so weak in my faith... but God has the upper hand!! 🙏🏽❤️ I will stay in my place and just listen.
I went through the same thing when God called me to celibacy with him and when he called me to be an Irish Dancer. I was under attack for months, with nightmares, and waking up with panic attacks and a voice in my head that wouldn’t leave me alone, and sometimes it still does. All I could do was cling onto Jesus for dear life. God used that time in my life to build endurance in my faith, and He still is. God brings all things for good, and no matter how you suffer, God is using it for a greater purpose. Even though there will always be suffering, God will walk through the fire with us. May God be with you, and bless you! ☺️

On Saturday I wrote on a piece of paper "My calling is..." and put it up on my wall and told myself God will fill in the rest. This morning as I woke up and read the words a still voice finished the sentence and said 'God'. And now I just finished listening to this sermon and I'm amazed at how good God is. Father I shall listen. Praise God.
I'm a 25 year old who is still in college, and I have not made great decisions up to this point in my life. Without my father, I wouldn't have the opportunity to still be in school and "make something" of myself. The quote "If you're not dead, God's not done" really impacted me today. I often feel extremely unfulfilled, and have no idea what God has called me to do. Recently, I have been crying out my heart to God and allowing Him to change me into a new creature. I just hope that the new creature is something that would make God, as well as my family, proud.

I haven't been since my stepfather died and i always would say im never going back because if it wasn't my stepfather church i wouldn't go and i never did and I've never asked god for forgiveness but i realized that i am the church and no matter what god knows where my heart is but i have a son who loves god at the age of 6 years old and i want him to experience gods word at church also i have been having this heavy cold like feeling that comes over me when i pray when i talk about god to people i know he is calling on me i know he wants me to Speak and help people understand he loves them and no matter what You're going through remember he is there all you halft to do is pray to him

You ever watch a sermon and you have a beaming smile on your face because you know that this is a message that God wants you to hear. I've really lost my faith recently and tried to do things my own way. I'm finding it so difficult to have faith in these times but this message from Steven really spoke to me.

God how you break down the Bible leaves me in tears because I realized I didn’t know the Bible and because I couldn’t interprete it the way you do, I haven’t finished 1 single Bible reading plan. So from your scriptures I’d read the whole chapter and then continue with the video. What happened last night, I decided to read from 1 Samuel chapters 1 until chapter 18, I got encouraged by your interpretation that I just couldn’t put it down. Your teachings are the reason I am a Sunday school teacher this year and guess what, it’s something I wouldn’t do previously because I thought i didn’t know how, I wasn’t patient enough with my own kids and when I saw your video on the parable about the farmer’s seed, I knew God was speaking to me through you to give me the confidence to do it even though I didn’t know how! Yes, he is a really good teacher. But yes, PLEASE stay in the Bible and read it daily because certainly God speaks to us through His Word and His Word will never contradict his will for your life. Sometimes, just because we hear something over and over doesn't necessarily mean it is God, so please make sure what you hear lines up with the Bible, then it'll be difficult for you to go astray or be confused about His will for your life. @@dustymar4341 I try to tell people as often as possible to read God's word DAILY. His will is His Word! The Bible will never lead you away from God's will, but man will. Whenever a person thinks God is telling them something they must make sure it aligns with his word. He will never tell you anything that's contradictory to the Bible.
God has been speaking to me my whole life and I couldn’t figure out if it was Him. I’m glad this found me today. I feel like I have had a calling to sing. I have had a few circumstances happen that I thought was God pushing me toward it. I have learned through this sermon that I have ran the wrong way. I have never given my gift back to God. Please use me God for your glory. Please pray for me.

You are Spot on! 👍 Discipleship is more important than service. It's Crucial that we become Christ like, be His Disciples before we ever set out to do His will. NB : Otherwise, our service are counter effective and might even be a bad Testimony for Christ.
Discipleship and service go hand in hand. We are called to be Christ like, not Christ, but ourselves, flaws and all. He said greater works than these you will perform. When Jesus ascended he gave the Holy Spirit, which means with that you are already like him. So you serve even when you aren’t completely holy. We don’t need to walk with him for years until we can act. It’s in the service we are becoming stronger disciples. People need to hear the word of God and see it acted out from imperfect people. 🙏🏿
This is the second time i've listened to this preacher. The first I was at work listening on ear buds. I stopped paying attention and started humming to my self . And he caught my attention with "you might not even be listening right now, you could be singing to yourself or something." This time , 2 years later, I was literally falling asleep when he talked about dosing of during his sermons. Lol caught my attention. I came to faith after god made his existence very clear to me. Lately I've been slipping away from church and the calling he gave me. I needed this sermon.
Sometimes I have an intellectual understanding when listening to a sermon or teaching. Then sometimes, as in this case, I have a spiritual understanding. That is when the sermon aligns with what I’ve been reading, seeing or experiencing in a certain season. It provides added confirmation, new revelation and sometimes conviction. It is a bit unnerving and uncanny. So, as he preached, my Spirit was “nodding” in agreement.
More than one calling is a concept I never thought of. We’re taught our entire life find your calling and perfect it and walk in. We never look at all of responsibilities or seasons as our callings. This spoke to me! 🙌🏽

I absolutely love this pastor and his ways of teaching and telling. I turned to him last year when I was living a rough lifestyle in a rough relationship and he has always lifted me up thank you, pastor Steven💙
I know when God is speaking to me when I cry after hearing him. It may seem weird to some but that is how I know. The holy spirit resounds in the core of my body. I want to immediately drop to my knees. I love him so much!!!

I have a question dough? Do we really have a choice if we don't do what God is calling us to do, we'll go to hell.
What if you want to follow god but your stuck in drug addiction...Why doesn't God just take away the cravings. I been trying to get better for years without success and I taught God would just take away the cravings.
As a whole the word brought was seasonal for me the one part that really stuck out was the conflict of calling. I find myself in that very situation and In regards to the many heads statement (which I find hilariously truthful) I have been called to so many things but I've always struggled to do what I know God has been calling me to be. It's hard because alot of who I am and what I've done so far has to be put aside so I can be that. Thanks ps Steve and elevation church for this timely truth.

I'm not sure if this counts but maybe. I have a disability that keeps me out of work and driving. During the past 3 years I have noticed the absolute Beauty of of Creation that my wife is to busy to see. I have seen amazing sunset's summer Thunder storms plants that I used to pass by with out a thought. Just recently I used to dislike all snow but I saw this Sparkling or Scintillating as I said snow that caught the light just right to sparkle! Very Beautiful Creation is. I'm thinking that God may be trying to say something to just me as my wife scoffs at the snow. Maybe God is Whispering to just me in these moments that I notice. God bless everyone who reads this. I enjoy and learn so much from you and I am the least to judge anyone, this doesn't come from a place of casting stones or casting judegment but from a place of love for correction, that me and my young 3 children watch your sermons on youtube and if the tv is on, my little ones are hearing your words, not this sermon but one that came on after you used a word I wouldn't agree is okay or would be in the bible (what would Jesus do or say) but I say this with upmost respect and love for the younger generations that look up to you and for yours and your families sake and sadly others that may think its okay to talk as the world talks. Surely most sincere believers have studied to some extent the sinful nature of man and the need to extinguish it from our lives. How often should the preacher expound upon this particular subject matter when there are so many other matters of the faith to be taught?? Sin was dealt with on the cross. I accept the grace of God to deal with my personal sin. If the preacher and the ministry that's entrusted to him are bearing good fruit, surely God will inform him that he and the congregation need to confront sin that has crept into the camp.

I went through the same thing when God called me to celibacy with him and when he called me to be an Irish Dancer. I was under attack for months, with nightmares, and waking up with panic attacks and a voice in my head that wouldn’t leave me alone, and sometimes it still does. All I could do was cling onto Jesus for dear life. God used that time in my life to build endurance in my faith, and He still is. God brings all things for good, and no matter how you suffer, God is using it for a greater purpose. Even though there will always be suffering, God will walk through the fire with us. May God be with you, and bless you! ☺️

I'm a 25 year old who is still in college, and I have not made great decisions up to this point in my life. Without my father, I wouldn't have the opportunity to still be in school and "make something" of myself. The quote "If you're not dead, God's not done" really impacted me today. I often feel extremely unfulfilled, and have no idea what God has called me to do. Recently, I have been crying out my heart to God and allowing Him to change me into a new creature. I just hope that the new creature is something that would make God, as well as my family, proud.

Bible the word of god, the opening of the gates of heaven
I accidentally came across one of your videos towards the end of last year, I don’t even remember how but I haven’t looked back. I’ve always struggled to sleep at night, I’m a late sleeper and since last year every time I feel troubled and cannot sleep I watch your videos, which is almost every night. I feel blessed every single time. God how you break down the Bible leaves me in tears because I realized I didn’t know the Bible and because I couldn’t interprete it the way you do, I haven’t finished 1 single Bible reading plan. So from your scriptures I’d read the whole chapter and then continue with the video. What happened last night, I decided to read from 1 Samuel chapters 1 until chapter 18, I got encouraged by your interpretation that I just couldn’t put it down. Your teachings are the reason I am a Sunday school teacher this year and guess what, it’s something I wouldn’t do previously because I thought i didn’t know how, I wasn’t patient enough with my own kids and when I saw your video on the parable about the farmer’s seed, I knew God was speaking to me through you to give me the confidence to do it even though I didn’t know how! Stay blessed, I love you. You are God sent to me
Yes, he is a really good teacher. But yes, PLEASE stay in the Bible and read it daily because certainly God speaks to us through His Word and His Word will never contradict his will for your life. Sometimes, just because we hear something over and over doesn't necessarily mean it is God, so please make sure what you hear lines up with the Bible, then it'll be difficult for you to go astray or be confused about His will for your life. Whenever a person thinks God is telling them something they must make sure it aligns with his word. He will never tell you anything that's contradictory to the Bible.

I’m glad this found me today. I feel like I have had a calling to sing. I have had a few circumstances happen that I thought was God pushing me toward it. I have learned through this sermon that I have ran the wrong way. I have never given my gift back to God. Please use me God for your glory. Please pray for me.

You are Spot on! 👍 Discipleship is more important than service. It's Crucial that we become Christ like, be His Disciples before we ever set out to do His will.
NB : Otherwise, our service are counter effective and might even be a bad Testimony for Christ.
Discipleship and service go hand in hand. We are called to be Christ like, not Christ, but ourselves, flaws and all. He said greater works than these you will perform. When Jesus ascended he gave the Holy Spirit, which means with that you are already like him. So you serve even when you aren’t completely holy. We don’t need to walk with him for years until we can act. It’s in the service we are becoming stronger disciples. People need to hear the word of God and see it acted out from imperfect people. 🙏🏿
This is the second time i've listened to this preacher. The first I was at work listening on ear buds. I stopped paying attention and started humming to my self . And he caught my attention with "you might not even be listening right now, you could be singing to yourself or something." This time , 2 years later, I was literally falling asleep when he talked about dosing of during his sermons. Lol caught my attention. I came to faith after god made his existence very clear to me. Lately I've been slipping away from church and the calling he gave me. I needed this sermon.
I need to listen to Gods voice in my head rather then my own doubting negative thoughts. His plan for me is greater then my plan.

Sometimes I have an intellectual understanding when listening to a sermon or teaching. Then sometimes, as in this case, I have a spiritual understanding. That is when the sermon aligns with what I’ve been reading, seeing or experiencing in a certain season. It provides added confirmation, new revelation and sometimes conviction. It is a bit unnerving and uncanny. So, as he preached, my Spirit was “nodding” in agreement.
More than one calling is a concept I never thought of. We’re taught our entire life find your calling and perfect it and walk in. We never look at all of responsibilities or seasons as our callings. This spoke to me! 🙌🏽
I want to thank you today for this sermon. Although two years later this came to me it was God speaking through you at the time I needed to hear it. You see, today I had thoughts of taking my own life. God works in mysterious ways as this was the first thing that popped up on UA-cam today. I listened to it and it was what I needed to hear.
