Perhaps they are going to make the cosmetic changes for humvee and barrack troops later on. Since rn , none of them have any alternate variants.

Tbh I think they should make something like this if you have that tower form tb (imagine that you have dj in tb) and if you have edj in tdx you will get free skin (also this can be work by making badge)
With this both game will get benefits TB will get more visits and new player to play the game and TDX will got a TB player to come to grind the tower that they want (for TB skin) and for people who don’t want to grind in TB then just use robux
Also if you already buy the skin but you have that tower form TB already you will get like coins/crate or something whatever TDX dev want to.

I don’t know why ppl r complaining about the update so much. The skins don’t give a major advantage at all + it’s just a choice if you want a cool skin or not. The crate system can be frustrating too but again, it’s just skins and only for cosmetic purposes so, imo this was a good update 🤷

some of them dont look like the actual tb version like the max tb jug its missing the firing animation, the glowing injector things on his shoulders and the glowing chestplate diamond and the laser sounds but overall they're still good
i believe most of them are suppost to be a very old version of the towers, which is why they dont have firing animiations
tb commando x-5 model are actually based from 2017 if i remember and yeah in that time most of TB towers dont have animation (only fragger, knifer, aviator had animation)

I understand the hate for the crate system, and the copies, but hey, at least we’ll get our money back for those copies, so we can do other things with said money, and the TB skins, costing robux is what I expected, as developers try their best to profit off of a collab, sadly, but they’re not greedy, their implanting a refund system for our copies probably right now, it’ll just take time.

There is questions that the "question and answer" have that people has been asking other people despite them knowing nothing about it. The question is "will Tower Battle skin be for a limited time?". I liked it if you put the answer in the FAQ.

there will be an event with tower battles zombies (but animated better) with the tower defense x towers, and as a reward you will get the tower battles commander that has only one path to stay true to the original, and possibly a tower battles farm skin

These skins are not worth the robux. Like tower battles soldier DOES NOT go with operator and it should be for ranger. They could’ve done mercenary for an operator skin because they are both a cheap fast fire rate tower. Sniper top path is good, but bottom path should’ve replaced it with level 3 marksman with level 3 bottom path and the rest of the upgrades should be tower battles marksman. Tower battles tuber missile trooper, the skin looks good with top path, but bottom path does not looks good like it could’ve been better because it looks like it is wearing plastic or tin foil around its body. Tower battles commando juggernaut, I admire the top path upgrade as they gave it kind of the look as level 4 commando and what makes it better is the top path has a big turret similar to tower battles golden commando’s max level turret.
Dj is the only good one, the others are watered down versions of their tb versions bc contrary to popular belief tb had firing animations

this game feels very predatory, in the sense that it has good graphics but shitty gameplay and mechanics. lots of things are locked behind paywalls or lots of grinding, and the skins are marketed specifically so that people are forced to spend robux as well as in game cash to get skins. the skin crate is specifically only to encourage gambling, if john actually wanted to put effort into making a good skin system he would just make a color slider for common recolors and a shop instead of gambling for them.

@@idkanymore1298 dude even though TDS has micro transactions its not as predatory as TDX's, you can get deluxe creates and premium crates for just playing long enough, hell they even planned to release some event towers as coins/gems(i think, might not be) in tdx you have litterally skins that are ACTUALLY locked behind a paywall, as well as speedup feature that as completely stolen from BTD6, VIP that gives unfair grinding advantage and many other bad stuff. Oh as well john roblox never listens to any critism, and just nerfs anything that helps beginner players to beat certain modes just as intermediate, which takes already a grind to take to beat. In comparison, in TDS you could beat "molten" mode just using sniper or hunter, for fallen its a bit harder but it doesn't take as much time as TDX.
Conclusion: Overhyped mess that is only liked by the fans who were manipulated into thinking TDX is any better, TDX is just TDS but has worse paywalls

They are a cosmetic item that add literally nothing to the mechanics or gameplay. Do not expect everything to be free and in no case is this remotely close to unfair.

Overall this update was : meh.
Coming out of the barracks release this was a let down.
The skins that are good you have a low chance of even getting, there is no payback system implied for dupe skins , and most skins you’ll get unless you’ve got robux laying around for the tb skins, are just recolors.
what i hoped for was a reimagining of the towers but with the animations and feel of tdx, anyone else agree?

@HokoKioku I mean, in tdx, nothing is hard enough for you to need to spend robux other than the ship which you can not buy. While there is only one cosmetic that is forcing you to buy it. In tds, it's very rare to get a free deluxe crate, or it takes a week to get a free premium crate. But they both do have a free way.

Fun fact:the tb operator skin when upgraded at the bottom path deals damage to bullet proof zombies so if you don’t have the rocket launcher guy but you have an upgraded tb operator dont worry if a bulletproof zombie spawns
